Clinton to Head U.N.? Not if the Bolton Standard is Applied

So former President Bill Clinton wants to be Secretary General of the United Nations. The same John Harris of the Washington Post who wrote that article also has a book out called The Survivor: Bill Clinton in the White House. In it he reports some of the milder examples of Clinton's behavior in office, some of which have not been previously reported.

I learned all I needed to know about the real Clinton's from my own experience: a three way chance encounter of just me, Bill and Hill. It pretty much confirmed all the stuff that was later reported and written about.

With the Bolton nomination to become our Ambassador to the United Nations, much has been made about his character and how it would affect his ability to be effective in the job. It's reported that he used harsh language, might have screamed and yelled, and might, I say MIGHT have followed a woman down the corridor of a Moscow hotel demanding information...

Oh shades of horror!

Senator George Voinovich of Ohio, was in tears on the Senate floor when he told fellow Senators what a bad thing the Bolton confirmation to this important post would be:

Does he have the character, leadership, interpersonal skills, self discipline, common decency, and understanding of the chain of command to lead his team to victory?.... I believe John Bolton would have been fired if he had worked for a major corporation. That is not the behavior of a true leader who upholds the kind of democracy President Bush is seeking to promote globally. This is not the behavior that should be endorsed as the face of the United States to the world community at the United Nations. It, rather, is my opinion that John Bolton is the poster child of what the diplomatic corps should not be.

Well, as we all know the U.N. is a mess. The Iraq oil for terror scandal and rapes in the Congo by "peacekeepers" is just the tip of the iceberg. Feel free to read further down this blog if you need a refresher.

So we should send Bill Clinton to clean up the mess? This man with a serial pattern of sexual abuse, including rape, would fit the model U.N. diplomat as Senator Voinovich outlined above?

A full report on Bill Clinton's rape of Juanita Broadderick is here. Download the PDF of chapter 8 if you want the facts. If you don't want the facts, I assume you are a Democrat who will believe anything and say anything for the sake of your neosocialist ambitions.

But once again, as most of us are aware, standards of behavior and conduct are only meant to be applied to Republicans.
