Iraq's December Election: A VICTORY Strategy!

We are but days away from Iraq's next step on the transition from bullets to ballots; from dictatorship to democracy. On December 15, the election of a permament government under the recently approved constitution will be a milestone for Iraq and the entire Middle East.

It has been a long and difficult road to reach this astounding achievement and many more troubled days lie ahead. But with a succesful election this week, the course is clear.

Every step of the way the Defeaticrats and their allies in the news media and academia all said it could not happen. Every step of the way from the turning over of soveriengty, the establishment of a provisional government, the January election and the constitutional referendum in October, the defeatists have been WRONG, WRONG, WRONG.

Leading up to that first election no one knew if the Iraqi people would brave the threats of violence and vote. Sunnis threatened a civil war if that inital vote was not postponed and Defeaticrats were only too eager to suggest the same.

Expressing the moonbat view which has now become prevalent among the Defeaticrats, a commenter at Razor Sharp Claws had this to say:
Listening to George Bush give his inauguration speech, all I can think of are the thousands of people who are dead because of us; because our Congress failed in its duty to control the abuse of our military, because our people allowed fear to overwhelm intelligence, and because our president put greed and personal agendas over life and right.

Now we are going to kill hundreds more in order to hold an event that will resolve nothing. The upcoming election in Iraq is poorly timed and unwise. It will be meaningless and without value to everyone except the Bush administration, which is thoughtlessly driving it and the insurgents who will use it as a focal point for violence and death. To the families and individuals who will die for this sorry and ill-conceived sham of democracy, I can only say I am sorry. For all our sakes, am very sorry.
No doubt this individual, who feigns such a concern for the Iraqi people would also express his or her sorrow for the suffering Iraqis endured for decades under Saddam. But with most Defeaticrats, expressing such concern is a throwaway line. Can't let a thing like the torture and horrific deaths of hundreds of thousands get in the way of your Bush bash.

The January election was a miracle of freedom and it created a sea change in Iraq and throughout the Middle East. It showed above all that the Iraqi people want democracy and freedom. They desire hope over hate and terror.

It's appalling that just days from this December milestone, the Defeaticrats would be all over Al Jazeera telling the Iraqi people that it was a "mistake" "we can't win."

If as expected and the Iraqi people reject the Defeaticrats surrender to terrorists, we can all be proud that one man, with vision, dedication, leadership AND A PLAN, made it possible.

Thank you President Bush for not listening to the cut and run brigade!
