It started with a dream that became a nightmare!
"Hope" and "change" were the slogans that propelled Barack Obama to become the 44th President of the United States. Obama won with a campaign based solely on emotion and one where difficult questions were rarely asked, let alone answered.
The success of that effort in 2008 was fueled by the most massive influx of money into modern politics and aided by overt fraud perpetrated by groups like ACORN who felt that stealing an election was their right.
But like every house of cards it soon came crashing down. The old equation: Money + Power = Corruption proved all too true when coupled with ambition of the cadre of untested, unchecked Obama followers who like the skeletons in Obama's closet followed him into the White House.
Never before have the hopes and dreams of Americans been raised to such heights only to crash down so hard. The happy Obamatons who thought Obama would heal the planet, put gas in their car and pay for their mortgage while making the world love us learned all too quickly that campaign speeches mean little when those who govern are corrupted and incompetent.
It was only a matter of time before Obama's chickens came home to roost. The crises, the missed opportunities, the scandals, economic collapse and disappointments that followed Obama's election could have been avoided if voters had only looked behind the curtain to see who and what they were really voting for. But now, the damage is done and the only remedy is to correct the mistake that was made in 2008.
