Muther Sheehan: Bush to Blame for Hurricane

Not content to say such offensive garbage like:

How can they choke down their food knowing it is purchased off of the flesh and blood of others? We have found our 'Noble Cause.' And it is OIL. This man and his handlers need to be stopped,"

"Stopped" Muther Sheehan? Is this the utter derangement your "absolute moral authority" has led you to? Can anyone say "Sieg Heil?"

You folks tried to steal an election in 2000. And Republicans won again in 2002. Even with massive documented fraud by Democrats in several key states in 2004 President Bush was re-elected along with more Republicans in the House and Senate. The will of the people as expressed through their constitutionally guaranteed rights has spoken and yet you say this man needs to be stopped?

Muther Sheehan, media whore extraordinaire, went on to say:

"He [Bush] will be heading to Louisiana to see the devastation that his environmental policies and his killing policies have caused."

It boggles the mind how anyone could take this crazed socialist whacko seriously. To the few sane people still left in the Democrat Party, I ask: when are you going to take back your party from these fools?

"Freedom Fighter" Saddam's Trial Evidence

If you're on speaking terms with Muther Sheehan, please pass along this post with evidence that will be introduced in the trial of "freedom fighter" Saddam Hussein's trial later this year:

From Der Spiegel and the New York Times:

A chain of evidence that investigators believe will help convict Saddam Hussein begins at a windswept grave in the desert near Hatra, in northern Iraq.

The burial site - a series of deep trenches that held about 2,500 bodies, many of them women and children - is one of many mass graves that dot the country. But it was the first excavated by an American investigative team working with a special Iraqi tribunal to build cases against Mr. Hussein and others in his government.
...
[W]hat was found at Hatra shows how the Hussein leadership made a "business of killing people" - the scrape marks from the blade of the bulldozer that shoved victims into the trench, the point-blank shots to the backs of even the babies' heads, the withered body of a 3- or 4-year-old boy, still clutching a red and white ball.

Father and child gassed in Halabja

Investigators have also authenticated Iraqi government documents and audiotapes seized by Kurdish militias in the early 1990's. In a June 1987 document, Ali Hassan al-Majid, one of Mr. Hussein's cousins and top deputies, commanded Iraqi troops "to carry out random bombardments using artillery, helicopters, and aircraft at all times of the day and night in order to kill the largest number of persons present" in areas linked to Kurdish fighters. On an audiotape, Mr. Majid, who became known as "Chemical Ali," can be heard shouting, at a Baath Party meeting about Kurdish villagers: "I will kill them all with chemical weapons."
...
Human Rights Watch, the New York-based group, has estimated that up to 100,000 Kurds, mostly civilians, were killed, and 2,000 villages destroyed, including dozens bombed with chemical weapons.

Michael K. Trimble, an archaeologist who headed the forensics team, said the first surprise was that the trench held only women and children - about 300 in all. He said two-thirds were children.

The bodies were stacked haphazardly in four or five layers. Nearly all had a single .22-caliber pistol shot behind one ear. Mr. Trimble said it looked as if the first people had been shot inside the trench, while the others had been killed at the lip and pushed in by a bulldozer.

A second trench held 150 men, each sprayed with fire from automatic weapons. Most had been blindfolded and tied together in a chain.

Mr. Kehoe said this suggested that the women and children had been killed by Iraqi security officers carrying small-caliber arms, while the men had been killed by a military unit. "This was a killing field," he said, adding that, "multiple entities knew it was there."

Mr. Kehoe said the rolling field held up to a dozen other trenches, with at least 2,000 more bodies. Mr. Nivala said a second grave site, at Samawa in southern Iraq, yielded similar results; in April, investigators excavated one trench and found bodies of 114 Kurds, all but 5 women and children. Mr. Nivala said that field had 18 trenches, and 10 were filled, with at least 1,500 bodies.

And of course the response from people who wish to avoid any sense of responsiblity for overlooking this genocide willingly point fingers at anyone but themselves.

Who stood in the way of effective action to end this evil? Who did something about it?

This is the price for peace paid by our peacenik friends!

NO BLOOD FOR PLAYGROUNDS!

Here we see another example of the American occupiers perpretrating yet another crime against the Iraqi people. Ooopss.. sorry... I stepped a bit too close to the television when CNN was doing their latest profile on Muther Sheehan. Ick... give me a minute to take a shower...

Let me start again: U.S. Army Soldiers build playground equipment at a local school in Baghdad, Iraq, on Aug. 26, 2005. The Soldiers are from 1st Battalion, 41st Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 1st Armored Division. DoD photo by Tech. Sgt. Russell E. Cooley IV, U.S. Air Force.

Can you just hear some lefty say "I support the troops, but not the playground?" or how about some new lines for protest happy lefties: "NO BLOOD FOR PLAYGROUNDS." Or this take on a classic: "BUILD BOMBS, NOT PLAYGROUNDS!"

Thanks Solomonia!

Anti-War Protests Target Wounded at Army Hospital

How many times have we heard the defeat America crowd insist they "support the troops, but not the war." That on it's face is a contradiction. But do they really support the troops? Most of them would have gutted the Department of Defense long ago. Leaving it fit for little more than international wheels on meals. They support Congressional candidates who consistently vote against the weapons systems that keep our troops safe and lessen civilian casualties.

Well, now a new low. Code Pink, that iteration of socialist and marxist blame America groups (think: old commie whine in new bottles) has organized a protest outside the gates of Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington. Injured troops recovering from their wounds see a row of mock caskets reminding them of the friends they left behind and adding additional stress to their recovery.

Code Pinko is also one of the primary groups supporting Muther Sheehan's protest in Crawford, erecting crosses with the names of fallen soldiers without the permission of the family.

Groups like Code Pink and their sister organization MoveOn.org have become the new face of the Democrat Party. It must embarrass the few remaining Democrats who actually do support the troops to see this sad parade of defeat and the mockery of soldiers honor and memory currently in vogue with the Sheehan set.

Next time some lefty says "I support the troops, but not the war" ask them if they support Code Pink's effort to undermine the recovery of wounded soldiers? And while you are at it, make sure one of the mushy moderate middle ground voters whose only exposure to national news is the blip played in between episodes of American Idol hears the exchange.

Anti-War Protests Target Wounded at Army Hospital -- 08/25/2005:

The Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., the current home of hundreds of wounded veterans from the war in Iraq, has been the target of weekly anti-war demonstrations since March. The protesters hold signs that read 'Maimed
for Lies' and 'Enlist here and die for Halliburton.'

The anti-war demonstrators, who obtain their protest permits from the Washington, D.C., police department, position themselves directly in front of the main entrance to the Army Medical Center, which is located in northwest D.C., about five miles from the White House.

Among the props used by the protesters are mock caskets, lined up on the sidewalk to represent the death toll in Iraq.

Code Pink Women for Peace, one of the groups backing anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan's vigil outside President Bush's ranch in Crawford Texas, organizes the protests at Walter Reed as well.

...On Aug. 19, as the anti-war protesters chanted slogans such as "George Bush kills American soldiers," Cybercast News Service observed several wounded war veterans entering and departing the gates of Walter Reed, some with prosthetic limbs. Most of the demonstrations have been held on Friday evenings, a popular time for the family members of wounded soldiers to visit the hospital.

...

Kevin Pannell, who was recently treated at Walter Reed and had both legs amputated after an ambush grenade attack near Baghdad in 2004, considers the presence of the anti-war protesters in front of the hospital "distasteful."

When he was a patient at the hospital, Pannell said he initially tried to ignore the anti-war activists camped out in front of Walter Reed, until witnessing something that enraged him.

"We went by there one day and I drove by and [the anti-war protesters] had a bunch of flag-draped coffins laid out on the sidewalk. That, I thought, was probably the most distasteful thing I had ever seen. Ever," Pannell, a member of the Army's First Cavalry Division, told Cybercast News Service.

"You know that 95 percent of the guys in the hospital bed lost guys whenever they got hurt and survivors' guilt is the worst thing you can deal with," Pannell said, adding that other veterans recovering from wounds at Walter Reed share his resentment for the anti-war protesters.

...

"If I went to war and lost a leg and then found out from my hospital bed that I had been lied to, that the weapons I was sent to search for never existed, that the person who sent me to war had no plan but to exploit me, exploit the country I was sent to, I would be pretty angry... if I couldn't get out of my bed and protest myself, I would want someone else to do it in my name," Protestor Luke said.

[Mike's America edit: Luke, who never joined the military is also one who feels perfect ease in criticizing the troops and speaking in their name. Another example of the danger of assuming "absolute moral authority."]

"[The anti-war protesters] are really showing an enormous lack of respect for just everything that America has always stood for. They lost the election and now they are really, really angry and so they are picking on the wrong people," [Counter protestor] Wilde added.

..

Code Pink, the group organizing the anti-war demonstrations in front of the Walter Reed hospital, has a controversial leader and affiliations. As Cybercast News Service previously reported, Code Pink co-founder Medea Benjamin has expressed support for the Communist Viet Cong in Vietnam and the Nicaraguan Sandinistas.

In 2001, Benjamin was asked about anti-war protesters sympathizing with nations considered to be enemies of U.S. foreign policy, including the Viet Cong and the Sandinistas. "There's no one who will talk about how the other side is good," she reportedly told the San Francisco Chronicle.

Benjamin has also reportedly praised the Cuban regime of Fidel Castro. Benjamin told the San Francisco Chronicle that her visit to Cuba in the 1980s revealed to her a great country. "It seem[ed] like I died and went to heaven," she reportedly said.

Apparently, when you take on the mantle of "absolute moral authority" it allows you to not only use the honor and memory of fallen soldiers for political propaganda, but impede the recovery and offend those who were injured.

How low can these people go?

In Your Face Cindy SheeWitch!

NAMPA, Idaho -- President Bush today took direct aim at Cindy Sheehan, the anti-war protester who has set up camp near the Bushes Texas ranch and purports to speak for military moms who, like her, have lost a son in the Iraq war.

Speaking to hundreds of Idaho National Guardsmen, the president singled out military mom Tammy Pruett of Pocatello, Idaho, whose husband and five sons have all served in Iraq."Tammy has four sons serving in Iraq right now with the Idaho National Guard: Eric, Evan, Greg and Jeff. Last year her husband, Leon, and another son, Aaron, returned from Iraq, where they helped train Iraqi firefighters in Mosul.

"Tammy says this -- and I want you to hear this -- 'I know that if something happens to one of the boys, they would leave this world doing what they believe, what they think is right for our country.'

"And I guess you couldn't ask for a better way of life than giving it for something that you believe in. America lives in freedom because of families like the Pruetts."The crowd, made up mostly of military family members, broke into cheers and chants of "U-S-A! U-S-A!"

Muther Sheehan's Email Address

In an article entitled "Pulling No Punches" Muther Cindy Sheehan includes her email address:SCINDY121@aol.com I tested the address by sending a copy of "Some Things are Worth Fighting For" which includes the rather graphic description of the evil we seek to overcome in Iraq:

"This is when they brought out his wife, who was five months pregnant. One of the guards said that if he refused to talk he would get 12 guards to rape his wife until she lost the baby. Amer said nothing. So they did. We were forced to watch. Whenever one of us cast down his eyes, they would beat us."

"Amer's wife didn't lose the baby. So the guard took a knife, cut her belly open and took the baby out with his hands. The woman and child died minutes later. Then the guard used the same knife to cut Amer's throat."

The email has not bounced back, so I assume the address is still valid. So if anyone wants to send letters of encouragement to the best recruiting tool that Karl Rove and the Republican Party have ever had, please feel free to do so.

Another Insult to America and the History of 9-11

An update from Take Back the Memorial, and a reminder about the two night 9-11 Special on National Geographic which begins Sunday night, August 21st at 9PM.

New York Daily News :

Another insult to America's heritage at Freedom Center: How International Freedom Center risks fostering anti-U.S. sentiment

A global network of human rights museums is urging the International Freedom Center to downplay America in its exhibits and programs at Ground Zero, the Daily News has learned. The outrageous request is the latest controversy to torment the Freedom Center, whose leaders have tried to dispel the perception that it would be a home for America bashers.

'Don't feature America first,' the IFC has been advised by the consortium of 14 'museums of conscience' that quietly has been consulting with the Freedom Center for the past two years over plans for the hallowed site. 'Think internationally, where America is one of the many nations of the world.

"I can't think of a greater insult than to invite museums from other countries of the world to come and exploit what should be America's memorial," said Jack Lynch, who helped carry the body of his firefighter son Michael, 30, out of the rubble.

Oh hell no... don't feature "America first" but feel free to "Blame America first." Cindy Sheehan and the rest of the defeat America crowd would be proud.

Need Some Posters for Your Next Counter Protest?

Protest Warrior has some great stuff. This young bunch thought up these catchy posters and they take them out and strut them around at every leftwing freak show they can. Imagine all the fun they have teasing hippies with these goodies. They've also got some photos of the lefties that should convince any of our mushy moderates what the real agenda is behind these folks.

Your typical Cindy Sheehan supporter. What have I always said about "tie dyed hippie freaks?" See more of the freak show here.

Absolute Moral Authority Corrupts Absolutely

The Sheehan woman who organized the protest outside President Bush's Prarie Chapel Ranch (see aerial photo here) has been ordained by the left and some in the media with "absolute moral authority" to speak against the war because of the death of her son Casey, who loved the military.

The protest on the road approaching the President's ranch quickly took on a carnival atmosphere where old Volvos plastered with faded "Save the Whales" and "No Nukes" bumper stickers clog the small lane leading to the gate. Hippies even older than their Volvos pace up and down muttering "Halliburton, Halliburton."

On a more serious note, a field of white crosses was erected along the road, each with the name of a service member killed in Iraq. Each cross also represents a grieving family. Do the mother's and father's of those fallen soldiers also carry an "absolute moral authority?"

Ask Matt and Toni Matula of Spicewood Texas. Their 20 year old son Matthew, a Marine, was killed in Iraq last year. ""All this stuff going in crawford, we've just been watching it and shaking our heads until two days ago, we saw the crosses with the names on there," Matt Matula said. They noticed Matthew's name on one of the crosses.

From KXAN: "He's not a victim, he's a hero, and I think that everybody that's serving our country is heroes," Matt Matula said.

"He knew joining the Marines, his chances are, that was the purpose. His main number one job was to defend our country. He was very aware of that before he signed up," Toni Matula said.

So Matt Matula went to Crawford to stand up for his son, a Marine who proudly stood by the war he died in.

"I went there and had Matthew's name taken off of there. It's fine for people to grieve their own way. It aggravates me to see them using other people's names to further their cause," Matt Matula said.

"For people to use his name against it is not what he died for,
" Toni Matula said.

The Matulas' youngest son has just recently joined the military and is also heading to Iraq.

What about the absolute moral authority of Debbie Argel Bastian? Her son, Air Force Capt. Derek Argel, was buried at Arlington National Cemetery last week. When asked about the protest in Texas and a similar effort on the beach at Santa Barbara, she said: "I'm livid about it...Derek would not want to be remembered that way."

Saint Cindy's reaction to her critics? "The right wingers are really having a field day with me. It hurts me really badly, but I am willing to put up with the crap, if it ends the war a minute sooner than it would have."

Using the honor and memory of fallen soliders for political propaganda! Absolute Moral Authority Corrupts Absolutely!

VICTORY!

I used to eat lunch beside this monument. Know what it is?

This week marks the surrender of Japan and the end of World War II. According to Wikipedia, nearly sixty nine million people died with untold millions more scarred for life by the experience.

It was a war that could have been prevented. On a foggy late winter morning, March 7, 1936, Nazis marched a small contingent of troops back into the Rhineland, a move that was forbidden by the Treaty of Versailles which ended World War I.

France was obliged to act to repel this invasion. France could have easily done so with hundreds of thousands of troops nearby. But France did nothing. The League of Nations did what such International Organizations do, they talked. Winston Churchill warned of the danger, but was called a warmonger.

Hitler realized at the time that it was a gamble on his part; he counted on the British and French to be weak. Had they opposed him, it was quite likely that he would have been removed from office in Germany by a coup.

Yet, the "peace at any price" crowd prevailed and Hitler was free to continue his massive military buildup so that three years later, he unleashed the blitzkreig on Poland and later on France.

Has History Taught Us Nothing?

Today, we find ourselves in a new war. It was declared some years ago with ever increasing ferocity leading up to the vile attacks of September 11th and beyond.

Yet, the "peace at any price" mindset by some is still very much with us. It comes now in the form of those who say that "This country is not worth dying for." Will we wait until some greater horror is unleashed before we unite as a nation with other free peoples and take the effective steps necessary to win?

Left Wing "Truth Squads" Sow Mike's America Lie on Other Blogs

I'm flattered really. The notion that some squealing socialist thinks my blog so persuasive that he would choose to represent himself as me at another blog is, well, flattering.

At "4 rows back in the bleacher seats" otherwise listed as left field perspectives, a comment on the nightmare of the Gaza pullout claimed to be "Mike" and listed Mike's America as his blog address and said the following:

"Good thing Bush is a huge proponent of the Gaza Strip pull out ...see what lies do to people Mr. Bush? "

I ask you, my good readers, does that sound like me?

We've long ago learned that the people who claimed "Bush lied" are so reality challenged that no objective measure of truth stands in the way of their employing any falsehood to advance their agenda of defeat and appeasement. They are schooled by the master, Michael Moore, heir to Nazi propagandist Josef Goebbels. Any lie that advances the cause is a good thing for them.

Here is a link to the comment stream at 4 rows back f you care to weigh in.

Our Enemy: Totalitarian Islamists

The left seems to lap up nonsense like the following from the Sheehan woman: "You get America out of Iraq and Israel out of Palestine and you'll stop the terrorism."

For those on the left with a bumper sticker capacity to reason on complex issues, that might sound appealing. But it is instead the siren song of appeasement and defeat. A little over a week ago, I posted "To Win This War: First, Know Your Enemy" I was glad to see Michael Totten at Tech Central Station take on the issue in greater depth. I realize that asking anyone on the left to read something longer than a bumper sticker might be too much, but for the rest of you, I excerpt the article here:

Islamists have killed thousands of Westerners over the past couple of years -- thousands in New York City alone. But they have killed far more of their own fellow Muslims in Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Egypt, Sudan, Algeria, and too many other places to list. The Terror War, or whatever we ought to call it, is not about us. It's a war waged by totalitarian Islamists against the rest of the world. We aren't targets because of what we do or even because of who we are. We are targets because we are not them. They hate everybody and we're part of "everybody."
...
"Terrorism," suicidal or otherwise, isn't the enemy. Totalitarian Islamists are the enemy. They won't go away just because Western troops go away. Terrorism is merely the tactic they use against Westerners because they're too militarily incompetent to use anything else.

The overwhelming majority of Islamist killers aren't terrorists. They are soldiers and members of state-sanctioned death squads. Most victims of Islamists violence aren't Westerners...they're the Islamists' fellow Muslims. It's easy to forget this -- or not even be aware of it -- if you aren't interested in what happens inside the Muslim world when George W. Bush, Tony Blair, and the rest in the West aren't involved.

The Islamist regime in Sudan has killed more than a million people all by itself in the Christian south and in the Muslim region of Darfur. It would take tens of thousands of terrorists to do worse than that.

But the Islamists in Algeria gave it a hell of shot. More than 100,000 were killed during the past ten years in that country's civil war between radical Salafi fundamentalists and literally everyone else.

Iran's Islamist regime killed its way into power and kills to remain in power. Afghanistan's former Taliban regime likewise killed its way into power and killed to remain in power.

Naturally Islamists want to push Westerners out of what they think of as their part of the world. That's one part of their plan. But it's only one part. Westerners and other non-Muslims are also attacked when they get in the way of Islamist imperialism.

Hamas, for example, does not wish merely to liberate the West Bank and Gaza from Israeli occupation. They intend to conquer Israel itself -- Tel Aviv, Haifa, all of it.

Jemaah Islamiyah hopes to create an Islamist "superstate" in South Asia called Daulah Islamiyah -- and that superstate would include the non-Muslim countries of Thailand, Cambodia, and Australia. These are the Al Qaeda affiliated terrorists who murdered almost 200 hundred Australian tourists in Bali before the Iraq invasion had even begun.

This is the same jihad that rages in Thailand where more than 600 people have been killed by terrorists and in clashes with the police.

Iran's Lebanese proxy militia Hezbollah fought a guerilla war against Israeli occupation. But they also killed hundreds of people in Argentina, a nation that has never in its history occupied Muslim lands or fought a war against a Muslim country.

Spanish police found a bomb on the high-speed railway connecting Madrid and Seville that was almost identical to those used to kill hundreds in Madrid's train stations last year. This bomb was planted on the tracks after Spain withdrew its troops from Iraq.

Meanwhile Britain's political party Hizb'ut Tahrir, as the BBC put it, "promotes racism and anti-Semitic hatred, calls suicide bombers martyrs, and urges Muslims to kill Jewish people." The party is banned in most European countries, and for good reason. They not only want to see Western countries withdraw from Muslim lands. They want to Islamicize Europe and turn the West (along with the rest of the world) into a global Islamist theocracy.

Terrorism is not about us. It's about them and their totalitarian designs.

It also is not about Islam. At least it's not about Islam per se. It's about the radical fascist (and counter intuitively modern) Wahhabi and Salafi sects of Islam. A certain kind of conservative believes any and all Muslims are ideologically wired for jihad against Western infidels. I suppose it's easy to believe that if, like Robert Pape, they only pay attention to Islam when it violently collides with the West.

Intra-Muslim conflicts tell us as much about what it all means as conflicts between Muslims and the West. Take Iran, for instance. The regime is Islamist. "Death to America" is one of its rallying cries. But the Iranian "street" prefers "Death to the Ayatollahs." Few people in the world are as pro-American as the average Iranian. Those who want nothing more than to hang the mullahs from cranes are Muslims, too. They aren't driven to jihad against the West. They are gravitating toward the West, and specifically toward the U.S.

The Sunni Muslims in Iraqi Kurdistan also are among the most pro-American people on Earth. Their only "jihad" is against the Baathists and the theocratic fascists -- the very same people who just so happen to be our enemies.

Moderate Muslims aren't an urban legend imagined by politically correct liberals. They already make up the absolute majority in some parts of the world. They are our friends as well as our allies.

Robert Pape thinks we should withdraw from the region completely and "secure our interests in oil," as he put it, from a distance. If we take his advice we won't end the threat from our enemies. We'll give them military victories for free. And we'll throw our liberal Muslim friends to the Islamist wolf. It's the most disgraceful and despicable thing we could possibly do, not to mention one of the dumbest. Empowered liberal-democratic Muslims with guns will defeat the Islamists in the end. We can't do it without them, and they can't do it if they're languishing in mass graves and dungeons.

Some Things ARE Worth Fighting For

UPDATE: Here's the link to the original story in the May 24, 2004 Daily Star.

For all the hate America crowd, here's some perspective, courtesy of Sisu:

"What we have seen about the recent abuse at Abu Ghraib is a joke to us," says Ibrahim al-Idrissi, president of the Association for Free Prisoners, an Iraqi non-governmental organization that has been documenting the execution of political prisoners under the regime of Saddam Hussein, reports The Daily Star:

If Idrissi seems a bit callous about the fate of the Iraqis in US-run jails, he has probably earned the right to differ. He recalls a day in 1982, at the General Security prison in Baghdad:

"They called all the prisoners out to the courtyard for what they called a 'celebration.' We all knew what they meant by 'celebration.' All the prisoners were chained to a pipe that ran the length of the courtyard wall. One prisoner, Amer al-Tikriti, was called out. They said if he didn't tell them everything they wanted to know, they would show him torture like he had never seen. He merely told them he would show them patience like they had never seen."

Sheehan's Husband Seeks Divorce

I'm getting a bit tired of this woman and her vile America haters. "This country is not worth dying for" Sheehan said at an April rally for Lynne Stewart, convicted of providing material aide to terrorists in New York.

Apparently, her family is getting a bit tired of her too.

From The Smoking Gun-:
AUGUST 15--The next well-wisher approaching Cindy Sheehan at her tent encampment outside President George W. Bush's Texas vacation home may actually be a process server. That's because the California woman's husband--in a curious bit of timing--filed for divorce Friday afternoon. With Sheehan, 48, entering a second week outside Bush's Crawford retreat, her husband's divorce petition cites 'irreconcilable differences' for the demise of the couple's 28-year marriage (the Sheehans, the document states, have been separated since June 1).

Cindy Sheehan: "Get Israel out of Palestine"

Update: The Crawford Peace House mentioned below has removed the photos and text showing their anti semitic stand regarding Israel. A snapshot of the page before it was sanitized is here.

For the ever shrinking number of people who are not Bush haters but still have any sympathy for this Sheehan woman, here's her latest statement:

"You get America out of Iraq and Israel out of Palestine and you'll stop the terrorism," Sheehan declares. Earlier, Mrs. Sheehan stated her belief that her son "died for oil."

Just what does Israel have to do with the loss of Mrs. Sheehan's son Casey in Iraq?

The groups promoting Mrs. Sheehan's effort (and using her for fundraising purposes) are a rag tag collection of far left, neo-Marxist organizations who have long opposed Israel and United State's support for it. The Crawford Peace House is the primary organization sponsoring her visit outside the President's ranch. On their web site, they have a photo showing a map in which all of Israel becomes Palestine. While a text document further down the page describes removal of the settlements (which is currently happening) as part of the peace "process" it's clear that just removing settlements from Gaza or the West Bank would not satisfy these radicals.

Will Israeli Gaza Pullout Bring Peace?

This from the San Francisco Chronicle:

Fifteen-year-old Abdel Kareem Mohammed Abu Habel sits in an Israeli prison after he tried and failed to martyr himself last year. Would he do it again? Without a doubt, he says.

Abdel Kareem Mohammed Abu Habel agrees with Israeli critics who say that next week's disengagement from the Gaza Strip and parts of the West Bank will do nothing to stop Palestinian terrorist attacks against Israel.

Sitting in his jail cell in the Sharon Detention Center in central Israel, he also said he would never accept peace with the Jewish state, even if Israel eventually pulled back to its pre-1967 borders, behind the so-called Green Line. He doesn't even know what the Green Line is.

The only peace he wants "is to get back all our lands," meaning the entire state of Israel. "We don't want the Jews on this world," he said.

If you think that the above is merely an extreme example, think again. See Jihad Watch the Middle East Media Reseach Institute for more.

The latest statement by Al Queda #2, Ayman Zawahiri, eerily echoes Mrs. Sheehan's statements:

"Your salvation will only come in your withdrawal from our land, in stopping the robbing of our oil and resources."

See any similarity here between the statements of Mrs. Sheehan, would be boy mass murderer Mohammed and arch terror fiend Zawahiri?

It should be clear that the left, including Mrs. Sheehan, has aligned themselves with this nation's enemies. Like Jane Fonda in her day, they see the United States as the problem. Were they to succeed in forcing a U.S. pullout from the Middle East, the bloodbath wouldn't stop there. It's likely that more Americans will die as the left emboldens terrorists.

Mrs. Sheehan has made a mockery of her son's sacrifice and I have no sympathy left for her.

Two Americas: One of Hope and Honor and .....

Leading up to the last poll that mattered, failed Vice Presidential candidate John Edwards claimed there are "Two Americas." I couldn't agree more. But it's not the phony divisions of rich vs. poor, or black vs. white that Edwards tried to project.

Sorry, but the matter runs deeper than that. A full one third of the people living in this land at the time of the Revolutionary War were opposed to that war and prefered to remain subjects of Great Britain rather than fight. Their ideological heirs are alive today in the one third of Americans who undermine effective efforts in this war with their seething anger and hate.

The sad story of Cindy Sheehan, currently camping out near President Bush's ranch in Crawford, Texas makes the contrast all the more clear. The left wing freak show of those who claim to demonstrate support for her position, that the war in Iraq is "all about oil" stands in sharp contrast to the service and sacrifice of her son, and the many hundreds of America's sons and daughters who understand what we are fighting for and why we must win.

It's the silent sacrifice of so many that speaks clearly and with greater force than who would dishonor their service by exploiting their sacrifice and the grief of their family.

As Gateway Pundit passes along the story from the other America, or as I like to call it: "Mike's America." It's the story of another grieving family attending the funeral of a fallen soldier in Comfort, Texas. In Comfort, we see the other America in the townsfolk who lined the miles of the route to the cemetary holding their hands over their heart carrying American flags.

The crowd of people lining the street with their flags reminded me of another funeral little more than a year ago. When President Reagan was buried, a nation honored his memory in the same way the folks of Comfort, Texas did for a hero of their own.

Those who denounce the questioning of motives surrounding the groups using Mrs. Sheehan have been among the first to disparage the good and decent folk who pay their respects and honor the fallen as they did in Comfort, Texas. Gleeful comments about "flag wavers" come to mind.

Yep, there are two Americas. Which one do you want to live in?

A reminder in music is below. Please turn your computer sound on to hear.

The Latest Polls: BUSH WINS!

How many times in the last few weeks have we read some socialist's comment along the lines of "Seen those poll numbers lately?"

The last poll numbers I saw were on November 2, 2004. On that day, President Bush added significant blocks of votes from women, Jews, Blacks and Hispanics to guarantee his re-election.

He also added four more seats to his parties control of the U.S. Senate and seats in the House as well.

This after unprecedented gains that occured in the next most recent poll, the one in November 2002.

A clear and growing majority of the American people have witnessed nothing constructive, intellectually honest or positive coming from the leftwing freak show that the Democrat Party has become. This nation desperately needs a mature, rational debate on the life and death issues we face daily, yet the opposition has typecast themselves as Nancy Reagan Democrats who "just say no!"

Socialists and America haters may pin their hopes on November 7, 2006, but please spare us any more garbage about popularity polls. They're about as relevant as they were when you types said that President Bush's 90% approval was nothing to crow about.

Cindy Sheehan: Profit from Protest?

Right Wing News raises some interesting questions about the fundraising angles of the Cindy Sheehan story and asks if anyone might be making a profit from this franchise of Bush hate.

In researching my inital post on the subject I noticed the following letter in Mrs. Sheehan's hometown newspaper:

The Reporter: "Craftsmen did works of wonder" June 27, 2005

Thank you to all the craftsmen who worked with me on the Sheehan family home in memory of Army Spc. Casey Sheehan. I want to personally thank the electrician, painter, tile installer, floor and carpet installer, and plumber, and also those who provided the flooring, windows and cabinets. As far as I know, all volunteered labor and lots of material. Cindy Sheehan has been very busy and did not have time to thank you all. Gordy Calder, Vacaville
Do the fine folks of Vacaville provide similar service for all the families of the fallen? Perhaps a reader from Vacaville can enlighten us.

Will Mrs. Sheehan be reporting this gift of time and materials to improve the value of her home on her tax return next year?

I know that woe be unto any who dare question the motives or opinions of this woman. But frankly, if she feels compelled to exercise her rights to free speech and create a franchise by denigrating the sacrifice of her son, you can hardly expect those with a different opinion to remain silent.

Iraqi Responds to Cindy Sheehan

Mohammed at Iraq The Model posted a letter to Cindy Sheehan which is excerpted below. Perhaps Mrs. Sheehan should request a meeting with Mohammed and tell him why this is just a war for oil and how her son died for lies:

...[T]oday I was looking at your picture and I saw in your eyes a persistence, a great pain and a torturing question; why?
...
Your face doesn't look strange to me at all; I see it everyday on endless numbers of Iraqi women who were struck by losses like yours.

Our fellow country men and women were buried alive, cut to pieces and thrown in acid pools and some were fed to the wild dogs while those who were lucky enough ran away to live like strangers and the Iraqi mother was left to grieve one son buried in an unfound grave and another one living far away who she might not get to see again.
...
We cried out of joy the day your son and his comrades freed us from the hands of the devil and we went to the streets not believing that the nightmare is over.
We practiced our freedom first by kicking and burning the statues and portraits of the hateful idol who stole 35 years from the life of a nation.
For the first time air smelled that beautiful, that was the smell of freedom.

The mothers went to break the bars of cells looking for the ones they lost 5, 12 or 20 years ago and other women went to dig the land with their bare hand searching for a few bones they can hold in their arms after they couldn't hold them when they belonged to a living person.

I recall seeing a woman on TV two years ago, she was digging through the dirt with her hands. There was no definite grave in there as the whole place was one large grave but she seemed willing to dig the whole place looking for her two brothers who disappeared from earth 24 years ago when they were dragged from their colleges to a chamber of hell.

Her tears mixed with the dirt of the grave and there were journalists asking her about what her brothers did wrong and she was screaming "I don't know, I don't know. They were only college students. They didn't murder anyone, they didn't steal, and they didn't hurt anyone in their lives. All I want to know is the place of their grave".

Why was this woman chosen to lose her dear ones? Why you? Why did a million women have to go through the same pain?

We did not choose war for the sake of war itself and we didn't sacrifice a million lives for fun! We could've accepted our jailor and kept living in our chains for the rest of our lives but it's freedom ma'am.
Freedom is not an American thing and it's not an Iraqi thing, it's what unites us as human beings. We refuse all kinds of restrictions and that's why we fought and still fighting everyday in spite of the swords in the hands of the cavemen who want us dead or slaves for their evil masters.

You are free to go and leave us alone but what am I going to tell your million sisters in Iraq? Should I ask them to leave Iraq too? Should I leave too? And what about the eight millions who walked through bombs to practice their freedom and vote? Should they leave this land too?
Is it a cursed land that no one should live in? Why is it that we were chosen to live in all this pain, why me, why my people, why you?

But I am not leaving this land because the bad guys are not going to leave us or you to live in peace. They are the same ones who flew the planes to kill your people in New York.
I ask you in the name of God or whatever you believe in; do not waste your son's blood.
We here have decided to avenge humanity, you and all the women who lost their loved ones.
Take a look at our enemy Cindy, look closely at the hooded man holding the sword and if you think he's right then I will back off and support your call.
...
Your son sacrificed his life for a very noble cause…No, he sacrificed himself for the most precious value in this existence; that is freedom.

His blood didn't go in vain; your son and our brethren are drawing a great example of selflessness.
God bless his free soul and God bless the souls of his comrades who are fighting evil.
God bless the souls of Iraqis who suffered and died for the sake of freedom.
God bless all the freedom lovers on earth.

Nostalgia for the Good Old Days?

Seems I get quite a lot of mileage out of this photo. But as they say, a picture paints a thousand words and this one sums up the Clinton Administration better than most.

For those nostalgic for the good old days free from the threats of terror and war.. here's a walk down memory lane: Hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil and stuff your socks with classified docs. Pictured left to right: Defense Sec. Cohen, President Clinton, Sec. State Albright, Natl. Security Advisor Berger. Aren't you glad adults are in charge for another four years?

NY Post Columnist Echoes Mike's America On 911 Scandal

In my doctoral level seminar at Columbia University with former National Security Advisor, Zbigniew Brzezinski, I recall his first rule for analysis: "look first for the 'key factor', the central point that explains the matter under consideration."

On Wednesday, I reported the news that the U.S. military was prevented from passing along information to the FBI regarding the Al Queda cell which later hijacked one of our airliners, flying it into the World Trade Center and causing the deaths of thousands of innocent Americans.

I suggested then that this was likely the result of Clinton Administration policy, promulgated by Deputy Attorney General Gorelick, who later served on the September 11th Commission, that specifically prohibited information sharing between intelligence agencies and law enforcement. Later known as "the wall" it prevented government agencies from connecting the dots that might have prevented the atrocities.

Of course I got slammed by the Clinton apologist Bush haters who cannot understand why it is so important we learn who and what was ultimately responsible for the malfeasance that led to the worst foreign act of war on American soil (somehow to them it was all Condi Rice's fault). Never mind that if Kerry had been elected, or God forbid, Madame Hillary in 2008, the clones of Gorelick, Albright and Berger would take us right back to those happy days of blind ignorance, where government officials were more akin to the ostrich who sticks his head in the sand hoping the danger of terrorism will pass.

Two days later, Deborah Orin in the New York Post reports similar sentiments in the column below. Glad to see you on board Deb, and please feel free to echoe the further "key factor" here which helps us better understand why Democrats cannot be trusted with National Security in a time of war.

From Deborah Orin in the New York Post:

August 12, 2005 -- IT'S starting to look as if the 9/11 Commission turned a blind eye to key questions that could embarrass one of its own members -- Clinton-era Justice Department honcho Jamie Gorelick.

This week brought the stunning revelation that elite military spies pinpointed Mohammed Atta and three other hijackers as a terror cell more than a year before 9/11, but were barred from alerting lawmen to try to lock them up.

A prime reason why that warning never came is that Gorelick, as top deputy to then-Attorney General Janet Reno, issued a 1995 order creating a "wall" that blocked intelligence on terrorists from being shared with law enforcement.

Commission staffers at first denied knowing about the elite military unit known as Able Danger, but later admitted they were briefed -- twice -- and Atta was specifically named. Still, it was conveniently left out of the 9/11 report.

It gets worse. Gorelick's defenders might argue that hindsight is 20-20. But that excuse doesn't work in this case, because she was warned way back then, when the see-no-evil wall was created.

That warning came right from the front line in the War on Terror-- from Manhattan U.S. Attorney Mary Jo White, who headed up key terror probes like the prosecutions for the first World Trade Center bombing in 1993.

White, herself a Clinton appointee, wrote directly to Reno that the wall was a big mistake.

"It is hard to be totally comfortable with instructions to the FBI prohibiting contact with the United States Attorney's Offices when such prohibitions are not legally required," White wrote on June 13, 1995.

"The most effective way to combat terrorism is with as few labels and walls as possible so that wherever permissible, the right and left hands are communicating."

That memo surfaced during the 9/11 hearings. But The Post has learned that White was so upset that she bitterly protested with another memo, a scathing one, after Reno and Gorelick refused to tear down the wall.

With eerie foresight, White warned that the Reno-Gorelick wall hindered law enforcement and could cost lives, according to sources familiar with the memo -- which is still secret.

The 9/11 Commission got that White memo, The Post was told, but omitted any mention of it from its much-publicized report. Nor does the report include the transcript of its staff interview with White.

White yesterday declined comment via spokesman Marvin Smilon. The 9/11 Commission spokesman, Al Felzenberg, didn't respond to repeated phone calls.

At the time that the first White memo surfaced, it was a hypothetical question ? the wall could have prevented intelligence from getting through to stop 9/11 if there had been any intelligence.

But now that the 9/11 staff acknowledges there was intelligence about an Atta cell more than a year before the terror attacks, it's fair to ask if the attacks might have been stopped were it not for the Reno-Gorelick wall.

The CIA may have failed to detect the hijackers, but it appears that military intelligence did better. Maybe the real problem wasn't an intelligence failure, as the 9/11 Commission concluded, but, rather, the Reno-Gorelick wall.

The latest revelations show that skeptics like Sens. Jon Cornyn (R-Tex.) and Christopher Bond (R-Mo.) were right to demand that Gorelick testify publicly about the wall; a demand that the 9/11 Commission flatly rejected last year.

Rep. Curt Weldon (R-Pa.), who revealed how the Able Danger military spies tried to sound the alarm, yesterday accused the commission of ignoring inconvenient facts.

"The commission's refusal to investigate Able Danger after being notified of its existence, and its recent efforts to feign ignorance of the project while blaming others for supposedly withholding information on it, brings shame on the commissioners," he wrote.

Or, as a frustrated Cornyn said in 2004: "[Gorelick] is a person with knowledge of relevant facts. Either the commission wants the whole truth or it does not."

It's about time that the 9/11 Commission faced that question.

Ann Coulter on Jihad Johnny

I just love Ann Coulter. Especially since even mentioning her name to a socialist is like showing Dracula the cross (hmmm...socialist=Dracula? Well, they both DO suck the lifeblood out of everything don't they?)

Well she's done it again this week:

Consider the intriguing diary entries of British jihadist Zeeshan Siddique, reported in The New York Times this Monday (somewhat less prominently than the 4 billion front-page stories on Abu Ghraib). Siddique was captured last April in Pakistan by that country's security forces. His diary is a sort of Plan-a-Jihad journal, much like California seventh-graders were required to write in 2002. (There's also talk of publishing his diary under the title "Hello, Allah? It's Me, Siddique.")

In addition to heartwarming entries like the one on the pope's death ? "Allah will throw him in hell" ? a number of Siddique's diary entries suggest that it's not all sunshine and song for the Islamo-fascists these days. Day after day for six weeks, it was nothing but bad news for Siddique ? except for the good news about the pope's death, Saul Bellow's death and the Prince of Monaco's death, all of which cheered him considerably.

After visiting his fellow jihadists in early March, Siddique reports that he received "bad news" ? and something tells me it wasn't about Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston. He writes: "The relaxing place was done over" and "7-8 of the guys taken whilst asleep." He was told "guys need 2 make a move soon. Cant stik round."

A week later, he is informed by someone, probably not the Prince of Monaco, that "the situation is really bad" and he should "just sit tight & wait it out until things get a bit better." Oddly enough he is also a Mets fan, so this spring was an all-around bummer for Siddique.

A few weeks later, Siddique is vowing to make "an all out immense effort" to "rejoin my contingent." And then he was captured, too, along with his diary and phone numbers for other al-Qaida operatives and his co-religionists in Britain involved in the failed subway bombing. If you made a movie of this bumbling nincompoop's misadventures, you'd have to call it "Dude, Where's My Car Bomb?"

Siddique's diary entries refer to Iraq Prime Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari as "the dog of the hell fire" and Pakistan's president, Gen. Pervez Musharraf, as "Satan." That's not the talk of a winner! Siddique's future as a jihadist may be fading, but he has a good shot at writing speeches for Howard Dean. (He also describes Maya Angelou as "America's national treasure," so I guess some things are universal.)

Meanwhile, every time Americans get a gander at these lunatics ranting about the "Great Satan" and the "Zionist entity," we can't believe we're at war with such a comical enemy. No wonder they dream of an afterlife with 72 hot teenage girls. These guys are klutzes. Nerds. Dweebs. In the Las Vegas of life they're at the convention center with the other "Star Trek" fans. Even in Pakistan, Siddique says he is "constantly laughed at & ridiculed."

Ahmed can't get a date, and now the rest of us have to suffer.

But you will notice, the jihadists are not pouring across the Syrian border to, say, Brooklyn Heights. They are running to Iraq, where they run smack dab into the glorious U.S. military.

This week, we've also learned that Hollywood is planning a spate of anti-American movies to show their support for terrorists. Perhaps they should get ahold of this guy's diary and do as Ann suggests and film "Dude, Where's My Car Bomb?"

Family of Fallen Soldier Pleads: "Please Stop, Cindy"

DRUDGE REPORT: "FAMILY OF FALLEN SOLDIER PLEADS: PLEASE STOP, CINDY!
Thu Aug 11 2005 12:56:21 ET

The family of American soldier Casey Sheehan, who was killed in Iraq on April 4, 2004, has broken its silence and spoken out against his mother Cindy Sheehan's anti-war vigil against George Bush held outside the president's Crawford, Texas ranch.

The following email was received by the DRUDGE REPORT from Cherie Quarterolo, Casey's aunt and godmother:

"Our family has been so distressed by the recent activities of Cindy we are breaking our silence and we have collectively written a statement for release. Feel free to distribute it as you wish." Thanks, Cherie

In response to questions regarding the Cindy Sheehan/Crawford Texas issue:

Sheehan Family Statement:

The Sheehan Family lost our beloved Casey in the Iraq War and we have been silently, respectfully grieving. We do not agree with the political motivations and publicity tactics of Cindy Sheehan. She now appears to be promoting her own personal agenda and notoriety at the the expense of her son's good name and reputation. The rest of the Sheehan Family supports the troops, our country, and our President, silently, with prayer and respect.

Sincerely,

Casey Sheehan's grandparents, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.

Govt Agency Identified Sept 11 Attackers Over a Year Before, Hands Tied by You Know Who

In a speech on the floor of the House of Representatives in June, Congressman Curt Weldon (R-PA) disclosed the existence of a heretofore secret military unit called "Able Danger" which was tasked with collecting and analyzing information on terrorists using data mining technology. If you asked, who was connecting the dots before September 11th it was these folks.

In late 1999 or early 2000, this unit identified a terrorist cell based in Brooklyn, NY, one of whose members was 9/11 ringleader Mohammed Atta, and recommended to their military superiors that the FBI be called in to "take out that cell," (from news report in Government Security News).

A government lawyer in the Department of Defense refused permission for the information to be passed to the FBI. No more dots were connected, and an opportunity to prevent September 11th was missed.

WHY?

Clinton Administration "Wall" Prevents Agency Information Sharing

In dramatic testimony before the September 11 Commission, Attorney General Ashcroft stated:

The single greatest structural cause for September 11 was the wall that segregated criminal investigators and intelligence agents. Government erected this wall. Government buttressed this wall. And before September 11, government was blinded by this wall.

In 1995, the Justice Department embraced flawed legal reasoning, imposing a series of restrictions on the FBI that went beyond what the law required. The 1995 Guidelines and the procedures developed around them imposed draconian barriers to communications between the law enforcement and intelligence communities. The wall "effectively excluded" prosecutors from intelligence investigations. The wall left intelligence agents afraid to talk with criminal prosecutors or agents. In 1995, the Justice Department designed a system destined to fail.

In the days before September 11, the wall specifically impeded the investigation into Zacarias Moussaoui, Khalid al-Midhar and Nawaf al-Hazmi. After the FBI arrested Moussaoui, agents became suspicious of his interest in commercial aircraft and sought approval for a criminal warrant to search his computer. The warrant was rejected because FBI officials feared breaching the wall.
When the CIA finally told the FBI that al-Midhar and al-Hazmi were in the country in late August, agents

in New York searched for the suspects. But because of the wall, FBI Headquarters refused to allow criminal investigators who knew the most about the most recent al Qaeda attack to join the hunt for the suspected terrorists.

At that time, a frustrated FBI investigator wrote Headquarters, quote, "Whatever has happened to this -- someday someone will die -- and wall or not -- the public will not understand why we were not more effective and throwing every resource we had at certain 'problems'. Let's hope the National Security Law Unit will stand behind their decision then, especially since
the biggest threat to us, UBL [bin Laden], is getting the most protection."

The "wall" was a set of guidelines introduced by Jamie Gorelick, Assistant Attorney General in the Clinton Administration, former counsel at the Department of Defense and a member of the September 11th Commission. In addition to previously legislated guidelines Ms. Gorelick instructed the chief prosecuter in New York, Mary Jo White, who was investigating terrorism, that:

[W]e believe that it is prudent to establish a set of instructions that will clearly separate the counterintelligence investigation from the more limited, but continued, criminal investigations. These procedures, which go beyond what is legally required.

New York Times Reports Story, But Who Was President?

Reaction to this story is falling into predictable patterns with the usual suspects implying that President Bush hasn't been very effective in the war on terror. "Where's bin Laden" they parrot over and over. But trying to suggest that Bush's response to terrorism is as inept as Clinton's is delusional in the extreme. Who was it that tore down the wall that the Clinton Administration built that prevented us from connecting the dots before September 11th and finding bin Laden?

In reporting the Weldon revelations, the New York Times failed to identify, even once, the administration in power at the time. Can you imagine the scream headline if this occured under Bush's watch?

Imagine how much more effective we would be in our efforts to prevent another September 11th if the left could leave behind their defense of the indefensible and unite behind a common goal of victory in the war?

More Good Stuff from People's Cube

All good stuff from the People's Cube:

A new civil rights group is fighting a shameful practice: bag searches in the New York City subways that are infringing on the rights of suicide bombers to kill and maim hundreds of New Yorkers. The group that calls itself Jihadists Against Bag Searches distributed flyers today to straphangers (image, left), warning them of the erosion of civil liberties in America.

Dressed in oversized trench coats and carrying heavy backpacks, the group members asked the New Yorkers a simple yet disarming question: "Is this the country you really want to live in, if it profiles a minorit that has blown up cars, buildings, buses, trains, and airplanes in the past?"
"They're right," a concerned young lawyer told our correspondent." With so many people entering the subway, how can we be sure that the searches are absolutely random? There's a big chance it's all a cover-up for profiling minorities. If the police succeeds in preventing them from blowing me up on the train, it will be the end of my civil liberties. I better send another big check to ACLU - that is, if I don't wind up with both of my arms torn off in a blast."

"We are not yet a Muslim nation, so aggressive police behavior won't yield world sympathy," said a female middle-aged financial analyst as she nervously packed her bag after being searched." As a Western power that places reason above emotions, we need to suffer more in order to have the world like us again - and for that I am willing to meet a horrible end with a dozen rusty bolts sticking out of my forehead."

Jihadists Against Bag Searches were accompanied by ACLU observers to ensure that they are not harassed by the police or right-wing extremists. One such accident was recorded at a subway stop next to the former World Trade Center site, in which a rambling right-winger allegedly whispered, "Islamofascists had better not act up too much, or else our Hollywood will come out with more crappy movies about the menace of neo-Nazis, Christian Crusaders and the Mossad." The man has been arrested and faces charges of hate speech, harassment, and an attempt to provoke an international conflict. ACLU dispatched their best lawyers to this case and will monitor it to make sure that the perpetrator receives maximum punishment possible under the circumstances.

Kill All Non-Believers

Thanks to the Further Adventures of Indigo Red, I found the London Times account of secret tape recordings from Islamic centers in England.

Before you say "it can't happen here" it already is. I've posted the study from Freedom House on numerous occasions. Earlier this week in a post "To Win This War, First: Know Your Enemy" I provided you the video of the New York Muslims claiming that their goal was for Islam to "dominate all other religions. To dominate the United States, to dominate the world!"

Can you say "SEIG HEIL" after that? Oh no... sorry... I meant "ALLAH AKBAR!"

Further Adventures of Indigo Red: Killing + Lying = Holy Duty:

"For two months, a reporter for the British newspaper, Sunday Times, worked undercover recording radical Islamic leaders and their followers in secret meetings. The leaders were inciting the young Muslims in Britain to violence and hatred of the kuffar (non-believers) and to carry out terrorist attacks against the kuffar. They were recorded praising the Tube bombers as 'the fantastic four.'

Sheikh Omar Brooks, told an audience that included children that it was alright to kill the kuffar; it is the duty of Muslims to be terrorists. The followers were encouraged to carry out suicide attacks. Zachariah, another key player, justified the deaths of the 52 people killed in the London attacks July 7 saying they did not abide by strict Islamic laws.

Speaking to a group of teens and families, Omar Brooks said it was a Muslim imperative to instill terror into the hearts of the kuffar and added: I am a terrorist. As a Muslim, of course, I am a terrorist. "

Left Using Dead Soldier's Mother for Political Power Play

How many times have we been lectured by the left that referring to September 11th in ANY WAY is somehow "exploiting the tragedy for political purposes?"

That's a laugh of course! When September 11th is mentioned it is almost always in the context of the national tragedy which we all lived through collectively, and one we wish to prevent in future.

But of course, what we have here is just another example of how lefties demand that we be held to a higher standard than they themselves would uphold.

The Drudge Report today has a story on the mother of slain soldier Army Spc. Casey Sheehan who died in Iraq in April 2004. Along with other families who have suffered losses in this war to free all of us from the threat of Islamo-fascism, Mrs. Sheehan and family members met with President Bush in Seattle in June 2004. It was a "gift of happiness" she said after meeting the President.

"'I now know he's sincere about wanting freedom for the Iraqis,' Cindy said after their meeting. 'I know he's sorry and feels some pain for our loss. And I know he's a man of faith.'

"The meeting didn't last long, but in their time with Bush, Cindy spoke about Casey and asked the president to make her son's sacrifice count for something. They also spoke of their faith.

"The trip had one benefit that none of the Sheehans expected.

"For a moment, life returned to the way it was before Casey died. They laughed, joked and bickered playfully as they briefly toured Seattle.

For the first time in 11 weeks, they felt whole again.

"'That was the gift the president gave us, the gift of happiness, of being together,' Cindy said."

Well apparently, Mrs. Sheehan's views have changed. She is now camped out on the road near the President's ranch in Crawford, Texas demanding another meeting. Giving interviews to the media she now gives quite another view of that June 2004 meeting:

"He wouldn't look at the pictures of Casey. He didn't even know Casey's name. He came in the room and the very first thing he said is, 'So who are we honoring here?' He didn't even know Casey's name. He didn't want to hear it. He didn't want to hear anything about Casey. He wouldn't even call him 'him' or 'he.' He called him 'your loved one.'
...
Every time we tried to talk about Casey and how much we missed him, he would change the subject. And he acted like it was a party.
...
Yes, he came in very jovial, and like we should be happy that he, our son, died for his misguided policies.
This transformation from a greiving mother, appreciative that the President would honor their son's memory and console their family to ardent political opponent won't surprise anyone in Sheehan's hometown of Vacaville, California. A few weeks after meeting with President Bush, Mrs. Sheehan recorded a commercial for Real Voices.Org entitled "A Mother's Tears" where she sobs about how unfair it was that her son had to die in this war. She openly criticizes President Bush and tearfully asks "How do you think we felt when we heard the Senate report that there was no link between Iraq and 9-11?"

Never mind Mrs. Sheehan that there is plenty of evidence, enough to convince both Senate Democrats and the Democrats on the September 11th Commission, to conclude that Iraq had extensive links with Osama bin Laden and al Queda. (Read this blog if you are clueless on that one.)

Mrs. Sheehan's tearful advertisement came out weeks before the Presidential election of 2004. But Mrs. Sheehan has gone on from that initial foray and created what amounts to a political franchise of Bush bashing. Her local paper, The Reporter, has a series of letters (abstracts here) from town folk documenting her calls for Bush's resignation or impeachment. Sympathizers in town have even gone so far as to contribute materials and labor to remodel the family home. Any questioning of Mrs. Sheehan's political motives is viewed as an attack on Mrs. Sheehan's right to "free speech."

Frankly, this is a sad story from beginning to end. We have a fallen solider who volunteered for service in the Army and who served honorably. A greiving family has a right, as does anyone, to express their views on the war and the President. But for the left to so crassly manipulate and use Mrs. Sheehan, in a way that is so evidently transparent is sadder still. The conflicts in the Mother's original description of her meeting with the President and how she recounts it now raise additional questions of veracity.

Look Into The Man's Eyes and Tell Me What You See

Here's a contrast for you: Meetings with family members who have died in the service of their country are kept private by the White House. But in a campaign appearance in Lebanon, Ohio, the press witnessed a moment that was not reported widely at the time, few but the Cincinnatti Enquirer picked it up:

In a moment largely unnoticed by the throngs of people in Lebanon, Ohio waiting for autographs from the president of the United States, George W. Bush stopped to hold a teenager's head close to his heart.

Lynn Faulkner, his daughter, Ashley, and their neighbor, Linda Prince, eagerly waited to shake the president's hand Tuesday at the Golden Lamb Inn. He worked the line at a steady campaign pace, smiling, nodding and signing autographs until Prince spoke:

"This girl lost her mom in the World Trade Center on 9-11."

Bush stopped and turned back.

"He changed from being the leader of the free world to being a father, a husband and a man," Faulkner said. "He looked right at her and said, 'How are you doing?' He reached out with his hand and pulled her into his chest."

Faulkner snapped one frame with his camera.

"I could hear her say, 'I'm OK,' " he said. "That's more emotion than she has shown in 21/2 years. Then he said, 'I can see you have a father who loves you very much.' "
"And I said, 'I do, Mr. President, but I miss her mother every day.' It was a special moment."

Special for Lynn Faulkner because the Golden Lamb was the place he and his wife, Wendy Faulkner, celebrated their anniversary every year until she died in the south tower of the World Trade Center, where she had traveled for business.

The day was also special for Ashley, a 15-year-old Mason High School student, because the visit was reminiscent of a trip she took four years ago with her mother and Prince. They spent all afternoon in the rain waiting to see Bush on the campaign trail. Ashley remembers holding her mother's hand, eating Triscuits she packed and bringing along a book in case she got bored.

But this time was different. She understood what the president was saying, and she got close enough to see him face to face.

"The way he was holding me, with my head against his chest, it felt like he was trying to protect me," Ashley said. "I thought, 'Here is the most powerful guy in the world, and he wants to make sure I'm safe.' I definitely had a couple of tears in my eyes, which is pretty unusual for me."

Is this the man that treats the sacrifice of American lives as a "Party?" When will the left stop their gratutious personal attacks on President Bush and join their fellow Americans in FIGHTING and WINNING this war? When will they stop undermining the sacrifices of thefew for the many and support a more unified, effective approach in this war?
