Clintons Upset that Weiner Comparison Tarnishes Latest Clinton Whitewash Attempt

But actually, what Bill Clinton did was far worse than Anthony Weiner and Hillary knows it!

The Clinton's are in makeover mode as they prepare for the early stages of Hillary run for President in 2016. The glowing stories about Hillary's record as Secretary of State (which totally whitewash her negligence in the Benghazi attack and State Dept. corruption) are just the first propaganda shot in the bid to boost Hillary. NBC is also getting into the act with a four part mini series featuring Hillary. The series will focus on Hillary's role as Senator and Secretary of State and conveniently not begin chronicling her career until after the period in which she faced multiple White House and Little Rock scandals. There won't be any Little Rock scandal tour as Mike's America documented with an in person visit in 2007.

With all this Whitewater Whitewash going on the last thing Hillary's propaganda team needed was a reminder about Bill Clinton's womanizing past. But with the Anthony Weiner scandal in the news again the comparison is being made. It's all the more relevant when you consider that Weiner's wife Huma was Hillary Clinton's personal aide during her time as Secretary of State and Bill Clinton presided over the marriage of the couple.

According to a report in the New York Post what's really ticked off the Clinton's is an attempt by the Weiner's to say that their problems are similar and should be viewed as such.  All that does is dredge up the dirt Hillary wants buried.

And on that score, the following video comparison of statements by Bill Clinton and Anthony Weiner. Cue the player to the 48 second mark if you want to skip Sean Hannity's introduction:

Of course there are many, including some Democrats like Bill Maher, who say that what Bill Clinton did was far worse. There's no blue dress or lying to a grand jury in the Weiner scandal.

No doubt the Clintons, aided by their media allies, will overcome this reminder about the sleazy underside of life with Bill and Hillary. But the story doesn't help the Democrats as others like it showing elected Democrat officials treating women badly continue to percolate. War on women anyone?

Phony Scandals or a Phony President?

The Only Thing "Phony" About Obama's Scandals Are the Stories He Tells About Them!

In Obama's latest campaign swing (someone please tell him the election was last November) he makes repeated references to "phony scandals" that have kept Washington (by which he means House Republicans) from giving in to his demands for more spending and higher taxes.

The remark has touched a raw nerve with those who are still waiting for answers to the growing number of scandals which have revealed the corruption and incompetence of the Obama Administration. It's now a worn out cliché to remind readers that if anything like Fast and Furious. Solyndra, IRS, Benghazi and the rest happened during a Republican Administration we would already have Special Prosecutors galore and Democrats filing impeachment charges. The news media that put the Valerie Plame "Leakgate" story during the Bush years at the top of the news for years. And who can forget when Republican senate candidate George Allen of Virginia referred to a Democrat aide as "macaca" only to have the Washington Post put critical stories with that word on their front page 12 times and run 40 other stories and editorials.

In thinking about Obama's latest insult to the truth I came across a column by Michael Graham in the Boston Herald which captured my thoughts exactly:
“Phony”? What’s phony about the fact that the IRS targeted citizens based on their ideology? That the discussion of this targeting went all the way up to the president’s hand-picked IRS chief counsel William Wilkins? That Wilkins met with Obama in April 2012 just two days before “new guidance” on how to handle Tea Party applications was sent from Washington to IRS operatives?

Imagine cub reporter Barack “WoodStein” Obama being told by his Washington Post editors in 1972 that the Nixon administration using the IRS to target its enemies was a “phony scandal.” Would he have agreed?

“Phony”? What’s phony about the family members of a Fox News reporter being spied on by the Department of Justice? About Attorney General Eric Holder lying about his knowledge of “potential prosecution” of the media by his department?

And then there’s Ben-ghazi. Almost a year later, we still don’t know where the president was when the terrorist attack started, whether the military was ordered to leave Glen Doherty to die, or why the White House continued to push the phony story of a video weeks after it knew it was a terror attack and not a movie protest.

Four dead Americans at a consulate the Obama administration knew was being targeted but left unprotected. On 9/11. With an ambassador in it. If that’s a “phony scandal,” how many dead Americans does it take to make a real one?

On the other hand, Obama has a point. All the talk about Benghazi and the IRS has taken attention away from another scandal — his horrible handling of the economy.

We’re in year four of the worst “recovery” since World War II. How awful is it?
Or to put Graham's final point another way, Obama gives a speech about phony scandals when the real scandal is his phony economic recovery!

Where's Obama's Outrage over IRS

One of the worst "phony scandals" is the IRS targeting of conservative groups. When the news first broke Obama went to the microphones on May 15 and said that the IRS conduct was:
Inexcusable, and Americans are right to be angry about it, and I am angry about it. I will not tolerate this kind of behavior in any agency, but especially in the IRS, given the power that it has and the reach that it has into all of our lives. And as I said earlier, it should not matter what political stripe you’re from -- the fact of the matter is, is that the IRS has to operate with absolute integrity. The government generally has to conduct itself in a way that is true to the public trust. That’s especially true for the IRS.
...
I’ll do everything in my power to make sure nothing like this happens again by holding the responsible parties accountable, by putting in place new checks and new safeguards, and going forward, by making sure that the law is applied as it should be -- in a fair and impartial way. And we’re going to have to make sure that the laws are clear so that we can have confidence that they are enforced in a fair and impartial way, and that there’s not too much ambiguity surrounding these laws.

So that's what I expect. That's what the American people deserve. And that's what we’re going to do.
In the weeks following that strong statement Democrats have tried to push the line that this was nothing but a rogue operation by government employees in Cincinnati, with no tie to the Obama Administration. Yet recent testimony before a congressional committee investigating the matter finds that trail leads directly to the office headed by an Obama political appointee who just happened to visit the White House days before some of the rules targeting Tea Party groups was released. Too soon to say what the exact train of events was but certainly the matter is no where near resolved to the degree Obama himself demanded in that May 15th statement.

There are still so many unanswered questions about the who, what, why of the IRS scandal and same with Benghazi. Listen to the mother of Sean Smith, who died in Benghazi on the night of September 11, 2012, as she reacts to the idea that this is a phony scandal:

Then there's the video footage of Glen Doherty, one of the heroes in Benghazi who died trying to save others. It shows him full of life and humor. Doesn't his family, along with the others who were killed, have the right to know what happened and why?

The Obama pattern in all this is clear. Never take responsibility. Always try and change the subject or blame others. And know that the media that would jump all over any Republican if he or she did the same will go along with the coverup! It's corruption to the core!

More Hot Air w/ No Leadership from Obama Speech on the Economy

Is this man so out of touch with reality that he thinks what America needs is ANOTHER speech?

Cuba's Fidel Castro used to speak for four hours at a time. The worse Cuba's economy performed the longer Fidel talked. Obama, always a fan of revolutionary chic must be following this model. He's now traveling the country in what is billed as yet another "campaign style" series of speeches on the economy and the usual time per speech is averaging an hour or more.

ABC News, in reporting this latest effort headlined the story as "Obama pivots to the economy...again." MSNBC's Chuck Todd termed this "Deja pivot" and one analyst counts this as pivot #19.  You'd think with all that practice Obama might actually figure out that what's needed is not another speech, but some actual presidential leadership. But no....

Like so many other Obama speeches, this latest gab fest is recycled rhetoric. You might call it Obama's favorite hits. It's the same speech on a different day. News media reviews are not good:
  • “White House Officials Said The Three Speeches Will Not Offer New Proposals Or Approaches.” The Washington Post, 7/21/13
  • The Speeches Will Simply “Repackage” Obama’s Old Ideas. The New York Times, 7/22/13
  • “Senior Administration Officials On Monday Conceded That The President Was Partly To Blame For The Washington Conversation Veering Away From The Economic Issues That Many Americans Believe Are The Most Important.”The New York Times, 7/22/13
In this speech he claimed credit for the few good economic signs and then went on to blame the Republicans for all the problems that remain. It's another round of blame the GOP and tar political opponents at the same time demanding they compromise with him.

Here's a sample:
OBAMA: When middle-class families have less to spend, guess what, businesses have fewer consumers. When wealth concentrates at the very top, it can inflate unstable bubbles that threaten the economy. When the rungs on the ladder of opportunity grow farther and farther apart, it undermines the very essence of America -- that idea that if you work hard you can make it here.

And that’s why reversing these trends has to be Washington’s highest priority. (Applause.) It has to be Washington's highest priority. (Applause.) It’s certainly my highest priority. (Applause.)

Unfortunately, over the past couple of years, in particular, Washington hasn’t just ignored this problem; too often, Washington has made things worse.
...
But with this endless parade of distractions and political posturing and phony scandals, Washington has taken its eye off the ball. And I am here to say this needs to stop. (Applause.) This needs to stop.

This moment does not require short-term thinking. It does not require having the same old stale debates. Our focus has to be on the basic economic issues that matter most to you, the people we represent. That’s what we have to spend our time on and our energy on and our focus on.
"Phony scandals"? Tell that to the families of the four Americans murdered in Benghazi, Libya last fall. We still don't know what really happened and why. And is the IRS scandal "phony" too? When the scandal first broke Obama was first in line expressing his anger and outrage and pledged to work "hand in hand with Congress" to get to the bottom of it. Now that the origin of the scandal may trace back to the White House all of a sudden it's no big deal?

What's really galling about Obama's speech was his demand that making things better for the middle class  was "Washington's highest priority.  It’s certainly my highest priority." When all he's put in place are job killing policies and regulation that kill jobs (ObamaCare, opposition to Keystone Pipeline) and other policies which favor his rich Wall Street contributors.

A few paragraphs later Obama admits that his focus hasn't always been, nor will it be, on the middle class:
We’ll keep pressing on other key priorities. I want to get this immigration bill done. We still need to work on reducing gun violence. (Applause.) We’ve got to continue to end the war in Afghanistan, rebalance our fight against al Qaeda. (Applause.) We need to combat climate change. We’ve got to standing up for civil rights. We’ve got to stand up for women’s rights.
If Obama was really serious about focusing most on the economic issues that matter to the "people we represent" he would agree to a full suspension of ObamaCare and drop the laundry list of liberal goodies outlined in the paragraph above that only serve to divide the nation.

More than anything else, if Obama were really serious about getting something done by working with the Republicans he's stop using them as campaign fodder and stay in Washington and actually do the job to which he was elected. But even on those RARE events when he does meet with Republicans, he can't seem to shake off campaign mode long enough to actually lead let alone govern.

We're stuck with a President who only knows how to attack and campaign. The harder qualities of leadership and true compromise evade him and his followers. That bodes ill for most Americans but especially the middle class who have been hardest hit by Obama's liberal policies. Whether it's higher energy prices because Obama favors green energy, higher health costs, fewer jobs and cutbacks in hours because of ObamaCare the middle class is paying the biggest price for Obama's re-election!

The last thing a struggling middle class needed was another long winded speech from the man who has done so much to put them in their current bind!

Obama Speech Whitewashes Real Threat to Black Community

But he did redirect attention away from his scandal plagued Administration!
“Do you know that Negroes are 10 percent of the population of St. Louis and are responsible for 58 percent of its crimes?” he told a congregation. “We’ve got to face that. And we’ve got to do something about our moral standards....We know that there are many things wrong in the white world, but there are many things wrong in the black world, too. We can’t keep on blaming the white man. There are things we must do for ourselves.”-- Martin Luther King. 1961
The number one story the past few weeks was the murder trial of George Zimmerman. Stories that have a direct impact on the lives of all Americans like the implosion of ObamaCare and unemployment took a convenient back seat to a trial imbued with racial overtones despite the lack of ANY credible evidence or testimony that race had anything to do with it. Also, we weren't talking about the IRS scandal despite testimony linking the targeting of Tea Party groups directly to the White House and a top political appointee at the IRS.

No, the phony racist angle of the Zimmerman trial was a convenient diversion for Obama which may explain why when the narrative was about to ebb Obama stepped in to stoke the fire with a rare off the cuff speech in the White House. As usual, it was mostly about him. Here are a few excerpts:
OBAMA:You know, when Trayvon Martin was first shot I said that this could have been my son. Another way of saying that is Trayvon Martin could have been me 35 years ago. And when you think about why, in the African American community at least, there’s a lot of pain around what happened here, I think it’s important to recognize that the African American community is looking at this issue through a set of experiences and a history that doesn’t go away.

There are very few African American men in this country who haven't had the experience of being followed when they were shopping in a department store. That includes me. There are very few African American men who haven't had the experience of walking across the street and hearing the locks click on the doors of cars. That happens to me -- at least before I was a senator. There are very few African Americans who haven't had the experience of getting on an elevator and a woman clutching her purse nervously and holding her breath until she had a chance to get off. That happens often.
Obama acknowledged that young black men are "disproportionately both victims and perpetrators of violence," which goes some way to explain why they might be the focus of fear. But he then tries to blame black violence on whites by saying:
Some of the violence that takes place in poor black neighborhoods around the country is born out of a very violent past in this country, and that the poverty and dysfunction that we see in those communities can be traced to a very difficult history.
The epidemic of violence among young black men is a recent phenomenon more directly related to problems in the black community than "a very difficult history."

In a superb must see commentary, Bill O'Reilly address the problems in the black community that Obama ignored:

O'REILLY: “You want a better situation for blacks? Give them a chance to revive their neighborhoods and culture. Work with the good people to stop the bad people. […] You can’t legislate good parenting or responsible entertainment. But you can fight against the madness with discipline, a firm message and little tolerance for excuse making. It is now time for the African American leadership, including President Obama, to stop the nonsense. Walk away from the world of victimization and grievance and lead the way out of this mess.”

He said that “race hustlers” have intimidated the conversation, “turning any valid criticism of African American culture into charges of racial bias. […] You want racism? That’s racism.”

O’Reilly surmised that young black men raised without structure reject education and gravitate toward drugs, hustling and gangs. “The reason there is so much violence and chaos in the black precincts is the disintegration of the African American family. […] When was the last time you saw a public service ad telling young black girls to avoid becoming pregnant? […] White people don’t force black people to have babies out of wedlock.”

The Factor host called out the entertainment industry for glorifying a “gansta” culture to impressionable children. “Hey, listen up you greed-heads. If a kid can’t speak proper English, uses the f-word in every sentence, […] is disrespectful in his or her mouth, that child will never, never be able to compete in the marketplace of America. […] And it had nothing to do with slavery. It has everything to do with you Hollywood people and you derelict parents. You’re the ones hurting these vulnerable children.”

He blamed narcotics for destroying the city of Detroit, which just filed for bankruptcy last week. “What do the race hustlers and limousine liberals yell about? The number of black men in prison for selling drugs. ‘Oh, it’s so unfair. It’s a non-violent crime and blacks are targeted.’ That is one of the biggest lies in the history of this country. The thugs who sell hard drugs, no matter what color they are, deserve to be put away for long periods of time. […] They are scum!”

“When was the last time you heard the Congressional Black Caucus say that?” O’Reilly asked. “How about Jackson and Sharpton? How about President Obama?”
Black columnist Crystal Wright agrees. Writing in the Washington Times:
Nearly 50 years after the Civil Rights Act was signed into law, the inconvenient truth is that blacks are causing 90 percent of their own problems, need to take responsibility for their own actions and start participating in the equality Martin Luther King and others died for.
Rev. Jesse Jackson, race hustler in chief, once said:
"There is nothing more painful to me ... than to walk down the street and hear footsteps and start thinking about robbery, then look around and see somebody white and feel relieved."
Victor Davis Hanson, in rejecting the "mytho history" that Obama and Holder are passing off reminds readers of another "Trayvon" story that won't make national news. Two black men, one wearing a hoodie entered a Santa Rosa, California jewelry store and robbed the store using a shotgun. Names of the two? Traveon Banks-Austin and Alexander Tyvon Brandon. Does Obama want to identify with them? Do they look like his son if he had one?

The death of Trayvon Martin may serve as a convenient distraction for Obama. His allies, race profiteers like Sharpton and Jackson will profit from the tragedy. But the larger tragedy is a black community trapped by the consequences of failed liberal government unable to address the real problems. Hence the sideshow!

George Zimmerman Rescues Family of Four After Car Crash

On word on the race of the family but give the race profiteers time to make something ugly out of this!
USA Today: George Zimmerman, the man whose acquittal on murder and manslaughter charges in the fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin set off a wave of protests across the nation, helped rescue a family from an overturned SUV four days after the verdict, the Seminole County Sheriff's Office said in a statement Monday.

The statement said that on Wednesday, at approximately 5:45 p.m. ET, the sheriff's office responded to a single car accident at an intersection in the Sanford, Fla., area not far from where Zimmerman, 29, shot Trayvon, 17, in February 2012. The statement said a blue Ford Explorer had run off the road and rolled over with a family of four inside.

When a deputy arrived at the scene, two men had already helped the family out of the SUV. One of the men was Zimmerman, a former neighborhood watch coordinator in Sanford.
Not like it's a contest but did Trayvon Martin ever do anything but take drugs and get into trouble? Maybe Obama should put out a statement thanking Zimmerman instead of fanning the flames of racism!

UPDATE: What if Zimmerman had not acted?

The Daily Caller has more details on the Zimmerman rescue. Apparently Zimmerman was on hand with a fire extinguisher fearing the vehicle would burst into flames. Zimmerman was criticized for not staying in his vehicle and minding his own business the night Trayvon was killed. But where those libs when this family needed help?

It's a BOY!

Prince of Cambridge is the newest member of Britain's best running soap opera!

Secretly, I was hoping for a girl, but a boy means we get more stories about youthful indiscretions such as those which made Prince Harry such a lovable rogue.

For those who complain that the British royal family is hugely expensive, I would only point out that upkeep for Queen Michelle and King Barack in the U.S. cost more than all the royal families of Europe COMBINED! And English Kings and Queens are not half as arrogant and patronizing as America's self anointed!

And I certainly find the Windsor saga more entertaining and less damaging to our culture, traditions and prosperity than King Barack!

Liz Cheney to Take on GOP Senate Incumbent in Wyoming

Another strong candidate enters the field of  female GOP contenders!

Take that Democrats and your GOP "war on women" b.s. ! Liz Cheney, daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney and an outspoken defender of conservative values and strong national defense in her own right, has thrown her hat in the ring for 2014.

She'll be taking on 3 term incumbent, 69 year old Sen. Mike Enzi. Cheney, 46, promises to bring a fresh new energy to the Senate if elected and would join four other GOP women Senators. Cheney's election would mark a trend that sees increasing numbers of female GOP elected officials.

Below is Cheney's announcement:

The campaign will be an uphill battle for Liz. Sen. Enzi isn't a RINO. He has a 93% rating from the American Conservative Union and is very popular in Wyoming. Early polls show the incumbent with a wide lead over Cheney.

If there is any criticism of Enzi it is that is perhaps too comfortable with a Senate dominated by Harry Reid (D-NV) one of the most partisan, divisive Senate leaders in my lifetime.

Those who wish to contribute to Liz's campaign may do so by clicking here.

Royal Baby Watch: Just a Matter of Time

Boy, girl or don't you care?

Multiple reports that the due date for the birth the first child to William and Kate, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, has come and gone may have been incorrect. The Daily Mail has a new account, along with all the associated royal baby news, suggesting that the actual due date is this weekend.

For those with an interest in English history and the Royal Family it's a big moment. For the rest of you, not so much.

Any thoughts? Boy? Girl? Care less?

Star Prosecution in Zimmerman Trial Admits Trayvon Intended to "Whoop azz" White Cracker

And across the country racial attacks on whites continue in the wake of Zimmerman not guilty verdict!

Well now the cat is really out of the bag. There was not one shred of evidence at the trial of George Zimmerman to suggest he started the altercation that led to Trayvon Martin's death. In fact, the evidence suggests that it was Trayvon who went after Martin. Why? Well, his friend and prosecution star witness Rachel Jeantel tells the story in a CNN interview:

Rachel Jeantell: "They don't understand, they understand, 'Oh, he would just bash, or was kill.' When somebody bash somebody, like, blood people, trust me, in the area I live, that's not bashing. That's just called 'whoop ass.' You just got your ass whooped."
The remark about "blood people" is a reference to a black gang called the Bloods. And gangsta/thug behavior was nothing new to Trayvon Martin (1,2,3). Rachel is confirming the already clear evidence that Trayvon was the aggressor and would have been behaving in a way that many people confronted in a similar situation might find life threatening.

Black Attacks on Whites Increase

The race profiteers have really earned their pay this week. In the wake of verdict in the George Zimmerman trial revenge attacks on whites and Hispanics by blacks is increasing. The more violence and discord the better to raise funds for the benefit of so-called civil rights leaders using this tragedy to line their pockets!

Left Wing Race Profiteers in Overdrive Following Zimmerman Not Guity Verdict

Never let a crisis go to waste. Especially when you can make a few bucks off of it!

Booker T. Washington, one of the most accomplished black leaders of the late 19th and early 20th century noticed this trend more than a hundred years ago:
"There is a class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs -- partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs." Booker T. Washington
First, so-called civil rights leaders like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton demanded Zimmerman's arrest. Then they demanded Zimmerman's prosecution. And when they didn't get the trial verdict they wanted they now demand a further Department of Justice investigation with possible prosecution of Zimmerman for hate crimes.

It doesn't matter to them one bit that the FBI interviewed three dozen people more than a year ago about Zimmerman's racial attitudes and concluded he was not a racist. There is too much money to be made by accusing Zimmerman of being a racist and by extension the entire justice system even though President and Obama and Attorney General Holder who are in charge of the justice system are black.

A hate message from a Chicago church?
Sure, anything to make a buck! Notice the "kkk"?
There are left wing kooks coming out of the media woodwork to spread their poison. While the rioting wasn't as bad as some had predicted and perhaps others hoped that hasn't stopped the left wing propgandists. Writing at Salon, one nut said that the "real problem [in America] is white rage." Tell me, how many white people rioted when O.J. Simpson was acquitted for killing his ex-wife and Ronald Goldman?

Then there's the mantra that somehow it's open season for whites to kill black people. That sentiment was expressed in the sign at First Baptist Church in Chicago.  No pastoral message of peace and love there. Just a not so subtle reference to the Ku Klux Klan.

Also in Chicago, Obama's pal, Father Pfleger, a Roman Catholic priest dressed in his priestly finery gave away the game when he screamed: “I refuse to ignore the race in this issue… we are not in a post-racial area… in fact, racism has a second breath in America today, and last night it got new oxygen.” It's the evident racism of people like Pfleger that is on display.

Isn't it odd that the racists of Chicago would be so up in arms about the death of one black teenager in Florida since 3 teens and a five year old were killed in the Windy City during the Zimmerman trial? Newsflash: they weren't gunned down by whites. Black on black gun violence is out of control in Chicago despite some of the nation's toughest gun laws. But that sad reality, hundreds killed every year, doesn't seem to get much attention from the race profiteers.

Bill O'Reilly's July 16th commentary nailed it:

O'Reilly: There is no question that the American media is not reporting the black-white crime situation accurately. According to the FBI 91% of homicides on black Americans were committed by other blacks. Also, 14% of homicides on whites were committed by blacks - twice as many as the other way around. So the truth is that black men are not being "hunted" down by whites as some hysterical commentators charged after the Zimmerman acquittal.
It's sad that so many on the left buy into and readily propagate the big lie on race. But then, I guess they are used to being manipulated by an elite motivated by greed. How else do you explain their readiness to buy into the global warming fraud? And as long as we have a corrupt media that plays along I expect these and other left wing lies to continue. After all, there's big money at stake when you can get away with scaring people to death!

Justice in Zimmerman Case But at What Cost?

Tragedy became farce and circus in a story that will soon be repeated with different actors for the benefit of a corrupt left wing agenda!

ZIMMERMAN NOT GUILTY!!!

That was the headline after a Florida jury returned a not guilty verdict in the trial of George Zimmerman charged with the murder of Trayvon Martin. In a press conference following the verdict defense attorney Don West said that the jury in this case kept this "tragedy from becoming a travesty." His fellow defense colleague Mark O'Mara might have disagreed because to him it was apparent in his remarks after the verdict that the trial was a sham from the beginning:
MARK O'MARA: “(George Zimmerman) A man who believes in the system… A man whose dad was a judge, who maybe wanted to be a cop or a prosecutor and then gets a system… Two systems went against George Zimmerman that he CAN’T understand. You guys, the media, he was like a patient on an operating table where mad scientists were committing experiments on him and he had no anesthesia. He didn’t know why he was turned into this monster, but quite honestly you guys had a lot to do with it, you just did, because you took a story that was fed to you and you ran with it and you ran right over him and that was HORRID to him.

Then, he comes into a system that he trusts… Let’s not forget SIX voluntary statements, voluntary surrender, and he believes in a system that he really wanted to be a part of, right? And then he gets prosecutors that charge him with a crime that they could never ever prove. It’s not like they… they didn’t lose evidence along the way, right? So, I don’t think anyone would argue with me in this room, that they had evidence of 2nd degree murder. This “in your heart” kind of stuff, that’s not what we’re supposed to do and it’s not what they’re supposed to do. SO, those 2 systems failed him!”
Yes, George Zimmerman should never have been charged with murder, yet alone manslaughter. There was no evidence to support any prosecution. So how did it happen? We have the words of former Sanford, Florida Police Chief Bill Lee describing the political pressure being brought to bear by groups intent on promoting a racist angle to this case and thereby corrupting our system of justice.

Let's not forget Obama who refuses to comment on sensitive investigations when his friends are the target but had no problem inserting himself into the affair by suggesting "if I had a son, he'd look like Trayvon."  Then there's the Obama Justice Department which used taxpayer funds to send DOJ personnel to Florida to assist race groups in organizing their protest. 500 people, mostly young black males, die in gun violence in Obama's hometown of Chicago every year and you don't much about it from the Obama Administration.

The tragic death of Trayvon Martin was an opportunity for the Obama Administration to distract blacks, many of whom were critical of Obama's failures to address 14% unemployment in the black community. Obama and the racebaiters like Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, the Black Panthers and the usual communist groups that show up whenever a television camera can be found were only too happy to use this tragedy for their own purposes.

It's a trial that only took place because a left wing racist mob was set to lynch George Zimmerman and they didn't care what evidence existed which proved his innocence. Jeffrey Scott Shapiro writing at the Washington Times wonders:
Whether the Zimmerman case may go down as one of the most meritless and politically motivated prosecutions in history. And the fallout on the streets of America remains to be seen.
In the aftermath of this trial we see a country more deeply divided on race than it would otherwise have been if the blood lusts of the left wing racebaiters and Obama political machine had been prevented from corrupting the judicial process. Sadly we can only surmise that there will be more such tragic farces as those who gained financially or politically from this event seek another round of circuses to support themselves and their corrupt causes!

Frack Nation Debunks the Deluge of Lies Left Tells About Gas Fracking

Eventually the truth really does come out but is it too late?

I was channel flipping last night when I landed on AXS TV. The program I stuck with was called Frack Nation and it debunks the lies the left tells about the process known as hydraulic fracking to release underground gas and oil deposits. A technology that could forever free the United States, and much of the world, from the grip of Arab oil.

The left is doing everything they can to stop fracking and there's no lie or falsehood they won't try. A series of documentaries on HBO called "Gasland" contains some of the most hysterical big lie scaremongering you're likely to find anywhere. Frack Nation takes on the left's propaganda and does it with an entertaining and informative narrative that is well sourced and is loaded with first person reporting on location throughout the United States and elsewhere in the world.

Here's a longer clip from the program:

Frack Nation exposes the clear fraud that the left is using to stop fracking. They went to towns in Pennsylvania and Texas where the left asserts that the air and water are being poisoned (sound familiar) and talked to the people who actually live there. More to the point, they reported the results of air, water and blood sampling tests done by the states and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency all of which found there to be no contamination problem as a result of fracking.

But when did the anti-energy left let a thing like facts and scientific analysis get in their way? They are still out there creating so-called documentaries that win wide critical acclaim from their Big Hollywood and media allies even when they repeat such obvious lies as the guy whose garden hose spews flames. Never mind that a Texas Judge found that this demonstration was a fraud:
Texas’ 43rd Judicial District Court found in February 2012 that Steven Lipsky,  “under the advice or direction” of Texas environmental activist Alisa Rich, “intentionally attach[ed] a garden hose to a gas vent—not a water line” and lit its contents on fire.

“This demonstration was not done for scientific study but to provide local and national news media a deceptive video, calculated to alarm the public into believing the water was burning,” the court found in response to a defamation complaint brought by Range Resources, the company conducting hydraulic fracturing operations in the area, against Lipsky and his wife.
It's important to note that Alisa Rich, one of the prime conspirators in that Texas case attempted to pass herself off as a scientific professional in the field and had to admit in court that she had no professional qualifications in this area.

Kyle Smith at the New York Post reviewed Frack Nation, giving it 3 1/2 stars and added this to say:
If you get an Oscar nomination for fearmongering based on rumors and lies, what do you get for debunking the Oscar nominee? Nothing, probably, but Phelim McAleer, who in “FrackNation” gleefully shreds assertions made in the anti-fracking documentary “Gasland,” should be content to have struck a blow for truth.
You also won't want to miss the scene in fracking where the presenter asks one of the fraudsters on a public street if she will provide an independent water sample for testing. The woman become agitated and warns the report that she's packing heat and is willing to use it. Since when does the left believe in possessing firearms?

It's impossible to have an honest debate with the left when they continue to present exposed frauds and lies. Meanwhile, the left's agents in government continue to support the big lie by blocking fracking wherever they can. We all pay more for energy as a result!

Dems Blame GOP for ObamaCare Failure

Do they really think their voters are THAT stupid?

If you paid any attention at all to the health care debate in 2009 and 2010 you will remember that GOP leaders offered up a slew of market based health care solutions. You may also recall that Democrats in both the House and Senate blocked nearly every GOP idea from being considered as part of ObamaCare. As much as anything else that explains why not a single Republican (and a number of Democrats) in both houses of Congress voted against it. Democrats went ahead anyway and passed into law a bill that none of them had actually read and now they are stuck with it.

Except that some Dems think the voters are too stupid to remember what happened and thus, they think they can blame the mess THEY created on the GOP. Writing in the Washington Post Jamelle Bouie writes a column titled "We can fix the problems with the ‘employer mandate,’ but the GOP won’t let it happen." In it he confronts the Obama Administration's unilateral decision to delay the employer mandate (an action that has no basis in law... does anyone wonder why opponents are skeptical also about the enforcement of immigration law?). Bouie then goes on to say that reforms of ObamaCare are possible only with the help of the GOP:
But such an administrative reform is only possible in a settled political environment, where both sides accept the reality of the Affordable Care Act. As it stands, the Republican Party is still committed to repealing every portion of Obamacare, regardless of the costs. Indeed, after news of the delay broke, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor responded on Twitter with a simple declaration. “Rather than simply delaying the pain, we should go ahead and scrap this entire law before any more damage is done.”

Of course, the odds of a full rollback are slim. For it to happen, Republicans would have to win the White House and overwhelming majorities in the House and Senate. The earliest this could happen is 2017, and even then, they would have to deal with the existence of an Obamacare constituency — the millions of Americans who get direct benefits as a result of the law. Repeal is a great slogan, but it’s not a feasible approach.

Republicans don’t care, and that indifference guarantees that — when the administration hits roadblocks in implementing the Affordable Care Act — it will have no choice but to power through them, even when legislation is a better option. The GOP wants Obamacare to fail, and it’s doing all it can to ensure that outcome.
So, let's recap: Obama and House and Senate Dems forced this bill down the throat of the American people without reading it and are now in trouble and expect the GOP to bail them out? We've already offered to do so by repealing ObamaCare and starting over with a true compromise on market based solutions. But once again, Democrats want it all their way and yet have the gall to blame the GOP when things go wrong.

ObamaCare is a failure. Even Dems know it. Retiring Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-MT) called it a "huge train wreck." What do you do in a train wreck? The first thing is GET OUT OF THE WAY! The job will fall to Congressional Republicans to pick up the pieces after the wreck. But unless Democrats are willing to join with the GOP now to stop the train before it goes off the rails by repealing ObamaCare there is nothing more we can do.

Obama's Budget Cutbacks Mean No 4th of July at Local and Other Military Bases

But no cutbacks for Obama's Africa trip costing $60-$100 million!

The Marine Corps Recruit Depot at Parris Island, SC hosts an annual 4th of July event. Bands, troops in uniform and fireworks draw thousands of area residents. It's a great way for the military to stay connected to the local community. But not this year. No public events on the base this 4th of July. The same at many other bases around the country. The men and women who risk their lives to defend the freedom we celebrate on this day will have to make other plans.

Why? Obama's sequestration budget cuts. Congressional Republicans offered Obama special legislation which would allow him to prioritize cuts that might have saved the 4th of July but he refused. But there were no cutbacks in Obama's travel plans for the last few months including $60-$100 million which the government estimated would be the cost for the Obama Families trip o Africa.

While military families around the country will go without fireworks budget cuts won't stop Obama from hosting a 4th of July blowout at the White House. Surprise!

HAPPY 4th of July!

Chief Detective in Trayvon Murder Case Testifies Zimmerman Likely Telling Truth About Event

Zimmerman was happy to learn of video that would prove his case!

Either the Prosecution in the George Zimmerman murder trial is working for the defense or they're just giving that appearance. After a poor start last week they brought the police detectives to the witness box on Monday. They also showed an extended video interview the police took with Zimmerman at the scene of the shooting of Trayvon Martin in which Zimmerman got to make his case.

Following the video former lead investigator for the Sanford Police, Christopher Serino testimony was most enlightening:
When asked at the end of the day by defense attorney Mark O'Mara about his suggestion to Zimmerman that there was a strong chance that there would be videotape of the incident, Serino said Zimmerman was happy about the possibility.

"I believe his words were, 'thank god. I was hoping somebody would have videotaped it."

When asked by O'Mara what that response indicated to him, Serino said, "Either he was telling the truth or he was a complete pathological liar."

The defense followed up by asking Serino if pathological liar was taken off the table, did he think Zimmerman was telling the truth. Serino flatly replied, "Yes."
Detective Serino used the possibility of a video to test Zimmerman's willingness to stand by his statements. The Detective was satisfied by Zimmerman's answer. The question is, will those who instantly made the false assumption that Zimmerman is a monster bent on lynching an innocent black youth allow this information to penetrate the fog of willful misinformation that surrounds this case?

Strange Silence from Obama As Egyptians Seek to Throw Off Yoke of Islamist Dictator

Why is Obama silent when Islamist rule is threatened?

You remember what it was like when Egypt's long serving President Mubarak faced mounting protests? Obama took to the microphones personally on an almost daily basis urging Mubarak to relinquish power and respect the will of the people. When Mubarak did leave, Obama spoke to the American people and hailed Mubarak's exit as an "historic day in Egypt."

Flash forward two years and Egyptians are once again protesting in the streets demanding the removal of the Islamist minority who have basically attempted to created a theocratic dictatorship in the mold of Iran. This time, the protests comprise " the largest crowds in Egypt’s modern history." Some reports describe crowds of up to 17 million people nationwide. Far larger than the original protests in 2011.

This picture shows Tahrir Square on Sunday as Egypt prepares to celebrate it's own Independence Day:

Egypt prepares for their own Independence Day with mass protests
demanding end of rule by radical Muslim Brotherhood.
Where is Obama?

Obama is actually in Africa, but apparently has little to say about this bid to remove radical Islamists from power. You won't find anything recent on the White House web site (1,2,3). The closest Obama comes to the issue is an appeal for "restraint" and concern over possible violence. Well and good but contrast that with his prior messages calling anti Mubarak protesters an "inspiration."

William Bigelow at Breitbart expands on the theme:
Obama, who is vacationing in Tanzania, said he is "concerned" about the protests and violence in Egypt, but added that Morsi's election was “legitimate.” He followed with this piece of chicanery:

Our position has always been, it's not our job to choose who Egypt's leaders are. When I took a position that it was time for Egypt to transition [away from Hosni Mubarak in 2011], it was based on the fact that Egypt had not had democratic government for decades, if ever. And that's what the people were calling for.

What Obama actually said about ousting Mubarak when he did interfere in 2011 was this:
(it) must be meaningful, it must be peaceful and it must begin now. Furthermore, the process must include a broad spectrum of Egyptian voices and opposition parties. It should lead to elections that are free and fair. And it should result in a government that's not only grounded in democratic principles but is also responsive to the aspirations of the Egyptian people.

There was no mention of the aspirations of the Egyptian people on Monday.

Morsi has insinuated that he will not budge because he knows the White House will not bring pressure to bear, and he is correct; Obama boasted that U.S. policy toward Egypt would not budge just because of "counting the number of heads in a protest march. We're going to continue to work with all parties inside of Egypt to try to channel this through legal, legitimate processes.”
Some suggest that Obama is merely being consistent in his lukewarm embrace of the anti Mursi crowd. It's the same caution he exercised whenever there was a choice between radical Islamists in power and secular groups seeking democracy. Think back to the example of anti government protests in Iran where Obama stayed silent.

Egyptians Warn Americans

Here's a sign that appeared at the protests:

"Wake up America Obama Backs Up a F[ascist] Regime in Egypt"

Note to Egyptians, that's just what Obama is doing to the U.S. !

July 3 UPDATE:

From Jeffrey Goldberg at Bloomberg News:
[H]ow did the U.S. fail to formulate a strategy that would advance both American interests and American values in the largest and most crucial Arab state? Within a span of just a few years, Egyptians have somehow convinced themselves that the U.S. has been an ally of both Egypt’s former dictator, Hosni Mubarak, and Mubarak’s main enemy, the Muslim Brotherhood.

Now, Egypt is again on the brink of chaos, and the White House’s call for Mursi to schedule early elections won’t convince many Egyptians that President Barack Obama is on the side of the people. Much of the ire in Tahrir Square, and at many other demonstrations across Egypt, has been directed at U.S. Ambassador Anne Patterson. Patterson is one of the State Department’s most skilled and respected diplomats, but a large number of Egyptians now view her as an enemy of progressivism and secularism.

The charges against Patterson and the Obama administration are simple: They have enabled Mursi by refusing to pressure him to bring other parties into his governing coalition, by soft-pedaling his various power grabs, by ignoring the complaints of liberals and by cozying up to his patrons in the Muslim Brotherhood.
...
The crisis of the past few days, which may end in a military coup (which would then start the next crisis), might have been avoided had the Obama administration used its leverage -- the $1.5 billion in aid the U.S. is giving Egypt this year, for starters -- to force Mursi to include the opposition in his government from the outset. It didn’t. And the Egyptian masses noticed.
Charles Krauthammer adds:
This reminds me of the Green Revolution in Iran in 2009 when the same thing happened. Islamists, dictatorial government, the people out in the street, and they were shouting Obama, Obama, are you with us or against us. And he took a position that was essentially supportive of the regime, and the reason was he wanted to negotiate a nuclear deal which he thought he could do and he didn't want instability.

That was a shameful episode. But there's also idea of national interest. Mubarak was pro-American, he was an ally of ours, he helped us in all kinds of ways. Obama worked against him. Morsi represents a movement which is essentially deeply anti-American, and deeply anti-democratic, yet he is neutral on this. This is a shocking position for a president to take. (Special Report, July 1, 2013)
Once again, Obama is on the wrong side of history!
