Coming Home: North Korea Keeps It's Word and Returns Remains of U.S. Military

An undeniable sign that relations are improving!
A soldier carries a casket containing a remain of a U.S. soldier who was killed in the Korean War during a ceremony at Osan Air Base in Pyeongtaek, South Korea.
North Korea's Chairman Kim is fulfilling his pledge to President Trump made at the Singapore Summit to return the remains of Americans who died fighting in North Korea. On the 65th anniversary of the signing of the Armistice that ended the fighting in the Korean Peninsula 55 sets of remains arrived in South Korea aboard a U.S. cargo plane that briefly touched down in North Korea for the handover.

President Trump praised the handover in a tweet and issued a proclamation declaring "July 27, 2018, as National Korean War Veterans Armistice Day."

This is the first step in what is expected to be the return of the remains of potentially thousands of U.S. personnel. The return highlights the promise President Trump made during a speech to the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Kansas City, Missouri on Tuesday where he reiterated that "we believe in no American left behind."

Once again, Trump delivers on his promise!

European Union Raises White Flag in Trump Trade War. VICTORY Without Firing a Shot!

Will the "Putin's Puppet" Hysterics take time off to recognize the win?

This is big!

President Donald Trump and European Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker speak in the Rose Garden of the White House, Wednesday, July 25, 2018
After President Trump threatened to raise tariffs on E.U. exports to the United States European Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker made a hurried visit to Washington and in one afternoon announced "we made a deal." That wasn't so hard was it?

The United States is the largest economy in the world and the European Union's biggest trading partner. Who wouldn't want a piece of that? What a shame Obama never thought to ask for a better deal on behalf of America's workers who saw little but lip service from him for eight long years!

Here are some highlights from the press conference in the White House Rose Garden:
PRESIDENT TRUMP: So we had a big day. Very big. We met right here at the White House to launch a new phase in the relationship between the United States and the European Union — a phase of close friendship; of strong trade relations in which both of us will win; of working better together for global security and prosperity; and of fighting jointly against terrorism.

The United States and the European Union together count for more than 830 million citizens and more than 50 percent of the global GDP. In other words, together, we’re more than 50 percent of trade. If we team up, we can make our planet a better, more secure, and more prosperous place.

Already today, the United States and the European Union have a $1 trillion bilateral trade relationship — the largest economic relationship anywhere in the world. We want to further strengthen this trade relationship to the benefit of all American and European citizens.

This is why we agreed today, first of all, to work together toward zero tariffs, zero non-tariff barriers, and zero subsidies on non-auto industrial goods.

We will also work to reduce barriers and increase trade in services, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, medical products, as well as soybeans. Soybeans is a big deal. And the European Union is going to start, almost immediately, to buy a lot of soybeans — they’re a tremendous market — buy a lot of soybeans from our farmers in the Midwest, primarily. So I thank you for that, Jean-Claude.

This will open markets for farmers and workers, increase investment, and lead to greater prosperity in both the United States and the European Union. It will also make trade fairer and more reciprocal. My favorite word: “reciprocal.”

Secondly, we agreed today to a strengthen and strengthening of our strategic cooperation with respect to energy. The European Union wants to import more liquefied natural gas — LNG — from the United States, and they’re going to be a very, very big buyer. We’re going to make it much easier for them, but they’re going to be a massive buyer of LNG, so they’ll be able to diversify their energy supply, which they want very much to do. And we have plenty of it.
...
We also will resolve the steel and aluminum tariff issues, and we will resolve retaliatory tariffs. We have some tariffs that are retaliatory. And that will get resolved as part of what we’re doing.

And with that, Jean-Claude, please.
See the President's entire statement here.
PRESIDENT JUNCKER: Mr. President, ladies and gentlemen, when I was invited by the President to the White House, I had one intention: I had the intention to make a deal today. And we made a deal today.

We have identified a number of areas on which to work together. Work towards zero tariffs on industrial goods. And that was my main intention, to propose to come down to zero tariffs on industrial goods.

We’ve decided to strengthen our cooperation on energy. The EU will build more terminals to import liquefied natural gas from the U.S. This is also a message for others.

We agreed to establish a dialogue on standards. As far as agriculture is concerned, the European Union can import more soybeans from the U.S., and it will be done. And we also agreed to work together on the reform of the WTO. This, of course, is on the understanding that as long as we are negotiating, unless one party would stop the negotiations, we will hold off further tariffs, and we will reassess existing tariffs on steel and aluminum.

This was a good, constructive meeting. Thank you, Donald. (Applause.)
President Trump concluded:
PRESIDENT TRUMP: Well, thank you very much, Jean-Claude. And I just want to conclude by saying this was a very big day for free and fair trade. A very big day indeed.
Sorry to interrupt the regular news programming accusing Trump of treason or some fantasy about the stripper Stormy Daniels but this is the kind of news that has a positive economic impact on REAL Americans. Once again, Trump confounds his hysteric critics and delivers for the American people!

Three Black Interns Kicked Out of Uber by Trump Hating Driver. Where's the Outrage?

Left wing fascists are also racists. Who knew?

Blacks targeted for being Trump supporters!
Another passenger in the car, 33-year-old Adria Barrington of Tallahassee, who is interning for Arizona GOP Rep. David Schweikert, said she found the experience frightening.

“Denying me service -- because I know we were denied service based on our political thoughts and views -- will not change my political thoughts and beliefs,” Barrington said. “Denying me service is only going to make me fight harder to prove to everyone that it is conceivable to be an African American and a conservative.”

Elijah Allison of Florida, the other passenger with a Trump hat, expressed disappointment over the incident. He is interning this summer in the office of Colorado GOP Rep. Ken Buck.

“To prejudge someone is not in the moral compass of America,” Allison said. “Even though we may not have the same political affiliations or other beliefs, we should be able to agree to disagree.”
Imagine if an Uber driver tossed out of his car a group of black Hillary supporters.  Protesters would be rioting nationwide.  But when a left wing fascist toss out three black students who support Trump, not a peep!

Is this what Rep. Maxine Waters meant when she urged her supporters to harass Trump officials and supporters?  Fascist KKK left wing racists!

In Yet Another Cheap Shot at Trump Hillary Says Prez Didn't Defend Ambassador

The same woman who headed the State Department which ignored or denied HUNDREDS of security requests from Murdered Ambassador to Libya!

So, another piece of left wing fake news floated last week amongst the hate Trump hysteria crowd accusing the White House of not sticking up for a former Ambassador. Here's what Hillary Clinton tweeted:
Nice to hear Hillary suddenly standing up for an Ambassador. After all, she's the same woman who as Secretary of State responded to congressional questioning on the murder of Ambassador Chris Stevens in Benghazi "what difference does it make" and attempted to say the planned and coordinated attack was blamed on an internet video.

Hundreds of requests for security in Libya were either denied or ignored by the State Department and Hillary was never held responsible. Thank GOD she's not President!

Think Trump is Soft on Russians? Here's what Dem's Hero FDR Said About Stalin

What's worse, he acted on his reckless naivete and millions died or were imprisoned in Eastern Europe FOR DECADES!

Horror of the Cold War born at Yalta when FDR gave Stalin (who he described as a "Christian gentleman") everything he wanted.  By the time FDR found out he had been conned he died!
Forget what Trump said or didn't say to Putin in Helsinki. Even National Public Radio admits that Trump has taken a very hard line on Russia.  Unlike the previous eight years under Obama where we witnessed an unending catalog of appeasement. Even when it came to dealing with Russian meddling in U.S. elections, Obama's own people thought he was soft. One official admits they "choked" and other reports describe how Obama gave the "stand down" order rather than respond to Russian hacking.

But in the words of Samantha Bee, even a "feckless...." Obama wasn't the worst Democrat President where Russia concerned. Take the Dem's super hero, Franklin D. Roosevelt. Paul Kengor writing at American Spectator:
Senator John McCain described the Trump-Putin press conference in Helsinki as “one of the most disgraceful performances by an American president in memory.” “No prior president,” insisted McCain, “has ever abased himself more abjectly before a tyrant.”
...
In fact, where to begin with that case example? My colleague Daniel Flynn yesterday raised the specter of FDR at Yalta — a perfect illustration, but we can go earlier. I could expend thousands of words laying out FDR’s jaw-droppingly awful assessments of Stalin across multiple meetings, conferences, and correspondence. Some of these were spouted directly by FDR to the man he fondly called “Uncle Joe,” whereas others were shared by FDR advisers who begged the president not to trust Stalin.

One such adviser was William Bullitt, FDR’s first ambassador to the USSR, who once had been gushingly pro-Bolshevik — until he spent a few years in the Soviet Union, where he was awakened by the death stench that was Stalinism. As he did with so many advisers, FDR rejected Bullitt’s warnings: “Bill, I just have a hunch that Stalin is not that kind of man…. I think that if I give him everything I possibly can and ask nothing from him in return, noblesse oblige, he won’t try to annex anything and will work with me for a world of democracy and peace.”
...
Bullitt tried to tell FDR that there was no “factual evidence” that Stalin was a good man. FDR, however, saw Stalin as a “kind” man, a gentleman, one he could work with to advance democracy and peace. The president shook off Bullitt: “It’s my responsibility, not yours.”

Sure was. And the course FDR took was a disastrous one that helped pave the way for the Cold War.

Stalin had so hoodwinked the iconic New Dealer that the president mused that the mass-murdering atheist had taught him, Churchill, and other leaders of the free world something about the “way in which a Christian gentleman should behave.” Yes, Stalin, a “Christian gentleman.” FDR actually said that.
Weeks after Yalta FDR realized he had been had and wrote to Stalin expressing his disappointment. Stalin must have laughed but was never able to make good on his horrendous mistake. He died 11 days later and the Cold War which threatened the peace of the entire world was born.

Nothing Trump said at Helsinki rises to the level of the delusions of FDR where Stalin was concerned. And it hardly matters since we all understand that the current hate Trump circus isn't about Russia, but another in a series of manufactured crises designed to weaken Trump. In fact, if anyone is doing the Russian's bidding it's the hate Trump media constantly seeking to divide America based on a pathology they contracted after Hillary lost the 2016 election. Want to stop the Russians? Easy. Support TRUMP!

Obama's Advice to Politicians: When You Lie, Just Double Down and Keep Doing It!

He's the pro!

Obama is in South Africa delivering the annual Mandela lecture in Johannesburg. His topic was politics in the world today. It was yet another of those sanctimonious "I'm so great" smugness that caused so much nausea over the eight years he was President. But this section was worth mentioning:
When it comes to doubling down on a lie he's the expert. His infamous promise that ObamaCare meant "if you like your plan or your doctor you can keep it/him" was Politifact's Lie of the Year in 2013. Perhaps it should have been lie of the decade since Obama didn't just double down on it but repeated it 36 times! Don't take my word for it:

Next time someone accuses Trump of lying, just remind them he doesn't hold a candle to Obama!

More Evidence in the Indictment of Obama and the Dems Treason on Russia

A Party of Treason.  Dems Conspired to Aide Russia

More evidence of Obama and the Democrats efforts to help Russia.

First, a reminder that this is Obama and the political party that:
  1. Stopped U.S. energy development wherever possible. This includes pipelines and offshore drilling as well as anti-fracking efforts which were subsidized by Russian funding.
  2. Weakened NATO by canceling missile defense agreements with Poland and Czech Republic at the demand of Putin.
  3. Obama caught on open mic declaring he would have "more flexibility" to help Putin after the 2012 presidential election.
  4. When invaded by Russia, Ukraine asked Obama for weapons. He sent socks.
And who can forget this gem from the 2012 presidential debate.

That was followed by a chorus of every top Democrat saying the same thing. They even turned it into a campaign ad:

Remind me again which American political party is soft on Russia? If you're going to start unrolling the rope for Trump you better order a whole bunch more!

Clear Evidence Obama GUILTY of TREASON

Applying the Trump standard to Obama!

So.... while Trump is still meeting with Putin in Helsinki the Trump haters had already declared that he was a traitor guilty of treason. Whether it's one of the rabid attack dogs writing at the New York Times or former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi suggesting Putin has something on Trump there's never a shred of solid evidence to back up their absurd and inflammatory charges.

Then there was this from former CIA Director John Brennan.  No doubt written well before the news conference had even begun:

Brennan's ridiculous rant is especially troubling since HE was Director of the CIA while the Russians were hacking Democrat computers with impunity and sending teams of Russian trolls to meddle in the U.S. election on social media.

Where were you Brennan when all this was going on? Not a peep!

Same for your boss Obama.

Here's Obama less than a month before the November 2016 presidential election insisting there was nothing to worry about:

OBAMA: "There is no serious person out there who would suggest that you could even rig America's elections, in part because they are so decentralized. There is no evidence that that has happened in the past, or that there are instances that that could happen this time,"
Then, by golly, Hillary loses and suddenly it's because of the Russians!

Presto change-o Obama is OUTRAGED and claims he told Putin to "cut it out" the previous September.  Too late!

OBAMA: “So in early September when I saw president Putin in China, I felt that the most effective way to ensure that that didn't happen was to talk to him directly and tell him to cut it out and there were going to be serious consequences if he didn't.
Aha!  Obama met with Putin.  TREASON!

Let's recap. For EIGHT YEARS Obama, Brennan and the rest of the hand wringers who are currently accusing Trump of treason were in charge and did NOTHING while all this is going on. Even when the Russians hacked the Democrat National Committee's computer network the Democrats refused to hand over the server to the FBI for top level forensic analysis. Former FBI Director James Comey describes "multiple requests" for the Democrats to hand over the server for examination. All were refused. You try doing that to the FBI when they ask for something!

There is absolutely NO CREDIBLE EVIDENCE to suggest that the Trump campaign had anything to do with Russia. There is however a MOUNTAIN OF EVIDENCE to show how the Obama Administration ignored Russian meddling, except when Obama told them to "cut it out." The consequences Obama warned about never appeared. Just like the Democrats server.

So, applying the current Trump standard, Obama is guilty of TREASON!

Trump in England: A Pictorial Review

His British hosts did not disappoint despite the best effort of the hate filled left!

At last year's Bastille Day parade in Paris President Trump took center stage as the guest of honor of French President Macron. It was then that the British were put on notice that they'd better step it up for an upcoming Trump visit. That visit was delayed several times but finally happened this week. It was worth the wait.

Even those Londoners who don't pay much attention to such things could tell something unique was happening. Foregoing much of the usual presidential motorcade Trump used a fleet of presidential helicopters to get around the region. The leftist hate Trump media that would have complained about the traffic mess resulting from the motorcade complained instead that the helicopters were frightening children. No, I won't link to those sites. But suffice to say that the city which survived the Nazi blitz would hardly be terrified by a few helicopters.

Here's the scene of the presidential fleet hovering over Parliament Hill:

The Trump's stayed at Winfield House, a beautiful residence set in 12 acres and part of Regent's Park. It's the official residence of the U.S. Ambassador Robert Wood Johnson. Johnson's wife Suzanne is a personal friend of First Lady Melania Trump going back to their days in New York City.

Below the two women share a moment at Winfield House shortly after the First Couple's arrival on Thursday:

Later that day the First Couple stepped out to the helicopter on their way to a gala dinner at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire:

What an entrance. What a view! Arrival by helicopter gave the Trump's an incredible view of the Palace and the English countryside:

Red carpet welcome at the Palace:

The President and First Lady were greeting by Prime Minister Teresa May and her husband Philip.  Video of the arrival ceremony is here.

On Friday, it was business with Prime Minister May greeting Trump at Chequers, the Prime Minister's official country residence in Buckinghamshire.  Like the previous meeting at Blenheim, there was a lot of hand holding between May and Trump:

May has had a bit of a rough patch lately with the mutiny of many in her party objecting to her weak plan to disentangle Britain from the maw of the European Union.  Trump hit on the sore point in a hard hitting interview with the Sun newspaper in which he seemed to suggest that a soft Brexit would make it more difficult to get a more favorable trade deal with the United States.

Trump walked some of that back on Friday at their joint press conference. Trump said "whatever you do is OK by us." Instead of frowns it was smiles all around:

PRESIDENT TRUMP [full transcript]:  "So I would say I give our relationship, in terms of grade, the highest level of special.  So we start off with special.  I would give our relationship with the UK — and now, especially after these two days with your Prime Minister, I would say the highest level of special.  Am I allowed to go higher than that?  I’m not sure.  (Laughter.)  But it’s the highest level of special.  They are very special people.  It’s a very special country.  And as I said, I have a relationship because my mother was born in Scotland.  So, very important."

Meeting with the Prime Minister and staff took place indoors:

Next, off to Windsor, by helicopter of course and tea with the Queen.

Meanwhile, First Lady Melania Trump wearing a dress by British designer Victoria Beckham stopped by the Royal Chelsea home for old age military pensioners. She was escorted by Prime Minister May's husband Philip. Melania joined in a game of lawn bowling with children from St George’s Church of England primary school.

The First Lady even got a "high five" from one of the Chelsea Pensioners:

Tea with the Queen

The highlight of the day had to be the welcome by Queen Elizabeth II at Windsor Castle.  A more relaxed venue than the high profile meeting at Chequers there was nonetheless duty for Trump to perform in inspecting the guard of honor:

Now that the ceremony and business of the President's trip to England is over he jets off to Scotland for some relaxation and preparation for his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.  Since he's spent the last days successfully urging NATO members to pay more for their own defense and chastising Germany for giving billions to Russia in exchange for energy that meeting should be interesting.  Remind me, who is Putin's puppet?

Anti-Trump protesters tie up London and make a mess. Churchill would be appalled!

On the same day Trump was trying to spare Londoners the traffic tie up of a presidential visit, the Trump haters were busy doing that themselves in central London.  Showing utter disregard for the special relationship cultivated by former Prime Minister Winston Churchill these Trump haters flew a balloon of a Trump baby in Parliament square next to Churchill's statue:

As Churchill left office after his second time as Prime Minister he strongly admonished those who followed him in office "never be separated from the Americans."  He would be disgusted by the show of disrespect on display today!
But like Trump haters in the United States, these left wing fascists are merely demonstrating their total irrelevance.  The "special relationship" between two great allies is alive and well despite the best efforts of the hate filled left!

"LIAR!" FBI Agent Claiming "Patriotism" in Trump Hate Denounced in Congressional Hearing

Why isn't this guy under indictment?

Explosive hearing today on Capitol Hill when former FBI Agent Peter Strozk was called to testify under oath before a joint hearing of the House Oversight and Judiciary Committees. Strozk claimed he had "no bias" in his work at the FBI, despite the huge volume of private messages he sent on his government phone to a co-worker and that he was only motivated by a "deep patriotism." Is that a new euphemism for the deep state?

House Republicans were not buying it. One after another they cited Strozk's texts and asked him to explain. Here are a few examples:

At one point Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) asks Strozk to read a few of these texts. Cue the video to the 2:40 mark:

So, this is the guy who has no bias? Meanwhile, Democrats at the hearing applauded Strozk. I wonder if the tables were turned they'd be so eager?

In this exchange with Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-SC) Strozk continues to deny bias was the reason for his removal from the Special Counsel team investigating Trump:

There is some justification for this. The Mueller team is FILLED with Hillary loyalists and Trump haters. But none who have been so brazen as Strozk.

Rep. Louis Gohmert (R-TX) spoke for many when laid it out for Strozk.

REP. GOHMERT: "He is really good. He is lying. He knows we know he is lying, and he could probably pass a polygraph. I've talked to FBI agents around the country, you've embarrassed them, you've embarrassed yourself, and I can't help but wonder when I see you sitting there with your little smirk. How many times did you look so innocent into your wife's eye and lie to her?"
Strozk was having an affair with FBI lawyer Lisa Page who shared the texts above on their government phones. If Strozk will lie to his wife, why should we believe him now?

Note Democrats in the video leaping to Strozk's defense. Also also suggesting he deserves a "purple heart" for his testimony. That smacks every wounded veteran in the face but it's what we have come to expect from this corrupt cabal.

We've only peeled back a few layers of this onion but the deeper we go the more corruption we find. Just when will we have a special prosecutor to put these criminals in jail where they belong?

Trump Contrasts Weak German NATO Spending w/ Trade Surplus and Dependence on Russian Energy

Why is U.S.  paying to defend a wealthy Germany that does not meet it's own agreed targets for NATO spending and gives billions to Russia?

In 2017 Germany posted it's highest budget surplus since reunification.  In the same year their trade surplus with the United States neared $64 billion. And while Germany has increased defense spending in accord with the 2014 NATO agreement, they remain far below the required 2% GDP target and appear willing only to reach 1.5% within the agreed 2024 time frame.

Why the focus on Germany?  Other NATO nations are also in arrears. But Germany's huge economy means that billions every year are not contributed to defense.  Many smaller countries exceed or fail to meet the same requirement but their relative contribution is minor.

Here's the chart. Note some progress since 2014:

Trump: "These countries have to step it up -- not over a 10 year period, they have to step it up immediately!"

In a Breakfast meeting with the NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, Trump was informed that his leadership on this issue meant that "last year was the biggest increase in defense spending across Europe and Canada in that generation." Not good enough!

Here's an excerpt of what Trump said at the breakfast:
PRESIDENT TRUMP: Just look at the chart. Take a look at the chart. It’s public. And many countries are not paying what they should. And, frankly, many countries owe us a tremendous amount of money for many years back, where they’re delinquent, as far as I’m concerned, because the United States has had to pay for them. So if you go back 10 or 20 years, you’ll just add it all up. It’s massive amounts of money is owed. The United States has paid and stepped up like nobody. This has gone on for decades, by the way. This has gone on for many Presidents. But no other President brought it up like I bring it up. So something has to be done, and the Secretary General has been working on it very hard.

This year, since our last meeting, commitments have been made for over $40 billion more money spent by other countries. So that’s a step, but it’s a very small step. It sounds like a lot of money, and it is. But it’s a very small amount of money relative to what they owe and to what they should be paying. And it’s an unfair burden on the United States.
...
Well, I have to say, I think it’s very sad when Germany makes a massive oil and gas deal with Russia, where you’re supposed to be guarding against Russia, and Germany goes out and pays billions and billions of dollars a year to Russia. So we’re protecting Germany. We’re protecting France. We’re protecting all of these countries. And then numerous of the countries go out and make a pipeline deal with Russia, where they’re paying billions of dollars into the coffers of Russia.
...
It should have never been allowed to have happened. But Germany is totally controlled by Russia, because they will be getting from 60 to 70 percent of their energy from Russia and a new pipeline. And you tell me if that’s appropriate, because I think it’s not, and I think it’s a very bad thing for NATO and I don’t think it should have happened. And I think we have to talk to Germany about it.

On top of that, Germany is just paying a little bit over 1 percent, whereas the United States, in actual numbers, is paying 4.2 percent of a much larger GDP. So I think that’s inappropriate also. You know, we’re protecting Germany, we’re protecting France. We’re protecting everybody. And yet we’re paying a lot of money to protect.

Now, this has been going on for decades. This has been brought up by other presidents. But other presidents never did anything about it because I don’t think they understood it or they just didn’t want to get involved.

But I have to bring it up, because I think it’s very unfair to our country. It’s very unfair to our taxpayer. And I think that these countries have to step it up not over a 10-year period; they have to step it up immediately. Germany is a rich country. They talk about they’re going to increase it a tiny bit by 2030. Well, they could increase it immediately tomorrow and have no problem. I don’t think it’s fair to the United States.
...
So we have to talk about the billions and billions of dollars that’s being paid to the country that we’re supposed to be protecting you against. You know, everybody is talking about it all over the world. They’ll say, well, wait a minute, we’re supposed to be protecting you from Russia, but why are you paying billions of dollars to Russia for energy? Why are countries in NATO, namely Germany, having a large percentage of their energy needs paid to Russia and taken care of by Russia?
...
I think trade is wonderful. I think energy is a whole different story. I think energy is a much different story than normal trade. And you have a country like Poland that won’t accept the gas. You take a look at some of the countries — they won’t accept it, because they don’t want to be captive to Russia. But Germany, as far as I’m concerned, is captive to Russia, because it’s getting so much of its energy from Russia. So we’re supposed to protect Germany, but they’re getting their energy from Russia. Explain that. And it can’t be explained — you know that.
Later, Trump and Merkel played nice while the media keeps trying to spin conflict. Either way, Merkel got the message.   No more Mr. Nice Guy, Trump is determined to take on trade and weak NATO spending.  His efforts have already yielded results but it's not enough!

UPDATE: Trump gets results!  NATO members agree to increase spending.

Statement by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg at the close of the meeting in Brussels:
STOLTENBERG: I told you earlier this week that I expected frank discussions on burden-sharing.
And that’s exactly what we had.

That is what we do among friends and Allies.

All Allies have heard President Trump’s message loud and clear.
We understand that this American president is very serious about defence spending.
And this is having a clear impact.

After years of decline, when Allies were cutting billions,
now they are adding billions.
Before, the trend was down.
Now, the trend is up.
In fact, since President Trump took office, European Allies and Canada have added an additional 41 billion dollars to their defence spending.

And all Allies have committed to raise this number substantially.
So we are stepping up as never before.

Allowing US spending to go down.

There is a new sense of urgency due to President Trump’s strong leadership on defence spending.

Today, all Allies agreed to redouble their efforts.
And this will make NATO stronger.

Trump Chooses Moderate Conservative Justice for Court. Left Goes Bonkers Anyway

President chooses most qualified nominee with broadest appeal.  Not that it matters to Dems!

President Trump introduces Brett Kavanaugh and family to East Room of the White House as
he nominates Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court.
PRESIDENT TRUMP: I’ve often heard that, other than matters of war and peace, this is the most important decision a President will make. The Supreme Court is entrusted with the safeguarding of the crown jewel of our Republic, the Constitution of the United States.
...
In keeping with President Reagan’s legacy, I do not ask about a nominee’s personal opinions. What matters is not a judge’s political views, but whether they can set aside those views to do what the law and the Constitution require. I am pleased to say that I have found, without doubt, such a person.

Tonight, it is my honor and privilege to announce that I will nominate Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the United States Supreme Court.

Judge Kavanaugh has impeccable credentials, unsurpassed qualifications, and a proven commitment to equal justice under the law.

A graduate of Yale College and Yale Law School, Judge Kavanaugh currently teaches at Harvard, Yale, and Georgetown.

Throughout legal circles, he is considered a judge’s judge — a true thought leader among his peers.

He is a brilliant jurist, with a clear and effective writing style, universally regarded as one of the finest and sharpest legal minds of our time. And just like Justice Gorsuch, he excelled as a clerk for Justice Kennedy. That’s great. Thank you. (Applause.)

Judge Kavanaugh has devoted his life to public service. For the last 12 years, he has served as a judge on the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals — with great distinction — authoring over 300 opinions, which have been widely admired for their skill, insight, and rigorous adherence to the law.

Among those opinions are more than a dozen that the Supreme Court has adopted as the law of the land.

Beyond his great renown as a judge, he is active in his community. He coaches CYO Basketball, serves meals to needy families, and — having learned from his mom who was a schoolteacher in D.C. — tutors children at local elementary schools.

There is no one in America more qualified for this position, and no one more deserving.
In his remarks following Trump Kavanaugh described how his mother, a school teacher, went on to become a lawyer, a prosecutor and a judge. Kavanaugh said "The President introduced me tonight as Judge Kavanaugh. But to me that title will always belong to my mom."

Judge Kavanaugh also worked in the Bush White House and was appointed as a federal judge by President Bush. Few have ever accused Bush of nominating overly conservative judges. Kavanaugh is certainly a more moderate choice than others Trump had considered. He was also selected as one who, because of his exceptional qualifications should be easy to confirm. Richard Wolfe, at USA Today writes "Brett Michael Kavanaugh may be the most qualified Supreme Court nominee in generations. "

Senate and House Republicans quickly lined up to show their support for the President's decision with words of high praise for Kavanaugh.

Predictably, the hatemongers on the left wasted no time in condemning Trump's pick. But their unrelenting campaign of blind hate makes them increasingly irrelevant to the hearts and minds of real America.

Left's "Boy who cried wolf" hysteria growing tiresome

As a duly elected President of the United States Trump has the constitutional power to nominate justices to the U.S. Supreme Court when vacancies occur.  But since Trump was elected, Democrats have discarded all pretense of deference to the U.S. Constitution or the democratic process. Like the classic Marx Brother's routine, If Trump is for it, they're against it.

Once again we see that political power is the only principle the left cares about. Let's face it: Trump could nominate Mother Teresa and the left would say she was a "dangerous extremist" and threat to democracy.  Hate, fear and hysteria is all they have and they make money selling that to their millions of followers who, like their leaders, have no respect for elections. Unless they win.

Trump won in 2016 in no small part because he promised to nominate justices that would decide cases with the same intellectually rigorous and objective standard exemplified by the late Justice Antonin Scalia.  A justice who doesn't reinvent the U.S. Constitution or make law but who understands the role of the court is to make sure the law is enforced as written within the constitutional framework.

As Obama once said, "elections have consequences" and the left will just have to accept it.  Meanwhile, as we approach the fall mid term congressional election they will have an opportunity to be heard. Thus far, they're making fools of themselves!

Children Deprived of Visit to Statue of Liberty on July 4th by Left Wing Protester

Once again, the left puts THEIR right to protest ahead of the rights of the rest of us!

Going back to my days studying political philosophy I remember the discussion on liberty. Basically, I have the freedom to do whatever I want as long as my exercise of freedom does not infringe on the rights of others. Too bad left wingers skipped that class.

On July 4th a Congolese immigrant scaled the base of the Statue of Liberty in New York Harbor causing the monument to be evacuated. 4,000 visitors were forced to leave and thousands more denied entry because this individual put her right to protest above the rights of others. Think of all the children who looked forward to a special visit to Liberty Island, perhaps coming from far away to see the statue and were denied. Too bad no photographer was on hand to capture images of crying children.

And when cops showed up to try and help her down the protester threatened to push them off! How's that for gratitude. Too soon to say whether she caused any damage to the very thin skin of copper which is the only covering for the statue.

A spokesman for the National Park Service had this to say:
"I feel really sorry for those visitors today" who had to leave or couldn't come, spokesman Jerry Willis said. "People have the right to speak out. I don't think they have the right to co-opt the Statue of Liberty to do it."
Jim Geraghty at National Review went further:
In order to defend liberty, Okoumou risked damaging the Statute of Liberty; to help her country, she concluded she had to disrupt the Fourth of July events at an iconic national park. To demonstrate her commitment to justice, she threatened to push the ladder of law-enforcement officers. To fight back against the stereotype that immigrants are dangerous and have no respect for the law, the Congolese immigrant did something dangerous and against the law.
Of course left wingers putting their rights ahead of those of others is nothing new. Think of the anti-Trump protesters who shut down highways or bridges depriving working people the ability to get to work or home. They demand their right to free speech means they can shut down your speech, using violence if necessary.

Tell me again who the REAL Nazis are!
