A Contrast in Caring and Responsiblity

Contrast the two photos below. One shows a government exercising it's authority and responsiblity in a timely manner to evacuate Texans in ADVANCE of a major storm. The other shows how local officials in New Orleans abdicated that responsiblity and turned around and blamed President Bush instead.

Galveston, Texas residents evacuated by local school district buses FOUR DAYS BEFORE Hurricane Rita is threatened to strike the Texas coast.

New Orleans school buses that were NEVER USED to evacuate residents in the days leading up to Hurricane Katrina.

Seems Republican governors like Perry in Texas, and Barber in Mississippi (which took the direct hit from Katrina) do a better job of meeting the needs of their poorest citizens. Yet who gets slammed as being racist?
