Viet Nam Memorial Wall
Washington, D.C.
Friends and Bloggers are heading to Washington DC this Saturday, March 17, 2007 not for a St. Patrick's Day party, but to show their support for our troops, their commitment to victory in Iraq and most importantly, to protect the VietNam Memorial Wall from the threats of anti-Iraq war protesters who have threatened to deface the black granite memorial as part of their protest for "peace.".
- Always on Watch has more details.
- So does Marie's Two Cents.
- And Grizzly Mama and City Troll will be there too.
- As well as champion moonbat slayer Skye.
If you're planning to go too, drop the folks above a line and join the battalion of blogging friends dedicated to making sure that the Wall is protected and the angry, snarling defeatism of those too delusional to realize America herself is at risk does not go unanswered.
Note: Remembering my own participation in political street events in DC, allow me to suggest that if you wish to identify and find members of your group in large crowds you wear some identifying element unique to your friends on your clothes. Something like a ribbon over the shoulder that can be visible from any angle.
Also, if anyone has the technical skills (and desire) they might want to live blog the event from the scene. Is it possible to post photos from cell phones? Those of us who cannot attend would like to join you in spirit.
