Senate Rejects Obama Budget 97-0

Ryan Budget also was defeated but got 40 votes!

Two largely symbolic votes in the U.S. Senate on Wednesday showed that the Ryan GOP plan has much broader support than Obama's.

The Senate unanimously rejected Obama's phony budget plan 97-0 but Ryan's plan got 40 votes (57 against).

Just as noteworthy is the fact that Senate Democrats refuse to even release a budget of their own. Just as Democrats in both houses last year failed to pass ANY budget, Dems in the Senate are continuing to punt.

While V.P. Biden has expressed confidence a budget deal can ultimately be reached, that optimism is undermined with the resignation of Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) from the "Gang of Six" senators who many thought could fashion a deal.

This leaves the Ryan Plan as the only one on the table. What a shame Dems seem  unable or unwilling to step up and do the job they were elected to do!

The Democrats apparently want to drive this country over the cliff and couldn't care less about it.

It's like someone running up $1600 a month on their credit card, and not only without any sort of plan as to how to eventually pay it off, but not caring a whit. Go out and get drunk today, and not worry at all about tomorrow.
