Barack Obama: "Under my plan... electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket."

This should have been discussed MONTHS AGO!

In a January 2008 interview with the San Francisco Chronicle Barack Hussein Obama made the following admission:

"Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket. Even regardless of what I say about whether coal is good or bad. Because I’m capping greenhouse gases, coal power plants, you know, natural gas, you name it — whatever the plants were, whatever the industry was, uh, they would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money. They will pass that money on to consumers."

That's not all. In the same interview Obama promised to "bankrupt" new coal fired power plants which would further undermine America's need for energy independence. Audio here.

Obama may promise a few crumbs in tax credits to those who pay no income tax, but unless those citizens use candles and firewood to light and heat their homes they will pay more and more and more for the energy they need to live.

Obama: Too expensive! Too risky!
