Mexico City Protest Against Iraq War

From Yahoo News Photos

The above photo was taken on the sidewalk outside the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City. The toy soldiers are a protest against the Iraq War. How many time have you heard some lefty say we are "playing with toy soldiers" in Iraq? Yet, they seem to have cornered the market on the toy variety.

But what is really interesting is that this protest is taking place in Mexico City. You would think the few Mexicans left in that country would spend their time demanding better treatment for their own citizens, so they won't feel compelled to escape to the United States. You would think the streets of Mexico City would be flooded with protestors waving Mexican flags and demanding their rights.

It would seem that those remaining in Mexico see nothing wrong with economic and political conditions that have forced millions of their poorest ethnic Indian minority populations to leave their homes and head north.

Yeah... They will protest the U.S. in Iraq and ignore the plight of tens of millions in their own country!
