Where are the Hanging Chads, Disinfranchised Voters?

Did anyone notice a change in news reporting when it became clear Democrats were headed for a big win?

In the hours before the polls closed, we had this story about famous former first daughter Chelsea Clinton having a problem voting. It went along with similar stories of voters having problems, like this, and this and this, this, this and this.

And let's not forget this, this, this, this, and this. There were more, but you get the point.

On the basis of news stories like those above, whole rafts of Democrat lawyers spread out across the country to appeal to friendly judges to order that polling stations in areas where Democrat voters were concentrated must be kept open. They succeded in at least one state, Ohio, where polls in the most heavily Democrat areas were kept open longer than those in the rest of the state.

We're reminded of the 2004 Colorado Kerry-Edwards voting manual (PDF here) which required that "If no signs of intimidation techniques have emerged yet, launch a "pre-emptive strike" [editor: apparently elections are the only time when Democrats believe in pre-emptive strikes].

But now that Democrats are clearly victorious, isn't it funny that all these stories about voting problems have disappeared?

Hmm... I wonder why?
