Hillary Clinton announced today "I'm in" signaling that she is officially forming an exploratory committee for a presidential campaign.
She made her announcement not in some large auditorium with cheering supporters waving signs while balloons dropped, but with an internet video. Claiming that her exploratory efforts will be focused on a "conversation directly to the people of America" similar to her "listening tour" before her Senate run, she also vowed to "spend two years doing everything in my power to limit the damage George W. Bush can do."
No doubt Hillary chose the warm and fuzzy video rather than a large rally style announcement because she comes off a bit, well, SHRILL in those settings.
To remind Americans who the REAL Hillary Clinton is, we need only listen to this short audio clip: "I'm sick and tired." Does this sound like a woman capable of listening or interested in a conversation with anyone who dares to disagree with her?
Towards the end of Hillary's video, she says "Let's chat, let's have a dialogue. Because the conversation in Washington has been just a little one sided lately don't you think?"
You're right about that Hillary. All I've heard for the last six years is the constant negative drumbeat from Democrats like you who have yet to offer their nation ANYTHING by way of an effective, practical alternative to deal with the problems we have.
Chance to Get White House Furniture Back?
Hillary's video is a SLICK production to be sure. It appears to have been filmed at one of her two residences (either Chappaqua or Washington). The video might be distracting to some who view furniture and objects in the room and wonder if perhaps they were among the pieces donated to the White House that mysteriously went missing as the Clintons departed.
Perhaps if Hillary is elected she will return the missing furniture along with the "W" keys missing from the computer keyboards.
