Have you signed the Pledge?
Good news! Major Garret reports on Special Report with Brit Hume that the Biden resolution which opposes the surge of troops President Bush has ordered to Iraq is stalled and that it is likely that none of the resolutions (how many are there now?) will get any further action in the Senate this week.
I can tell you one thing with certainty: If the Democrats had the votes for the Biden resolution you can bet they would be voting on it this week.
As U.S. and Iraqi forces continue to rack up victories over the inurgents (see progress report and last update here) well in advance of the surge of troops to finally quell the violence in Baghdad, any message from the Congress that falls short of offering our troops the fullest expression of support from the American people is unacceptable.
A vote for any of the current resolutions is a vote for failure in Iraq and defeat in the war on terror.
