Bush in Ukraine

President George W. Bush stands with hand over heart during the playing of the national anthem Tuesday, April 1, 2008, during arrival ceremonies at the Presidential Secretariat in Kyiv. Standing with him is Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko. White House photo by Chris Greenberg

Put aside for the moment how much better Ukrainian President Yushchenko looks compared to photos after he was poisoned by Russian agents.

Notice instead that U.S. President George W. Bush has his hand over his heart as the U.S. national anthem is played.

Contrast that photo with this:

Barack H. Obama holds his hands in front of him as both Hillary Clinton and Bill Richardson hold hands over their hearts as the national anthem is played at an event in Iowa.

As President, would Obama not respect the national anthem, or the flag in the same way that ALL Presidents, of both parties, have in the past?

What would he do on foreign travel when the national anthem is played?

Is there perhaps a flag B.H.O. respects more?
