Curt at Flopping Aces put together a set of links to video of his favorite Tony Snow moments. It got me thinking of some other great Tony Snow clips and in the process of looking for those, I stumbled on this interview Tony did with NBC's David Gregory on how he was battling his cancer. Put aside your disgust with David Gregory for a moment. Tony Snow clearly did, but that was the kind of man he was. Half way through the interview (2min-10sec)Tony describes why he fought the disease so long and so hard:
Tony wasn't able to keep that promise he made to his son. But as he said "It's great to love people this much."
It is great to have such love. But today it is bittersweet and reminds me of the old German hymn In Dir Ist Freude: "In thee is gladness, among the sadness."
