WASHINGTON - JANUARY 21: U.S. Senator-elect Scott Brown (R-MA) (C) arrives on Capitol Hill for meeting with different senators January 21, 2010 in Washington, DC.Brown's first call was to Senator John McCain (R-AZ). McCain was an early backer of Brown's campaign and a contributor as well.
Senator John Kerry (aka "Lurch"), the senior senator from Massachusets, appealed to Brown's sense of bipartisanship and tried to nudge Senator-elect Brown into supporting a slimmed down version of health care reform. Apparenly Kerry believes that bipartisanship means, you agree with him, not the other way around.
Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (KY) greets Brown in his Capitol office.
Brown also met with Harry Reid. No photo from that meeting was released, but the photo of Harry Reid in a press conference the day before explains why. Still, others have speculated that the meeting between Reid and Brown might go something like this.
