Is Kerry "unpatriotic?"
Remember when V.P. Joe Biden said it was "patriotic" for wealthier Americans to pay more in taxes? Maybe Joe needs to call Senator John Kerry.
Instead of berthing his new yacht "Isabel" near his Nantucket, Massachusetts home, Kerry docked it instead in Rhode Island. Saving $437,500 in sales tax and an annual excise tax of about $70,000.
Remember also that the Senator's wife Teresa Heinz Kerry could easily afford to pay the taxes out of the estate left by her late Republican husband's ketchup fortune. And the same Teresa Heinz Kerry in 2004 called V.P. Dick Cheney "unpatriotic."
Funny how people who scream about "tax cuts for the rich" and call Republicans "unpatriotic" do everything they can to avoid paying taxes that support the programs liberals insist are vital to supporting the poor, seniors, children and the environment. I guess paying taxes isn't so patriotic after all!
