And the worst thing about this is that it isn't an isolated example. Violent left wing rhetoric, even after the Tucson shooting, is commonplace!
Notice how one sign reads "Wisconsin needs true leadership, not threats" and yet right next to it is "Wanted Walker Dead or
Publius has additional video with more examples including multiple references to Governor Walker and Republicans as Nazis. Publius adds: "keep this in mind as you review these signs; a large number were created by teachers, responsible for educating the next generation of Americans. Shudder."
In the 2009 video Pelosi said "I think we all have to take action and responsibility for our words," yet when it comes to the union protests in Wisconsin, Pelosi was all for it. In a recent statement she said the protests were “an extraordinary show of democracy in action.”And let's not forget that Obama has wagged his finger at the right on countless occasions, including his lecture on civility after the Tucson shooting and yet his political campaign arm is openly backing the Wisconsin protests.
Can someone please explain to me how it is "democracy" or "free speech" when Democrats prance around with vile signs in great abundance at their protests and yet Tea Partiers, who openly discourage such sentiments at their rallies are said to be "un-American?"
I've said it before and I'll say it again. If there is ever to be any improvement in the political discourse of this nation BOTH SIDES, not just the right, have to be held to the same standard.
And if God forbid, some crazy shooter were to act in Wisconsin, the blame would rightly (for a change) be placed directly on Obama and Pelosi who have done so much to urge on the protesters.
It's past time Democrats were held to the same standards they daily demand of everyone else!
