Victory in Europe Day, May 8th, 1945:
Note the adulation of the crowds for Prime Minister Winston Churchill and the statement of one participant in the celebrations that "nothing is too good for him." Less than three months later his party was voted out of power and he was out of office.
What a shame Obama banned the bust of Winston Churchill, that the British had loaned the U.S., from the White House after he was inaugurated. Winston's scowling face might be a good reminder of what happens to even the best of politicians. And NO ONE could say that Obama ranks among the "best of politicans" or anywhere near the same class as Churchill!
