Boycott the Rush Limbaugh Boycott Adverstisers

If these companies, who have made millions from advertising with Rush, can be blackmaile by the left to drop his show then they don't deserve to make millions more!

Rush Limbaugh has apologized repeatedly and at length for calling Sandra Fluke a "prostitute" for expecting someone else to pay for her contraception so she can continue to enjoy recreational sex. Never mind that last week we learned that Ms. Fluke attended Georgetown Law school after researching the school's contraception insurance policy and knowing full well they did not provide the coverage. Ms Fluke's role in this phony controversy was stage managed by Democrats who jumped on Rush's inappropriate comment to gin up the usual outrage of people who don't care what name you call anyone on the right but will start threatening to behead conservatives if we dare return the favor.

Part of the left's technique is to go after advertisers of conservative media and this they did with a long awaited vengeance toward Rush. Here is the list of companies who have dropped their advertising on his show:

AOL
Tax Resolution Services
Heart & Body Extract
Bonobos
Sears
Allstate
ProFlowers
Carbonite
Sleep Train
Sleep Number
LegalZoom
Citrix
Quicken Loans

The left isn't stopping there. Through their many front groups (supported by George Soros) they are targeting Rush's remaining advertisers in an effort to drive him off the air. The left will never tolerate any other point of view but their own and this once again shows that they will seek to punish anyone who dares to oppose them.

Boycott the Boycott

Each of the firms cited above has enjoyed tremendous success from advertising on Rush's show. It's a safe bet to say that they owe more to Rush Limbaugh's listeners than they do to the angry rabble who are protesting Rush's show. But in an age of politically correct cowardice they gave in to left wing blackmail. Should they now be rewarded with the continued support of conservatives? I say no.

My advice would be to look up the Facebook or Twitter addresses for the companies which dropped Rush and let them know you will never buy products or services from companies which give in to left wing blackmail. Jeff Lord, writing at the American Spectator has additional contact information for these firms including email and snail mail addresses.

I know Rush has said he doesn't believe in boycotts but perhaps he hopes to win back these advertisers at some time in the future. But, like allies in any fight, what good are adverstisers if they can be so easily intimidated?

And while the issue of Rush's comment, like the contraception fracas itself will soon go away, the focus of the attention of the American people must soon return to the real problems that Democrats have tried to push behind the curtain with this giant distraction. Once women realize that Republicans are not trying to take away their birth control they will start asking "WHERE ARE THE JOBS OBAMA PROMISED?"

Good luck hiding from that one forever Barack!

UPDATE: Cost of Contraception Vastly Overstatated by Dems "expert" witness

From John McCormack at the Weekly Standard:
“Forty percent of the female students at Georgetown Law reported to us that they struggled financially as a result of this policy,” Fluke testified regarding the Catholic university's policy of not covering birth control. “Without insurance coverage, contraception, as you know, can cost a woman over $3,000 during law school.”

But Fluke's testimony was very misleading. Birth control pills can be purchased for as low as $9 per month at a pharmacy near Georgetown's campus. According to an employee at the pharmacy in Washington, D.C.'s Target store, the pharmacy sells birth control pills--the generic versions of Ortho Tri-Cyclen and Ortho-Cyclen--for $9 per month. "That's the price without insurance," the Target employee said. Nine dollars is less than the price of two beers at a Georgetown bar.

It strains credulity to believe that a single Georgetown student can't afford $9 per month for birth control. But this is the justification the mandate's supporters give for forcing religious institutions to purchase insurance that violates their religious and moral convictions.
Did Fluke deliberately mislead Congress in her testimony? Would that be considered perjury? Nah! That would only be the case if a Republican did it!
