Cross your fingers!
The Intense Debate comment system has repeatedly failed and comments were being divided between I.D. and the default Google comment system.
I have uninstalled Intense Debate and installed Disqus instead. The install process was not optimal so I'll be interested to hear from readers if they have any problems.
My apologies for all the kind (even some not so kind) comments that were posted in the old system. There may be a way to import them into Disqus but I wouldn't count on it.
One would that over time comment systems would be improving and more reliable than the other way around but sadly, this does not appear to be the case.
