He's had six years to figure this stuff out and things are going from bad to worse!
First Obama withdrew all American troops from Iraq in 2011. Then he led from behind in Libya. Next he forced Egypt's Mubarak from power. Then he drew a red line over chemical weapons use in Syria and erased it. He followed that up by insisting that ISIS terrorists were nothing more than a "JV" team. Finally, he's joined Iran in pushing for a nuclear deal that is sure to cause an arms race across the region.
The result? Utter chaos and the looming prospect of a regional and perhaps wider war.
One example of the total strategic incoherence is found with this chart which shows the interconnections between U.S. allies like Saudi Arabia and adversaries like Iran:
Now, perhaps some may think Obama is the most brilliant President we've ever had and he can figure this out. If you believe that, please point me to ONE major strategic accomplishment in foreign policy that Obama has to brag about from the last six years. Sorry, but ordering the killing of Osama bin Laden isn't a strategic accomplishment.
The world is in crisis and it's due in no small measure to the vacuum of American power and leadership created by Obama. You can't blame George W. Bush for this mess. You can blame Obama. Don't say we didn't warn you!
P.S. Iranian defector confirms that U.S. has thrown in the towel and caved to Iran's demands in nuke talks. Worse than that, the U.S. is perceived as siding with Iran against the other powers in nuke talks!
