Obama Admin: More Protection for Potential Foreign Terrorists Than U.S. Citizens, Tea Party and Gun Owners

Again, we have to ask whose side Obama is on?

I've had two posts over the past week (1,2) documenting the Obama Administration active measures to block programs which would have been more effective in identifying potential terrorists before they strike.

Here's another to add to that list. The training manual from the Department of Homeland Security which clearly puts the emphasis in favor of protecting the rights of would be terrorists. From section F:

1. Ensure that the training aligns with the federal approach to
CVE, including prioritizing civil rights and civil liberties and
building partnerships with communities. (See the White
House Approach to Countering Violent Extremism.

2. Note: Countering violent extremism programs differ from
counterterrorism (CT) programs. CVE programs focus on
developing trust, enhancing community resiliency, and
protecting civil rights and civil liberties. CT programs focus
on developing sources, investigating, arresting, and
prosecuting criminal activity. Training objectives for CVE
programs should reflect this approach.

What is specifically banned is any source that might believe:

a. Many mainstream Muslim organizations have terrorist ties.
b. Mainstream Muslim organizations are fronts for Islamic
political organizations whose true desire is to establish Sharia
law in America. Muslim Americans are using democratic
processes, like litigation and free speech, to subvert
democracy and install Sharia law.

Approved attitudes in Counter Terrorism are very similar to those in this useless Countering Violent Extremism program. As we've seen the government didn't even look at the social media of those who want to enter the United States from countries where Islamic radicalism runs rampant.

When it comes to overseas visitors, there is no U.S. Constitutional privacy protection. Interesting that some on the left who pretend that there is had no problem with the IRS demanding Tea Party applicants reveal what books they read, their Facebook postings or event the content of their prayers. And let's not forget how quick the left is to demand that 2nd Amendment rights be watered down so that gun ownership can be restricted.

Once again, potential terrorists in the U.S. or abroad appear to have greater rights than the American citizens who die in terrorist attacks. Thanks Obama!
