Doctors Fired from Jobs, Threatened and Smeared for Describing Benefits of Hydroxychloroquine Even as New Studies Show Drug Works. Why?

How many will die needlessly because Dems continue to block this drug?

We were told it wasn't safe to take hydroxychloroquine to treat Covid 19 until studies were done to make sure it was effective and safe.  It's a drug that has been used for decades to treat lupus and other diseases and showed very promising signs of being able to prevent people from getting seriously ill from the virus.  But as soon as President Trump mentioned the drug Democrats went into overdrive to stop it.  Tens of thousands who died might have been saved. Here's what we know now:

There's a web site which tracks all the Hydroxychlorquine (HCQ) studies. It put out this chart which shows that shows that early uses of HCQ saves lives. 51 of the studies included in the survey showed positive results. Only 16 showed negative.

All these positive study results document the overwhelming positive benefit of early use of HCQ in preventing serious illness that would require hospitalization. Isn't that the goal?

As a sidebar here, I couldn't go further without mentioning one study which received overwhelming press attention when it declared HCQ dangerous and ineffective. That study was used by the World Health Organization and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to recommend against using HCQ. Turns out it was a fake written by an "adult entertainter" and "hostess" and science fiction writer. The media finally realized their mistake but the damage to public health and sensible public health policy had already been done. Doctors and patients are still waiting for the FDA to correct that mistake.

Why are Doctors Silenced, Fired or Threatened?

Back in the real world doctors who have been prescribing HCQ gathered recently in Washington, DC on the steps of the Supreme Court to describe how effective and safe it has been for their patients. There is a famous video of Dr. Stella Immanuel, originally from Nigeria, who declared HCQ as "the cure."

Her remarks have been scrubbed almost as soon as they appear and I expect the same here. Go here to see the video.  Joe Biden called Dr. Immanuel a "crazy woman."  Imagine if Trump said that about a black woman. But then, Biden has a history of racist remarks and a history of abusing women.

Remarks from all the other doctors have also been scrubbed from major social media.

There are other doctors too with Dr. Immanuel. One of the organizers, Dr. Simone Gold, an emergency room physician, was fired from her job for taking part. Where's Obama's promise "if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor?"  I guess that only applies if Obama approves what your doctor is prescribing.

Millions of people in the United States have been unable to take HCQ for Covid19 because of the actions of government agencies which block or severely restrict it's use. Some states require that you be hospitalized before being allowed to take it which has been shown to be the least effective use of the drug.

Fortunately in Ohio Governor Mike DeWine (REPUBLICAN) has called on the State Pharmacy Board to overturn it's ban. We can only hope other governors do the same!

Finally, a highly esteemed specialist from Yale University describes how the use of HCQ has become politicized and that it could save thousands of lives if used in time:

"I think 75,000 to 100,000 lives will be saved," Dr. Harvey Risch said in an interview Tuesday evening with Fox News’s Laura Ingraham after she asked if thousands of lives could be saved if a hydroxychloroquine stockpile was released.

“It's a political drug now, not a medical drug, and that's caused the complete population's ignorance. And I think we're basically fighting a propaganda war against the medical facts, and that color is not just the population of people, how they think about it, but doctors as well,” Risch said earlier in the interview.

“There are many doctors that I’ve gotten hostile remarks about, saying that all the evidence is bad for it, and, in fact, that is not true at all,” Risch said, claiming the medication can be used as a "prophylactic" for front-line workers.

“All the evidence is actually good for it when it is used in outpatient uses. Nevertheless, the only people who actually see that are a whole pile of doctors who are on the front lines treating those patients across the country, and they are the ones who are at risk of being forced not to do it,” Risch said.

What's really ironic is that Democrats claim to be the party of women and freedom of choice. Yet here they are attacking women by calling them "crazy" and getting them fired while denying millions of patients and doctors the freedom to choose for themselves.  I guess "my body my choice" only applies when you are aborting your unborn child.

Think of all the lives that could be saved if people had greater access to this drug.  Or do Democrats want to stretch this pandemic scare out for as long as possible?  After all, to paraphrase Hillary Clinton, at this point what difference does it make if another 100,000 people die just so long as Dems can get rid of Trump!
