Biden Walked Into the Trump Minefield in Debate. Will He Find His Way Out?

 He betrayed his left wing base but managed to survive with the help of the moderator!

Tuesday's first presidential debate probably didn't change too many minds among the handful of real undecided voters.  Trump was aggressive but Biden managed to keep it together with the help of the moderator Chris Wallace who always interrupted Trump when he went in for the kill. In essences, Trump debated two Democrats last night.  Had it been one on one Biden would have been crushed.

Old Man Biden: "Hey you kids, get off my lawn!"

My overall impression was of a strong and aggressive Trump trying to rattle old man Biden.  Joe is just 4 years older than Trump but looked so much older.  

Lost in the noise was much of the substance that we can how highlight. Moderator Wallace asked Biden about packing the supreme court and ending the Senate filibuster. Unlike Wallace's attempts to hold Trump to the question, he let it slide. Obviously Joe supports these moves:

Biden also refused to say he supports "law and order" and could not name a single law enforcement group that has endorsed him. Speaking of the violence in Portland, Biden was asked why he didn't call the Oregon Governor and Portland Mayor to ask them to stop the violence:

Biden refused to denounce Antifa or BLM. He doesn't even believe Antifa is real. Tell that to the black people who have had their neighborhoods and businesses burned to the ground by organized white anarchists:

Biden's biggest problem came when he tried to disavow the agreements he made with Bernie Sanders and AOC to get Bernie to drop out of the primary race and endorse him:

The media declared Biden the winner of the debate. Those stories were written before the debate started. But the fallout from what happened will ripple through the political world. How will the Berniebots react to this clear betrayal or won't they care if they get screwed once again?
