Obama Supporter Issues On Air Demand: "I want m***f*** Joe the Plumber DEAD!"

Is this the kind of "change" Obama promises? Death to political opponents?

Charles Karel Bouley, an Obama supporter who writes at the Huffington Post and is a morning host on San Francisco's KGO radio made the threat during a newscast on November 2, 2008. Audio here.

In a Huffington Post column dated October 13, Bouley pulled every fear card he could muster claiming that it was McCain and Palin who endangered democracy with their rhetoric:

"Yes, I'm afraid that John McCain and Sarah Palin through their hateful, spiteful and untrue rhetoric are, no matter how inadvertent, trying to get Barack Obama out of the race, literally, as in, taken out."

And yet, even after the claim that someone at a McCain rally shouted "kill him" was proven false this Bouley character demands the death of Joe the Plumber. Joe, whose only "crime" was to ask Obama a tough question.

Joe has been investigated by teams of reporters, his private information in government files was perused by Obama supporters directing state agencies. He has been smeared, tarred and feathered. All because he asked a question.

And now this.

If you think this example of hate is an isolated incident, consider what happened today on a school bus in Ohio where a young girl and her family were threatened with violence if the parent's didn't vote for Obama. The children who made those threats obviously got the idea from somewhere. It's abundantly clear that the hate in this campaign is being directed from the top down and goes back even further than DNC Chairman Howard Dean's statement that he "hates Republicans and everything they stand for."

Question for you history buffs: when was the last time political opponents were demonized; their activities criminalized and their families threatened with physical violence?

Nevada GOP Office Invaded by Gunman

After being fed a steady diet of hate directed at President Bush it's a wonder incidents like this are not more frequent.

Is this just another example of a "peace" activist who demands you agree with him or he'll kill you?

What do you expect when you have a Party Chairman like Howard Dean who "hates Republicans" and claims "We're in a battle between good and evil and we [Democrats] are the good."

Playing at a Polling Place Near You: "Revenge of the Peace Fascists"

Labor Day marks the end of summer and the official start of the political campaign season. 2006 may be a watershed moment in American politics. While all the conventional wisdom that predicted doom and gloom in 2002 and 2004 was wrong, who knows? The punditocracy might get it right this time and we find ourselves dealing with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the defeaticrats in charge of the legislative portion of the federal government for the final two years of the Bush presidency.

The secret to conservative victories in past elections is the ability to get our people registered and make sure they vote on election day and that their vote is counted and that efforts are made to eliminate fraud in the electoral process.

The deadline for registering new voters and requesting absentee ballots will pass shortly. There is no time to waste if you have a friend or family member who is not registered, or who will be unable to vote at their precinct on Election Day and needs an absentee ballot. In most states, voters need to be registered 30 days in advance of an election. Requirements for requesting absentee ballots vary, so check with your local Election Board for details.

Time is running out quick for those serving in our military overseas . If you have family members or friends in the U.S. Armed Forces, please make sure they understand that absentee ballots need to be filled out correctly, POSTMARKED, and returned well in advance of election day to avoid any challenge by Democrat poll workers.

Hold Onto Your Hats: Expect Dem Dirty Tricks

Registering voters and getting them to the polls is not enough. In the past six years we've witnessed a slew of dirty tricks that undermine the sanctity of "One man. One vote."

The Democrat attempt to exclude military ballots in Florida 2000 and recount only selective precincts where Al Gore was strongest was only the preview of what was to come.

In the 2004 presidential election, attempts to affect the vote in key states with fraud, harassment, vandalism, violence and intimidation reached epidemic levels never seen before in American politics.

Expect things to get worse. After all, Democrats continue to be fed a steady diet of hate speech directed at Republicans from Howard Dean, the Chairman of their party, on down.

When Dr. Dean states that he "hates Republicans and everything they stand for" and later goes on to suggest that: "We're in a battle between good and evil and we [Democrats] are the good." it hardly goes without notice among the ranks of those who are prepared to do anything to win the "battle" for "good."

When Peace Fascists Attack:

Ms. Sheehan and company have been knighted with "absolute moral authority" by the left. But as the new saying goes: "Absolute moral authority corrupts absolutely."

Like the KKK cross burners of old, today's Peace Fascist is obsessed with the symbol of Nazi Germany, the Swastika. It's spray painted on private property and burned into lawns

Ratcheting up the drumbeat of fascism, Peace Fascists also display a penchant for breaking windows and vandalizing property of those marked with an ideology that runs counter to that which is approved by the mob. It's another painful reminder of the history of fascism when Nazis stormed through the streets of Germany breaking the windows of Jews in what is remembered as 'Kristallnacht.'

The assault against private property is only the first step in that long, slow slide to fascism. The next step is illustrated here during the 2004 election when pro-Kerry union thugs surrounded 3 year old Sophia Parlock as she sat on her father's shoulders and tore the Bush/Cheney sign from her hands and shouted at her and her father as Parlock's 11 year old son looked on in horror.

Peace Fascists claim that President Bush and conservatives threaten their civil rights and would curtail dissent. Yet here we have a 3 year old girl subjected to the true character of those who are imbued with what they claim is an "absolute moral authority."

Yet even before Dr. Dean began his role as chief validator of the hate campaign, Democrat activists in the 2004 election assumed the mantle of "absolute moral authority" and went on sprees of violence, vandalism, theft and intimidation directed at Republicans.

When Angry Democrats Attack documents the cases in what was once regarded as peaceful Minnesota. Politburo Diktat has a list with details of multiple reports in several states of:

• Gunshots fired into GOP Headquarters in two states.
• Organized Union gangs invading, and in some cases vandalizing GOP HQ's in several states.
• Multiple reports of burglarized GOP offices and thefts.
• Nazi swastikas burned into lawns, spray painted on private property and campaign signs.

And in a direct attempt to influence the outcome of a close election in Wisconsin Michael Barone reports: "the sons of state Sen. Gwen Moore (who would be elected to Congress that day) and Acting Mayor Marvin Pratt slashed the tires of some 25 buses leased by the Milwaukee County Republican Party to take voters to the polls on Election Day."

When Dems Feel Empowered to Commit Electoral Violence, Why Not Commit Fraud as Well?

The attempt to keep the GOP voters from getting to the polls in Wisconsin in 2004 would be disturbing enough if it were an isolated incident. But John Kerry won Wisconsin's 10 electoral votes by a margin of 11,384 votes. Yet a joint investigation found that thousands more votes were recorded than voters having voted in Milwaukee. A massive number of double votes, phony registrations and felons voting also raise the specter whether the election of a U.S. president might have been decided by a deliberate campaign of vote fraud.

The American Center for Voting Rights has the full story on what happened in Wisconsin. But irregularities and fraud did not stop in the Dairy State. ACV documents similar problems in:

Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada,New Mexico, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia.

Mary Poppins, Jeffrey Dahmer, Janet Jackson, George Foreman, Brett Favre, Michael Jordan, and Dick Tracy. All Registered to Vote in Small Town Ohio.

Some of these attempts at fraud would be funny, if the subject of voter fraud weren't so serious. Take the case of Chad Staton in Defiance, Ohio. He turned in 130 voter registration cards. 126 were determined to be fraudulent. Elections officials in small town Defiance immediately be-came suspicious when the above were registered mostly at the same address as Chad and all written in the same hand.

Chad admitted to being paid for his efforts with crack cocaine by a woman working for the National Association of Colored Persons Voter Fund. Perhaps he received an advance payment.

The NAACP tried to claim that this was an isolated incident, yet the history of their voter registration efforts in Ohio suggests otherwise.

Prosecutions Few and Far Between

Chad Staton pled guilty. The woman who hired him died suddenly of a drug overdose. The tire slashers in Wisconsin got jail time. Vote buying schemes in Illinois and West Virginia also brought convictions.

But if you read the full ACVR report you cannot help but notice the scale of the problem and the failure of many states and jurisdictions to assign the resources necessary to put a stop to the fraud.

Republicans Just as Bad???

Oh, yes. I can hear the moral equivalence crowd out there just waiting to say that Republicans are "just as bad" or the usual "both sides do it" nonsense that always seeks to ignore or explain away the seriousness of the issue. Perhaps those who push that tattered line of reasoning can point me to the convictions of Republicans for similar acts.

Liberals are always wailing about how evil right-wing Christians are out to take over the country. Perhaps one of those who espouses this irrational fear can point to an example of right wing Christians forcing their way into Democrat campaign headquarters, shooting at them or attempting to buy votes and create massive false registrations.

Democrats have alleged that black voters were discouraged from voting by long lines or acts of racism. Yet, no investigation of these charges has found any evidence to support those conclusions. If you look at the list of exhibits in the ACVR report, you'll find the infamous Kerry Edwards Colorado Election Day Manual with specific instructions on how to file false charges of racism and disenfranchisement of blacks even "if no signs of intimidation have emerged yet, launch a pre-emptive strike."

The bottom line is that those who feel an "absolute moral authority" in a battle against "evil" may feel justified in breaking the law to achieve their ends. Of course this is exactly the definition of fascism and the danger it represents to democracy. Since most of these crimes go unpunished, we can only expect more of the same. Beware!

What's Wrong with These People? The Left and Nazis. Speaking from Experience?

Has anyone bothered to stop and count the number of times that senior elected and political leaders on the left accuse Republicans and the Bush Administration of being "fascists" or "Nazis?"

Just recently Julian Bond, head of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People speaking to a group in Fayetteville, North Carolina said: "The Republican Party would have the American flag and the swastika flying side by side."

And just a few weeks prior, Representative Jerrold Nadler (Defeaticrat-NY) accused Bush of usurping power in a way that even Hitler and the Nazis never contemplated: " "if he were in Germany in 1933, he would not have required the Enabling Act to pass the Reichstag to claim the power."

Nearly a year ago, Senator Robert Byrd (D-WV) the only former member of the Ku Klux Klan elected as both Exalted Cyclops of the KKK and Senate Majority Leader of Democrats in the U.S. Senate said very similar words, on the Senate floor.

And let's not forget that Dick Durbin (Defeaticrat-IL) saw the legal, regulated actions of our troops as reminiscent of NAZIS and Soviets in their Gulags.

And now, Coleen Rowley, Democrat candidate for congress in Minnesota, placed an image on her web page where the military uniform of her opponent John Kline, who served 25 years in the Marine Corps, had the military uniform in the photo replaced with a Nazi uniform and the Congressman made to resemble Hogan's hero character Colonel Klink.

We could go on and on with examples here of Senior and elected Democrats using such rhetoric. But let's just leave it with Howard Dean who last year described how he "hates Republicans" and later "This is a struggle of good and evil. And we're (Democrats) the good."

The affect this directed and organized campaign has on the lesser minds of those drunk with the ideology of Bush hate is clear and dangerous. Just look at the number of hate-filled references to Republicans as "Nazis" or "fascists" that we read in comments on blogs like Mike's America on a regular basis.

And so poisoned by this hate, it's a small leap from such unregulated raw emotion to equally unbalanced action. During the 2004 multiple examples of this unbalanced behavior were recorded.

Destruction of private property of those displaying Bush/Cheney signs at their homes, or as bumper stickers on their cars was common. Organized union efforts to invade GOP campaign headquarters around the country and shut them down occurred. And don't forget the recent conviction of five men in Wisconsin for slashing tires of Republican election vehicles in 2004. Some of the five were related to prominent Wisconsin Democrats and all five worked for the Kerry Edwards campaign in Wisconsin.

Perhaps most troubling: the various reports of gunshots fired into GOP headquarters.

And we haven't even addressed the problem of vote fraud well documented in states like Wisconsin, Washington State and Pennsylvania.

No comparable and verifiable claims of GOP inspired or organized conduct have been reported.

Read the classic witness to history: "The Rise and Fall of The Third Reich" by William Shirer for a lesson regarding the danger of an unbalanced minority demanding appeasement. A fine synopsis is here.

The Nazis never won an election in Germany and it is unlikely that they ever would. Yet, because they were successful in creating chaos and violence to further their political demands, Hitler was appointed Chancellor by President Hindenburg in a vain effort to appease his followers.

The lesson for our times? It would be a mistake in the extreme to appease those who continue to use extra-legal means to advance their political agenda. The unrelenting organized and systemic campaign of hate against the legitimate government of the United States endangers not only our nation's success in a time of war, but our representative form of government.

Seems those who talk loudest about Nazis have more in common with them than those they accuse. It would be a tragedy if they were to succeed.

Mike's America Year in Review: December 2004 to March 2005

While the one year blogaversary of Mike's America occured in November, year's end is perhaps a better time to reflect. Recently, I perused the archives of past months examining the common threads of our discussion here and will over the course of the next few days post some reminders, mostly photographs and videos to profile the year that was.

Readers Make The Difference

More important than the number of times the BBC, or the Washington Post links to Mike's America, the real honor for me is the dialogue, participation and contribution of so many of you kind readers. When this adventure began a year ago, there was an early attempt by the moonbat colonies to shout down and intimidate this discussion. Yet, seemingly out of nowhere, so many of you came to offer the balance and perspective that is more clearly representative of the American people.

I'm particularly grateful for those in the military, whether active duty or retired who have joined this discussion, and whose voices carry much more weight than the moonbats who have never served their country yet presume to speak for all of us on the life and death issues we now confront. Your continued participation in the year ahead will be crucial to securing our VICTORY in Iraq.

Mike's America 2005 Review

December 2004 found us talking about some of the same issues that continue to roil the political landscape a year later. The problem of Iran, Syria, or energy independence and ANWR are as unsettled as they were then. The campaign to outlaw Christianity was in full swing too.

One example: The story of the three bears at Prudhoe Bay in Alaska. Walking merrily along the heated oil pipeline, they apparently didn't get the memo from the Priests of the left's environmental religion which decree that wildlife would be traumatized by sensible oil production in the Arctic.

Mike's America in January focused on the second inauguration of President Bush as well as the astounding outpouring of support for democracy experienced in Iraq with the first of three elections.

A billboard outside the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, site of the Academy Awards, thanked the entertainment community for their help in proving why only Republicans could be trusted with the reigns of government in a time of war.

In the runup to the first Iraqi election at the end of January 2005, Senator Edward Kennedy (Defeaticrat-MA) said: "We are losing the hearts and minds of the Iraqi people." Oh really? Apparently the Iraqi citizen above didn't get the memo. Later in the year, Congressman Jack Murtha (Defeaticrat-PA) said just before the even larger outpouring of democratic support in December that the "Iraqi people have turned against us." Seems no matter how much progress there is in Iraq, no matter what good news, Defeaticrats in 2005 were comitted to seeing the dark lining to every silver cloud. Al Queda mastermind Zarqawi was no doubt pleased.

One of the most moving moments from February came during the State of the Union speech, when President Bush spoke of:

Safia Taleb al-Suhail (pictured foreground left in the House gallery with Mrs. Bush). She says of her country: 'We were occupied for 35 years by Saddam Hussein. That was the real occupation. Thank you to the American people who paid the cost but most of all to the soldiers.' Eleven years ago, Safia's father was assassinated by Saddam's intelligence service. Three days ago in Baghdad, Safia was finally able to vote for the leaders of her country. And we are honored that she is with us tonight.

One name we honor is Marine Corps Sgt. Byron Norwood of Pflugerville, Tex., who was killed during the assault on Falluja. His mom, Janet, sent me a letter and told me how much Byron loved being a Marine, and how proud he was to be on the front line against terror. She wrote: "When Byron was home the last time, I said that I wanted to protect him like I had since he was born. He just hugged me and said: 'You've done your job, Mom. Now it's my turn to protect you.'
Ladies and gentlemen, with grateful hearts, we honor freedom's defenders and our military families represented here this evening by Sergeant Norwood's mom and dad, Janet and Bill Norwood (pictured center).

There is no greater love than a man who lays down his life for his country and to protect the innocent. 2005 was a year to honor those who volunteer to undertake that solemn duty.

February 2005 also saw a Tsunami of hope and freedom emanating in the wake of the miracle of Iraq's first free election. Lebanese long oppressed by Syria rose up to demand their right to self determination and freedom.

Mike's America for March witnessed the Defeaticrat campaign continue to turn up the volume of bitterness and blind opposition. Howard Dean brought us his usual warmth by following up earlier comments that he "hates Republicans and everything they stand for" with a new twist: "This is a struggle of good and evil. And we're (Democrats) the good."

But even more telling were the remarks by former Clinton National Security Council member Nancy Soderberg: "Well, I think, you know, as a Democrat, you don't want anything nice to happen to the Republicans, and you don't want them to have progress.
She adds: "Well, there's still Iran and North Korea, don't forget. There's hope for the rest of us." While admitting that Bush might be on the right track she says: "He's gonna be a great--pretty soon, Republicans are gonna be like, 'Reagan was nothing compared to this guy.' Like, my kid's gonna go to a high school named after him, I just know it." But not wishing to totally depress the Daily Show viewers, she added: "There's always hope that this might not work."

The Defeaticrat theme spelled out by Senator Kennedy in January, seeped slowly into the soul of a once great political party. It's a theme that continues to buck the tide of history, hope and freedom.

Democrat Durbin blames 'right wing' - for Howard Dean's Mouth

I haven't commented on the demented politics of Democrat Party Chairman Howard Dean for a while. After all, his latest statements about Republicans being a party of "White Christians" just continues to reveal how completely devoid of ideas a Democrat Party motivated by hate and fear has become.

But it's really interesting that now Democrats in the Senate (who've got their own problem with civil rhetoric -- see above statements by Harry Reid) blame Dean's mouth on Republicans.

Readers may recall that following the 2004 election in which President Bush gained a substantial increase in the number of black, hispanic, women and Jewish voters, Democrats insisted that Bush had better come and work with them on THEIR agenda.

How anyone could expect a reasonable person to work with people who call you a lying, evil, white Christian is beyond me.

Durbin blames 'right wing' - The Washington Times: Nation/Politics - June 10, 2005: "The No. 2 Democrat in the Senate yesterday blamed 'the right wing' and elements of the press 'in service to it' for repeating Howard Dean's remarks about Republicans and inflating them out of proportion. 'I think we all understand what's happening with you all,' said Senate Minority Whip Richard J. Durbin, in remarks echoing Hillary Rodham Clinton's blaming a 'vast right-wing conspiracy' for her husband's legal-ethical woes.

Mr. Dean, who took over as chairman of the Democratic National Committee four months ago, has caused a stir with a string of public statements that he "hates the Republican Party and everything it stands for" and that its members are "liars," "evil," "corrupt" and "brain-dead."
