Hillary Clinton Comes Out in FAVOR of Appropriate Ground Zero Memorial

Readers on the Take Back the Memorial email list will have seen this already. But for those of you you haven't:

Hillary Clinton opposes the International Freedom Center, which proposed an Orwellian left wing freak show in the place where a memorial to the 9/11 atrocities belonged.

From the New York Post:
“I cannot support the IFC,” Clinton declared last night in a strongly worded statement in response to an inquiry from The Post.
[…]
“While I want to ensure that development and rebuilding in lower Manhattan move forward expeditiously, I am troubled by the serious concerns family members and first responders have expressed to me,” Clinton said.

“The LMDC [Lower Manhattan Development Corp.] has authority over the site and I do not believe we can move forward until it heeds and addresses their concerns.”

It's all part of her calculated plan to move to the right in advance of a likely presidential bid in 2008. Not sure how the looney tune lefties who control the Democrat Party nominating process will feel about having their beloved socialist clap-trap removed from center stage at Ground Zero. Stay tuned!
