Flag Day for McCain-Palin in Colorado

Republican campaign recycles flags thrown in the trash after Democrat Convention!

More than ten thousand Coloradans overflowed onto the tarmac with McCain One and Palin One campaign planes in the background at the airport in Colorado Springs on Saturday, September 6, 2008 as John McCain and Sarah Palin address the crowd. Overflow crowds of 10,000 or more have been common since the GOP team left the convention in Minneapolis.

Flags seen waving at the Colorado event were among the 12,000 recovered from the trash after the DNC convention's final night at Invesco Field in Denver (full story here).

In response to the uproar over Democrat's treatment of the flags, a spokesman for the DNC Convention claimed McCain "supporters wrongfully took leftover bundles of our flags from the stadium." This statement was contradicted by the person who found the flags and said "The flags were there for a week and a day and no one came looking for them."

And of course we've already linked to the Redstate post which shows flags mingled in the trash from the DNC meetings at the Pepsi Center earlier in the week. I suppose someone other than the garbage man was coming to pick those up too?

Meanwhile, Obama Continues Trash Talk on Palin

After the backlash which struck when the Obama campaign first ridiculed Palin as a small town Mayor, you would think they might be a bit more careful in unleashing further attacks which only seek to highlight once again Obama's lightweight resume. But then, you would think.

Obama accused Palin of just making it up when it comes to her record on reform. "You can’t just make stuff up. You can’t just make stuff up" Obama said about Palin's record on earmarks. Of course that simply draws attention to the earmarks he arranged to benefit the clients of Senator Biden's son R. Hunter Biden.
