Obama is used to getting softball celebrity questions. Interviews in which he's asked "is the campaign bus comfortable" are not uncommon. On September 11th when he should have been monitoring the Libyan/Egyptian crisis he was answering questions about football with "Pimp with a Limp." And of course who can forget the session with David Letterman where the TV host said to Obama "you haven't seen me naked."
But along comes an interview with Univision, the Spanish language network, in which interviewers repeatedly went after Obama for his broken promises and failed policies. On the Libya attack, Obama repeated the transparent lie that the silly Internet video was to blame, even though that phony cover story has completely unraveled. But never mind that. The lie won't be exposed since most of the media is still trying to make Romney look bad.
The big headline came when Obama admitted:
“I think that I’ve learned some lessons over the last four years and the most important lesson I’ve learned is that you can’t change Washington from the inside,” Obama said, appearing to admit his inability to fully deliver on one of the driving themes of his 2008 campaign. “You can only change it from the outside. That’s how I got elected. Is this what Obama meant when he proclaimed "We are the ones we have been waiting for". Remember that this was the guy who sold voters in 2008 on Hope and Change with chants of "YES WE CAN." Now, it's "NO WE CAN'T?"
It's an admission that Obama has failed and that the job is bigger than his ability to manage it and provide the leadership necessary to address the critical needs and challenges facing Americans today. Time for some REAL change. Vote Romney/Ryan!
