The San Jose Mercury News has the story of middle class Obama voters who just received their bills for the new insurance they are required to buy under ObamaCare. In one case, an individual policy costs $1800 a year more in another it's $10,000 more for a family.
They believed Obama when he repeatedly said "if you like your plan you can keep it." They believed Obama when he repeatedly said ObamaCare would lower premiums by $2500.
It's estimated there are up to 2 million policy holders in California in similar situations, tens of millions nationwide. Especially hard hit will be middle class families, the very group Obama repeatedly claims he wants to help.
We tried to warn them but they wouldn't listen. In the Mercury News story, Republicans were derided:
"I was laughing at Boehner -- until the mail came today," Waschura said, referring to House Speaker John Boehner, who is leading the Republican charge to defund Obamacare. At least this Obama voter now realizes who has been fighting on the side of the middle class and it's not Obama!
"I really don't like the Republican tactics, but at least now I can understand why they are so pissed about this. When you take $10,000 out of my family's pocket each year, that's otherwise disposable income or retirement savings that will not be going into our local economy."
