House Dems Double Down on Defeat with Re-election of Pelosi as Leader

Vicious cycle: The more they lose the more liberal they get and the more they lose!

Half of all Democrat seats in the U.S. House of Representatives come from only three states: California, New York and Massachusetts. Two thirds of Dem House seats are located along either the east or west coasts.

The map below shows how isolated to big cities the Democrat Party has become in the U.S. House:

House Dems doubled down on defeat by electing Nancy Pelosi once again to be there leader. Pelosi, along with Obama, has presided over the near collapse of Democrats in middle America. She is a San Francisco elitist clearly out of touch with the concerns of mainstream America. Her re-election signals Dems haven't learned a thing from the huge shift in party control at the state level.

Consider this map showing party control in the states after the 2016 election. States were GOP has total control of the governor's office and state legislature means they have total power to redistrict congressional seats after the 2020 census. Dems will continue to milk their advantage along the coast but will increasingly be noncompetitive in the rest of the country.

The smart plan would be for Dems to reach out to middle America and former enclaves of Democrat voter support. But in the 2016 election they did the opposite by appealing to their hard left base on the coasts and big cities and ignoring rural Democrat voters. This was also evident in the presidential election where Hillary Clinton did not even campaign in Wisconsin yet now supports a recall after she lost?

With Dems led exclusively by hard left ideologues like Pelosi Their parties electoral reach will continue to shrink. And they will blame everyone and everything but themselves!
