In the wake of these mounting attacks in Europe you can count on two things: 1. There will be a very nice floral tribute where people will light candles and leave notes of sympathy and 2. Authorities will bend over backwards to downplay or deny the link to Islam.
Here's one of the floral tributes in the exact spot where I stood just weeks ago:
More at the Daily Mail.
Meanwhile, British authorities continue to ignore the obvious signs that led the radicalized Khalid Masood to launch his attack. As Katie Hopkins at the Daily Mail points out: "what happened in prison for him to go in as Adrian Ajou in 2003 and come out as Khalid Masood in 2005? She is one of the few asking that and other tough questions. Instead of answer her questions, there is a move to charge Hopkins with hate crimes for daring to raise the issue of the Islamic enemy within.
Many of Britain's politically correct seem to have more trouble with the people daring to point out the problem than they do with the source of these mounting attacks. Question them and you're a racist guilty of hate crimes.
Consider this report from 2011:
I have just returned to London, where I have lived since I was 11. I have been away for four years, living as an ethnic minority in a monocultural part of the world, amassing a host of stories to tell to disbelieving friends. On the whole, I am glad to return. I shan't miss some locals' assumptions that, being a white woman, if I was outside after dark, as I occasionally was, usually to walk the few metres between my house and the church, I must be a prostitute eager to give them a blow job. I shan't miss the abuse my priest husband received: the daubing of "Dirty white dogs" in red paint on the church door, the barrage of stones thrown at him by children shouting "Satan". He was called a "f***ing white bastard" more than once, though, notably, never when in a cassock. I will also not miss the way our garden acted as the local rubbish dump, with items ranging from duvets and TV sets, to rats (dead or twitching) glued to cardboard strips, a popular local method of vermin control to stem the large numbers of them which scuttled between the rubbish piled in gardens and on pavements. Yes, I am very glad to have left Britain's second city. The writer, a Vicar's wife, goes on to describe how sections of Birmingham have been transformed into ghettos of radical Islam breeding crime and terror. Read the rest of it. It's eye opening. So naturally, the writer was attacked as a racist.
Another worrying aspect of the problem is the infiltration of schools in Birmingham and elsewhere by Islamic radicals. Schools dominated by Muslims quickly become centers for indoctrination. If you think it can't happen in the U.S. it already is. Public schools who would never allow Christians to preach are including Islam in the curriculum. Anyone who objects is labeled as Islamophobic.
British authorities may be putting a brave face on following the latest attack. One reaction has been to put up more barriers around tourist attractions like Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle. Sadly, they are doing little to address the underlying cause of these attacks. You will never have enough barriers or cops to stop all the attacks. Failure to deal with the underlying cause means the carnage will continue!
