Smoking Gun Proof Dems Acted to Spy on Trump

They even bragged about it!

While there is absolutely NO EVIDENCE presented of any collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian officials, there was a clear violation of federal law when classified information about Trump's former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn was leaked to the press.

Based on that fact, we learned that there was surveillance of Trump campaign officials and that this information was illegally distributed.

Not that this is news. The New York Times reported it on March 1:

NY Times: In the Obama administration’s last days, some White House officials scrambled to spread information about Russian efforts to undermine the presidential election — and about possible contacts between associates of President-elect Donald J. Trump and Russians — across the government.

But even that report doesn't describe the extent of what the Obama team was doing and why. Little noticed at the time (who watches MSNBC anyway?) a segment on Morning Joe featuring a former Obama official in the Department of Defense sheds new light:

FARKAS: “I was urging my former colleagues and frankly speaking the people on the [Capitol] Hill…it was more actually aimed at telling the Hill people to get as much information as you can, get as much intelligence as you can before President Obama leaves the administration because I had a fear that somehow that information would disappear with the senior [Obama] people who left, so it would be hidden away in the bureaucracy.

FARKAS: “I feared if they [Trump team] found out how we knew what we knew about the Trump’s staff dealing with Russians that they would try to compromise those sources and methods, meaning we would know longer have access to that intelligence.”

FARKAS: “So I became very worried because not enough was coming out into the open, and I knew that there was more. We have very good intelligence on Russia. So then I had talked to some of my former colleagues and I knew that they were also trying to help get information to the [Capitol] Hill.”

MIKA: A lot going on today…

FARKAS: “That’s why you have the leaking.”

A clear admission that intelligence was spread and leaked in what may be a criminal conspiracy.

So, now that it's been reported and confirmed by this participant in the conspiracy isn't it time Democrats "on the Hill" come clean and admit they received classified intelligence and that it was illegally unmasked and leaked? No wonder Democrats seem so desperate to change the subject and attack anyone, like House Intelligence Committee Chairman Nunes, who begins to reveal the extent of this criminal activity.
