Kate Steinle. 32 when she was killed by an illegal alien with multiple felony convictions but was shielded from deportation by sanctuary city policies in San Francisco. |
Not only do Democrats defend criminal illegals, they brag about it and perversely claim they are trying to help people. Read the counterpoint in this story about the Mayor of Oakland California:
LA Times: ICE's acting director, Thomas D. Homan, blasted Schaaf."Safer when families stay together?" Tell that to the parents whose children died at the hands of illegal aliens.
"The Oakland mayor's decision to publicize her suspicions about ICE operations further increased that risk for my officers and alerted criminal aliens — making clear that this reckless decision was based on her political agenda with the very federal laws that ICE is sworn to uphold," Homan said in a statement on Tuesday.
Speaking on "Fox and Friends," Homan added that the mayor's warning helped an estimated 800 "criminal aliens" avoid capture. He also said federal authorities were examining her actions.
"What she did is no better than a gang lookout yelling 'police' when a police cruiser comes in the neighborhood, except she did it to a whole community. This is beyond the pale," he said.
Schaaf stood by her decision.
"My statement on Saturday was meant to give all residents time to learn their rights and know their legal options," Schaaf said Tuesday in a statement. "It was my intention that one mother, or one father, would use the information to help keep their family together.
"I do not regret sharing this information. It is Oakland's legal right to be a sanctuary city and we have not broken any laws. We believe our community is safer when families stay together," she said in a statement.
800 wanted criminal escaped. ICE was able to arrest 232.
ICE: During the operation, ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) arrested 232 individuals for violating U.S. immigration laws. Of those arrested, 180 were either convicted criminals, had been issued a final order of removal and failed to depart the United States, or had been previously removed from the United States and returned illegally. 115 had prior felony convictions for serious or violent offenses, such as child sex crimes, weapons charges, and assault, or had past convictions for significant or multiple misdemeanors.Perhaps one of the CNN reporters who have the Parkland shooting victims on speed dial would like to ask the students how they feel about letting people go who have been found guilty of child sex crimes and gun violations?
This fall, American voters who are not illegal aliens (this might preclude states like Pennsylvania with a large number of illegals on the voting rolls) have the opportunity to send Democrats a message: put the lives of American citizens over criminal illegals FIRST!
Democrats choose killer over Kate. Remember Kate in November! |
