Dems Stall on Examining Kavanaugh Accuser: Put Her UNDER OATH and Prosecute if Perjurious

UPDATE: SMEAR EXPOSED.  See below.

The whole thing stinks.  An obvious and transparent smear!

Bill Clinton was credibly accused by Kathleen Willey of groping her just outside the Oval Office and we were told it was his "private life."  He lied to a federal judge about sex with Monica Lewinsky and Dems said "everybody lies."  Numerous other allegations and all dismissed by the same people who think that an uncorroborated allegation against Judge Kavanaugh dating back to high school 36 years ago should bar him from a seat on the Supreme Court.

The accuser in the Kavanaugh smear even hired an attorney, Debra Katz, famous for supporting liberal men accused of unwanted sexual advances including Clinton and Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) who was accused by multiple women of misconduct while a sitting U.S. Senator. Hypocrisy runs rampant throughout this smear!

What we know about Christine Blasey Ford, the accuser, is that she is a Trump hating political activist just like her attorney. She's engaged in multiple protests against Trump (1,2). She's also a Democrat donor:
Ford has also been very busy erasing her social media links.  Why?  Do they show exactly why she might be motivated to engage in this kind of last minute character assassination?
We also know that Senator Feinstein sat on the accusation for months waiting for this precise moment. There was no questioning of Kavanaugh about the charges in public or private meetings during the confirmation process. More than anything else this is the indication of a planned and coordinated smear.

Tim Carney at the Washington Examiner ponders The long silences of Christine Blasey Ford and Dianne Feinstein with these three points:

  1. Feinstein found Ford's charges not credible. Perhaps Feinstein knows something we don't, and has concluded this accusation isn't true.
  2. Feinstein found Ford's charges not relevant. Perhaps Feinstein believes that whatever happened amounts not to a serious crime of moral turpitude, but to a horrible idiotic youthful mistake.
  3. Feinstein was always planning on saving the letter for as late as possible for tactical purposes.
Meawhile, Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth "Fauxcahontas" Warren (D) is using the smear to raise money.  How typical.  Create a scandal then profit by it.  I guess they learned that trick from the great global warming swindle.

Dems Not Cooperating with Judiciary Committee Investigation

The final nail in the coffin of this obvious smear is the refusal of Democrats to cooperate with Republicans on a plan to investigate the charges:
Grassley Statement on the Supreme Court Nomination
Sep 17, 2018

“Anyone who comes forward as Dr. Ford has deserves to be heard, so I will continue working on a way to hear her out in an appropriate, precedented and respectful manner.

“The standard procedure for updates to any nominee’s background investigation file is to conduct separate follow-up calls with relevant parties. In this case, that would entail phone calls with at least Judge Kavanaugh and Dr. Ford. Consistent with that practice, I asked Senator Feinstein’s office yesterday to join me in scheduling these follow-ups. Thus far, they have refused. But as a necessary step in evaluating these claims, I’ll continue working to set them up.

“Unfortunately, committee Republicans have only known this person's identity from news reports for less than 24 hours and known about her allegations for less than a week. Senator Feinstein, on the other hand, has had this information for many weeks and deprived her colleagues of the information necessary to do our jobs. The Minority withheld even the anonymous allegations for six weeks, only to later decide that they were serious enough to investigate on the eve of the committee vote, after the vetting process had been completed.

“It’s deeply disturbing that the existence of these allegations were leaked in a way that seemed to preclude Dr. Ford’s confidentiality.

“Over my nearly four decades in the Senate I have worked diligently to protect whistleblowers and get to the bottom of any issue. Dr. Ford’s attorney could have approached my office, while keeping her client confidential and anonymous, so that these allegations could be thoroughly investigated. Nevertheless, we are working diligently to get to the bottom of these claims.”
Funny how when this story first came out we were told the accuser wished to remain anonymous and 48 hours later everyone knew who she was. I guess Dems figured out the anonymous charges were not going to be enough so they tossed Christine Blasey Ford onto the fire.

In the Washington Post story which revealed Ford's identity this stands out:
After so many years, Ford said, she does not remember some key details of the incident. She said she believes it occurred in the summer of 1982, when she was 15, around the end of her sophomore year at the all-girls Holton-Arms School in Bethesda. Kavanaugh would have been 17 at the end of his junior year at Georgetown Prep.
...
Ford said she does not remember how the gathering came together the night of the incident. She said she often spent time in the summer at the Columbia Country Club pool in Chevy Chase, where in those pre-cellphone days, teenagers learned about gatherings via word of mouth. She also doesn’t recall who owned the house or how she got there.
...
Ford said that on the night of the party, she left the family room to use the bathroom, which was at the top of a narrow stairway. She doesn’t remember whether Kavanaugh and Judge were behind her or already upstairs, but she remembers being pushed into a bedroom and then onto a bed. Rock-and-roll music was playing with the volume turned up high, she said.
No court of law would ever accept such vague testimony and Ford's hazy recollection stands in stark contrast to the reports of women who were raped and remember every detail as they relived the horror over and over. Yet we are supposed to derail the nomination of a Justice to the U.S. Supreme Court on the basis of clearly flawed recollections? I don't think so.

Other women have come forward to vouch for the probity of Judge Kavanaugh. 65 women who have known or worked with Kavanaugh for many years, including some from his high school years, have written to attest to his character. But the Dems who insist that the accuser must be heard are either ignoring or attacking these women. War on women? You betcha!

Listen to Sen. Susan Collins

Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) has been the target of threats and abuse, including a large phallic object sent to her office. If she were a Democrat the media would be declaring this as evidence of a war on women. Apparently, it's OK to abuse Republican women. Just ask Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, Homeland Security's Kirstjen Nielsen or White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders. They and many more Republican women have been targeted for harassment and threats by Democrats. Sen. Collins has a good idea to get to the bottom of this mess:
Put Ford under oath. If she's found to be lying, then prosecute her for perjury and crimes against democracy. This smear could not be more obvious or transparent!

UPDATE: SMEAR EXPOSED:  Accuser refuses to testify until an FBI investigation!

Well, that didn't take long did it?  Christine Blasey Ford failed to respond to multiple communications from Senate Judiciary Committee staff to arrange for her appearance at a hearing next Monday. Instead, one of her attorney's appeared on CNN claiming that Ford demanded an FBI investigation into her allegations first.  Attorney Lisa Banks said "“Any talk of a hearing on Monday frankly is premature because she just came forward with these allegations 48 hours ago." Except that Ford first raised the issue in a letter in July which Democrats have had in their possession since then.

There is no justification for a further FBI investigation of Kavanaugh. He has been the subject of multiple FBI investigations for previous posts and before his nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court. This call for a further investigation is another obvious and transparent attempt to delay the nomination and smear Kavanaugh. Furthermore, the FBI has no jurisdiction to investigate a crime that MAY have happened 36 years ago and which is not a federal crime.

On Monday, Democrats demanded that Ford must be heard. Now, not so much.

Of course none of this matters to Democrats who have rushed to the nearest microphone to insist that Ford "must be believed" and that Kavanaugh must be presumed guilty. But they deny this same standard to the many, MANY women who accuse Democrats of sexual misconduct. So many recent examples point to the fact that Democrats only believe women if the accused is a Republican.  Otherwise, watch out. They will smear, destroy and threaten any woman who accuses a Democrat.

There we go. Another open and shut case of lies and character assassination and not a damn thing to do with justice for wronged women. And you thought confirmations to the U.S. Supreme Court were about legal qualifications!
