One of the clowns even tried it here at Mike's America!
I was watching Trump's campaign rally in Ohio on Friday where he praised General Ulysses S. Grant who was born near where the rally was held. Unfortunately, if you didn't see the entire context of Trump's remarks you might have thought he was praising someone else. Take a look:
WATCH: President Trump says "Robert E. Lee was a great general" during Ohio rally, calling the Confederate leader "incredible." pic.twitter.com/HhsLI1Mk05— NBC News (@NBCNews) October 13, 2018
Of course Lee was a great general. There is no dispute about that but Trump wasn't praising Lee. NBC took TWO DAYS to make the correction:
CORRECTION: An earlier tweet misidentified the general President Trump described as "incredible" at a rally in Ohio. It was Gen. Ulysses S. Grant, not Gen. Robert E. Lee. An attached video clip lacked the full context for Trump's remark. Here is the full clip. pic.twitter.com/NZHj3Q2dHL— NBC News (@NBCNews) October 14, 2018
Thousands more saw the original report than ever saw the correction. Over 17 million hits on Google most of which reflect the FAKE NEWS and not the truth. The FAKE NEWS is now passed off as truth no matter what the TWO DAY LATE correction said!
Reminds me of what Winston Churchill said:
Of course we are not allowed to cite Churchill anymore because some left wing fools think Churchill was a racist guilty of atrocities. Just ask astronaut Scott Kelly why he needs to be "educated" in one of those left wing hate camps. Churchill saved the modern free world from destruction only to be sidelined by left wing politically correct censors. Maybe we should find a similar quote from Lenin or Mao. Would that be more acceptable?
