As of 2 PM Wednesday Hurricane Dorian was offshore of Jacksonville, Florida with a storm track that should keep it offshore along the coast of South Carolina. Mike's America is on the coast at the South Carolina/Georgia border. Even though the storm is forecast to remain offshore for my area we do expect winds up to 50-60 miles an hour with rain between 6-10 inches.#Dorian is located east of Jacksonville, Florida on the 2 pm advisory. Hurricane Warnings continue for the coasts of South and North Carolina. Preparations should be rushed to completion in those areas. Dorian is significantly weaker after it stalled over the Bahamas and spared Florida. No severe impact is expected in this area where it is currently cloudy with intermittent light rain and low winds.
We are at the end of an historic low cycle for hurricane activity along the Atlantic coast. So much for global warming. I guess that's why the government's most accurate temperature network shows no warming over that same period.
