NASA's Exploding Rocket a Metaphor for Obama Presidency.

This election may see Obama's presidency go up in smoke!

To that long list of Obama disasters and screw ups we can add this image of NASA's Antares rocket exploding seconds after take off Tuesday night:

A bad sign for Obama and Democrat's future?

Granted, Obama isn't personally responsible for the rocket's failure, but along with the explosion of ISIS, the debacle of the ObamaCare web site, the Veterans Administration scandal, Secret Service bungling, and Ebola missteps it's clear that Obama can't seem to get anything done right. Not even a rocket!

Dems Resort to Racist Appeals for Black Vote While Some Blacks Realize Dems Don't Deserve Their Support

"The biggest threat to the future of our children and grandchildren is the poison of identity politics that preaches that our differences are far more important than our common humanity." Bill Clinton, October 26, 2014

Blacks who want a future begin to look towards GOP solutions!

We know Democrats will say anything to get elected but this is a new low. In North Carolina, the following flyer showing the body of a dead black man after being lynched was plastered on the windshields of cars at a black church during Sunday services:

In Georgia, the state Democrat Party used pictures of black children carrying signs in Ferguson, Missouri protesting the shooting of Michael Brown:

And as if that wasn't enough Democrats in Maryland used a montage of racially charged images in their handout:

Imagine for a moment the national outrage if a Republican put out a flyer with a racial appeal to white voters. But when Democrats do these things to scare up (literally) turn out among black voters there's hardly a peep.

Not all Blacks are falling for the scam!

You look around at the black community today with the lack of jobs, violence, crime and disintegration of the family all happening after trillions spent on federal programs and elected black officials running many big cities like Detroit into the ground and you have to wonder when blacks are going to wake up and realize Democrats are not their friends.

Some of them clearly have reached that conclusion. These community activists (not organizers) in Chicago have figured it out. Take a listen:

MCKINLEY: (music/outdoor noise) Black folks is in a abusive black-leadership relationship.

CARTER: We have to send a message; this is the time for us to send a message.

WATKINS: We're always talking about what the Republicans ain't done for us, or what they will do to hurt us. My life has been hurt by Democrats.

WARD: And we got in our mind that we always got to keep voting Democrat. You know?

MCKINLEY: Look and see in your community. Who are the real oppressors in our community? They always talk about black-on-black crime, and when you hear the words "black-on-black crime" the first thing you think of is a black man robbing you or a black man breaking in your house, and that is a black-on-black crime. But let's take it one step further. There's a black-on-black crime in down in City Hall. There's a black-on-black crime down in all the state capitals in America where black folks are voting against our interests, where black folks are voting and making us poorer. We're getting poorer and poorer, and other groups are getting richer and richer!

WARD: Everywhere you go there's poverty in black areas.

WATKINS: This lot where I stand at right now ought to be housing, public housing for people to live in. Most of the people are homeless, living in the street, and it's because of you, Mr. President.

MCKINLEY: (music/outdoor noise) In Detroit, where your leaders at? There's no white folks running Detroit, cutting water on black folks in Detroit! Them black folks running that city! There ain't no white folks doing that. Them black folks going along with that. Everything that's happing in our community (siren) is black leadership doing this.

WATKINS: Our children know that if the Democrats have not done anything for us as of yet, why should they even go out and vote? What agenda's on the table that's going to change their lives?

MCKINLEY: The only thing they're offering the black community is abortion on demand. This is what the president is asking us to vote for.

CARTER: Now he wants to have this conversation about a minimum wage raise because he knows this is the way to get a lot of the poor people's attention. But to hell with his minimum wage raise! We don't have any jobs. A minimum wage raise for what?

MCKINLEY: They're not pushing a black agenda. They're not pushing a family agenda. They're pushing a neo-liberal agenda.

CARTER: Across this city in these major Democratic cities, this is what it looks like.

WARD: (music/outdoor noise) How can the same process happen over and over again and nobody can do nothing about it?

MCKINLEY: Black leadership is abusing us. The Democratic Party is abusing us.

WARD: Its the same way in every black community across the country.

CARTER: And they force us into a life of welfare. We don't want no welfare! We want opportunities to go to work. We want opportunities to own businesses. They bailed out all of the major banks and these big investors, but left the people starving.

MCKINLEY: There are no Tea Parties in your city. We don't have those people.

CARTER: We have a major Democratic machine -- and the majority of them, they look like me! These are the people who make sure we get nothing, but then turn around and have us vote for them again.

WARD: They only come around when its time for elections, when they think they can give you a toy or give you a turkey or something and everything is good.

CARTER: (music/outdoor noise) Hundreds of millions of dollars are coming down from the federal government, but the money is going to all these special interest groups. My Brother's Keeper went to [Obama's] friends, this whole corrupt Democratic system that gobbles up all the dollars and starves the people out. Can you all look around your community and see any changes that have come about with these hundreds of billions of dollars that have come through our cities? No you cannot. What we do see is our elected officials riding around in new cars and they have new homes.

MCKINLEY: When our people don't have jobs in our communities, when we don't have any vital resources -- when all the deals have been cut and all our people are left out -- this is where we end up.

WARD: And we got the most important thing that we got. We can stop all this. Everybody's gotta vote, and if you use your vote wisely, you can stop a lot of this stuff.
To paraphrase, it isn't the Tea Party or the Republican Party that is keeping black folks down. It's Democrats who enrich themselves and their friends at the expense of the black middle and lower classes.

I hope these guys keep an eye on their backs. You can't diss the Dem machine, particularly in a place like Chicago and get away with it. Bad things have a habit of happening to people who get out of line. The Democrat plantation masters will lynch anyone who dares to speak the truth!

UPDATE: Dems threaten to tell your neighbors if blacks don't vote!

This is disturbing. A letter from the North Carolina Democrat Party sent primarily to black voters:
The voter survey letter says "public records will tell the community at-large whether you vote or not. As a service, our organization monitors turnout in your community, and it would be an understatement to say that we are disappointed by the inconsistent voting of many of your neighbors."
...
"If you do not vote this year, we will be interested to hear why not," the letter says.
Looks like Dems are getting ready to blame blacks for expected losses on Tuesday!

Wash. Post: Study Says Tens of Thousands of Illegal Votes are Cast by Non-Citizens

Add to that voting by felons and vote fraud and elections are being stolen!

This is stunning. From the Washington Post:
Could non-citizens decide the November election?
...
How many non-citizens participate in U.S. elections? More than 14 percent of non-citizens in both the 2008 and 2010 samples indicated that they were registered to vote. Furthermore, some of these non-citizens voted. Our best guess, based upon extrapolations from the portion of the sample with a verified vote, is that 6.4 percent of non-citizens voted in 2008 and 2.2 percent of non-citizens voted in 2010.

Because non-citizens tended to favor Democrats (Obama won more than 80 percent of the votes of non-citizens in the 2008 CCES sample), we find that this participation was large enough to plausibly account for Democratic victories in a few close elections. Non-citizen votes could have given Senate Democrats the pivotal 60th vote needed to overcome filibusters in order to pass health-care reform and other Obama administration priorities in the 111th Congress. Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) won election in 2008 with a victory margin of 312 votes. Votes cast by just 0.65 percent of Minnesota non-citizens could account for this margin. It is also possible that non-citizen votes were responsible for Obama’s 2008 victory in North Carolina. Obama won the state by 14,177 votes, so a turnout by 5.1 percent of North Carolina’s adult non-citizens would have provided this victory margin.
Of course Democrats are doing everything they can to block Voter ID laws and attempts by some states to purge voter roles of ineligible voters. You can bet that if these illegal voters were pulling the lever for Republicans their position would be reversed!

Major News Networks Cover Up for Obama and Dems AGAIN!

When Bush was in trouble they never stopped telling us. When it's Obama, they hardly mention a word!

A big election is coming. It may change the way Washington works and will certainly exercise a profound influence on politics during the next two years. But somehow, the Big Three news networks don't think it's newsworthy. When Bush was in trouble in 2006 it was quite another matter. This chart says it all:

Full story at Washington Examiner.

You wonder why the average man in the street doesn't know what's going on? This might be the answer!

GOP Has a Narrow Edge in Bid to Retake the Senate

However, polling analysis combined with strength of Democrats ground game tamps down prediction for larger win!

Here's the Wednesday, October 22 Real Clear Politics (RCP) Senate election map:

Note that 9 seats are rated as "tossups" with polling averages within the margin of error. First, a note about polling averages. RCP takes all recent polls for a particular race and averages them together. It's like comparing apples and oranges since each poll uses a different method but it does give a good overview of a race. A better indicator might be a poll taken at several points during the campaign showing a trend towards or against a particular candidate provided that poll's methodology is accurate. But for the purposes of our discussion here we will use the RCP averages.

For Republicans to take control of the U.S. Senate they need at least five of the tossup seats. Three of those, KY,KS,GA are already in Republicans hands but still too close to call. Let's review all the tossups with the polling averages for the GOP candidate. Click each link for the latest polling for that race:

AK:Sullivan 4.4
CO: Gardner 4.4 Dem machine and vote fraud w/ mail in ballots makes this race problematic.
GA Perdue -0.2 trending towards the Democrat Nunn.
IA Ernst 2.5
KS Roberts TIE. No polls from the last ten days.
KY McConnell 4.4
LA Cassidy 4.8
NH Brown -2.6
NC Tillis -2

In both Georgia and Louisiana a runoff is required between the top two vote getters if no candidate reaches above 50%. It's likely that this will happen.

Voting analyst Sean Trende calculates that candidates with a positive polling number two weeks prior to an election have a better than even chance to win. For the most part I would agree. But Trende's analysis fails to take into account the Democrat vote machine operating in some of these states. Over the years I have repeatedly warned about the efficacy of the Dems voter turnout machine and this year is no different.  Highlighting the problem is this October 19 National Journal report from Iowa:
BALLOT CHASING

On a recent Wednesday, more than two dozen Democratic activists in Des Moines were dialing for Braley alongside Wadden. There weren't enough tables and chairs in the field office, so some of the younger volunteers sat cross-legged on the floor, phones pressed to their ears. In a quieter corner, two legally blind volunteers were making calls together; their service dog, Amber, milled about the office.

Democrats have 35 of these field offices across the state; Republicans have only 13 (not counting local organizations).

Iowa is one of the first states to begin voting, back in late September. Its election rules also allow for so-called ballot chasing—party officials or volunteers physically gathering ballots from voters to turn them in. It's a setup that benefits the best-organized campaigns.

Both parties have tussled who has a superior early-vote operation this year. Democrats boast that they are mobilizing people who would otherwise not have voted, pointing to unusually high numbers of voters who didn't cast a ballot in the last midterm. "We are literally expanding the electorate," brags Christina Freundlich, communications director for the Iowa Democratic Party.

Of the Republicans, Braley says, "If you just are targeting voters, to get them to vote early, who would have voted on Election Day, that's not how you're going to win this race."

National Democratic operatives say that Iowa is one of the states where the much-ballyhooed $60 million get-out-the-vote operation dubbed the "Bannock Street Project" will make the most difference. (Colorado is another.)

The fact that the Iowa race is within the margin of error in most polls heightens the importance of field operations.

Both sides acknowledge that Republicans were late to the ground game in Iowa, by not recognizing in previous cycles the importance of securing votes ahead of Election Day. "They are at the point now of realizing that early vote is the way to go. We're just a few cycles ahead of them on that," Freundlich says. "Every day is an election day. Election Day is just the last day to vote."
Boots on the ground means votes and for some reason the GOP still refuses to learn the lessons of 2006, 2008 and 2012. Even in 2010 the GOP lost several close races where the candidate was ahead. Harry Reid would no longer be majority leader if the GOP had equaled the Dems organizing effort in Nevada.

My own view is that any state where the GOP candidate is less than 4 points ahead of the Dem candidate there is reason for worry. Less than 2 points in states where the Dem machine is particularly strong and the GOP candidate may be in trouble. Taking all that into consideration I have utilized RCP's "create your own map" feature for Senate elections (and invite you to do the same) and came up with this likely scenario:

The shaky bets for my map are GA and KS. However, it's possible that if a larger wave favoring the GOP develops the GOP will secure CO and NC. Winning NH would be icing on the cake!

The bottom line is that the GOP is likely to retake control of the U.S. Senate. What's left to be determined is by how much and how many seats we might have won if we matched the Democrats ground game!

Obama Tells Dems Up for Election It's OK to Lie

OBAMA: "Do what you need to do to win.!"

In Wednesday's editorial the New York Times says Democrats in close Senate elections are "in a panic" and doing everything they can to deny links to Obama's failing policies. That includes refusing to admit they voted for Obama and among incumbents, trying to walk away from their strong support for Obama over the past few years.

When Obama was asked if this denial hurts him he said he understands:
OBAMA: "“The bottom line is, though, these are all folks who vote with me; they have supported my agenda in Congress. So this isn’t about my feelings being hurt. These are folks who are strong allies and supporters of me…I tell them…you do what you need to do to win."
I wonder if that "do what you need to do to win" is the reason vote fraud in Colorado is being encouraged by Democrat groups?

We have to thank Obama for his frankness. It is true that a vote for any of these Democrats up for election is a vote for Obama. Voters should not be fooled into thinking otherwise!

New Information on Michael Brown Autopsy Confirms Police Officer Wilson's Report

Brown attempted to take Wilson's gun and was not surrendering with his hands up. Also, had recent pot intake in his system!

Earlier I posted on forensic and Officer Wilson's reports which showed Brown was the aggressor in the Ferguson shooting. Now this:
The Post-Dispatch also had three experts examine the official autopsy.
St. Louis medical examiner Dr. Michael Graham says the report supports claims that there was a “significant struggle” in Wilson’s patrol car, and Brown suffered a hand wound at “relatively short range.”

A forensic pathologist from San Francisco, Dr. Judy Melinek, says based on a bullet wound to Brown’s arm, Brown’s palms could not have been facing Wilson in the standard surrender position – with hands up and palms out – when he was shot, and Brown was falling forward or lunging when he was hit by the fatal shot to the top of his head.

Based on toxicology tests, Ohio State University College of Pharmacy consultant Alfred Staubus concludes Brown had used marijuana within a few hours of his death, but it is not clear if he was impaired at the time.
I'd like to know why it took so long to get this information to the public. I never believed that Officer Wilson killed Michael Brown "execution style" as many in Ferguson's black community insist. But then, people who are of that view are unlikely to be swayed by the evidence or objective experts. They continue to threaten "the wrath of God's vengeance" if Wilson isn't tried for murder and convicted.

The real injustice here is the lynching of Officer Wilson!

Caption This: Obama in a Hazmat Suit

Have a little fun with the beleaguered, incompetent President!

Got the following image from a great column by Michael Goodwin in the New York Post titled "A Toxic President." Goodwin opens by saying:
Chalk it up to karma, fate or bad luck. Whatever you call it, the Ebola scare is proof that Bad Things Happen to Bad Presidents.
...
In this case, X stands for trust.
President Obama has spent six years squandering it, and the administration’s confusion, contradictions and mistakes on Ebola fit the pattern. This is how he rolls.

My suggested caption: "Will this protect me from my own incompetence."

I'm wondering if someone won't come up with an image showing Dem candidates for Senate wearing Hazmat suits before going anywhere near Obama.

One more thing, Hillary's flying monkeys are back just in time for Halloween!

Get your tee shirt here.

UPDATE: People walk out on Obama as he speaks during campaign stop in Maryland. They must have worried about catching Obola. He's toxic!

Women voters abandoning Obama. Tina Brown concludes Obama makes women "feel unsafe." So much for the GOP war on women!

Here's a Shock: ObamaCare Discourages People from Getting Required and Routine Care

They have insurance but they can't afford to use it!

From the NY Times:
Unable to Meet the Deductible or the Doctor

Patricia Wanderlich got insurance through the Affordable Care Act this year, and with good reason: She suffered a brain hemorrhage in 2011, spending weeks in a hospital intensive care unit, and has a second, smaller aneurysm that needs monitoring.

But her new plan has a $6,000 annual deductible, meaning that Ms. Wanderlich, who works part time at a landscaping company outside Chicago, has to pay for most of her medical services up to that amount. She is skipping this year’s brain scan and hoping for the best.

“To spend thousands of dollars just making sure it hasn’t grown?” said Ms. Wanderlich, 61. “I don’t have that money.”

About 7.3 million Americans are enrolled in private coverage through the Affordable Care Act marketplaces, and more than 80 percent qualified for federal subsidies to help with the cost of their monthly premiums. But many are still on the hook for deductibles that can top $5,000 for individuals and $10,000 for families — the trade-off, insurers say, for keeping premiums for the marketplace plans relatively low. The result is that some people — no firm data exists on how many — say they hesitate to use their new insurance because of the high out-of-pocket costs.
Thanks Obama!

First Job of Obama's Ebola "Czar" is to Protect Obama, NOT the American People

Selection of a long time Democrat political operative reveals Obama's real purpose in appointment!

After an initial fumbling response President Bush sought to calm hysterics after the Katrina disaster by sending in General Russel Honore, who famously told reporters "don't get stuck on stupid." Honore's leadership went a great way to resolve the tense situation.

So, one would think that with increasing fears of an Ebola crisis Obama might select someone outside his own circle who had the leadership skills and the GRAVITAS to calm fears and instill confidence that the nation's public health system can address the crisis. If you thought that, you would be wrong.

Obama appointed a Democrat insider, V.P. Joe Biden's former Chief of Staff and long time Democrat political operative Ron Klain. It's as if Obama must think all the insider advice he gets from the "faculty lounge" White House staff has been successful despite evidence that's clear for all to see. Appointing a political person is also a sign that Obama sees this problem not in terms of public health but with the same short term political considerations that have proved to be such a disaster in both foreign and domestic policy.

White House defenders point to Klain's role in managing the nearly $1 Trillion Stimulus bill as if money doled out to Obama cronies like Solyndra and others, which failed to generate jobs for Americans, is something to brag about.

Here's Charles Krauthamer's take:
It's a PR move from beginning to end. It gives the appearance and motion, this is what Obama specializes in. You have a VA scandal, an IRS scandal, a Secret Service scandal, you fire a guy at the top so you have the appearance of motion. Here you're putting a guy in who is supposedly going to coordinate.

There's a quote in the New York Times about what [Ron] Klain would do, he said his job is messaging, so we have a virus on the loose that turns your organs into liquid and the answer is to appoint a guy to do the messaging. This is like Obama saying, "Oh, yes, all hell is breaking loose all over the world, but this is because of social media, Twitter, and Facebook all of us are more aware of it."
Putting politics over policy is always a bad decision. In the case of Ebola, it could have deadly consequences!

Finally, Facts in the Other Side of Ferguson, MO. Shooting Case Come Out

Sadly, too many have already made up their minds that the cop is at fault for shooting Michael Brown!

We all know the story that the racebaiters want you to believe. Now, the other side of the story is coming out, MONTHS LATE. A report from the New York Times:
The police officer who fatally shot Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo., two months ago has told investigators that he was pinned in his vehicle and in fear for his life as he struggled over his gun with Mr. Brown, according to government officials briefed on the federal civil rights investigation into the matter.

The officer, Darren Wilson, has told the authorities that during the scuffle, Mr. Brown reached for the gun. It was fired twice in the car, according to forensics tests performed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The first bullet struck Mr. Brown in the arm; the second bullet missed.

The forensics tests showed Mr. Brown’s blood on the gun, as well as on the interior door panel and on Officer Wilson’s uniform. Officer Wilson told the authorities that Mr. Brown had punched and scratched him repeatedly, leaving swelling on his face and cuts on his neck.
...
The officials briefed on the case said the forensic evidence gathered in the car lent credence to Officer Wilson’s version of events. According to his account, he was trying to leave his vehicle when Mr. Brown pushed him back in. Once inside the S.U.V., the two began to fight, Officer Wilson told investigators, and he removed his gun from the holster on his right hip.
The Times also recounts press statements by Michael Brown's friend Dorian Johnson who claimed that Officer Wilson "just reached his arm out the window and grabbed my friend around his neck, and he was trying to choke my friend." Since Brown was 6'4" and 290 lbs. the notion that Wilson grabbed Brown by the neck through the window was never credible.

Still, none of this matters to the racebaiting crowd who WANT to believe that an injustice was committed in Ferguson on that night in August. If the truth of what really happened is widely accepted then the rioters and racebaiters will be the ones with blood on their hands!

As Election Approaches Obama's Sinking Ship Takes on More Water

More of his good friends now wonder what is he thinking?

Editorials in both the L.A. Times and NY Daily News again question Obama's competence to lead and manage government. This is especially so in what can only be called a season of Obama scandals and bad news. The Veterans Administration scandal breaks only to be replaced by the horrors of the ISIS surge followed by Ebola in the United States. What's next? It doesn't seem anyone is minding the store in the White House.

Speaking of ISIS, Washington Post columnist Eugene Robinson, who can usually be counted on to be one of Obama's top cheerleaders has had enough:
WASHINGTON -- It's not too soon to state the obvious: At this point, the war against the Islamic State can only be seen as failing.

U.S.-led air power has barely been able to keep the jihadist militants from capturing the Syrian town of Kobane, near the Turkish border -- and the besieged city may yet fall. Far to the southeast, Islamic State fighters have come within a few miles of Baghdad and threaten to consolidate their control of the vast Anbar Province, the Sunni heartland of Iraq. The self-proclaimed "caliphate" remains intact and its forces are advancing.

Intervention by the world's mightiest military force has produced no shock and no awe. To be sure, U.S. and coalition airstrikes are inflicting some damage on Islamic State troops and equipment. But the bombing has done virtually nothing to alter the strategic balance of power -- or to boost the fortunes of our ostensible allies on the ground, the "moderate" Syrian rebels and the hapless Iraqi military.
...
The Obama administration responds that its strategy will take time to implement. In Kerry's words: "We expect, as we have said, there will be ups and downs."

But patience is justified only if there is a reasonable expectation that the myriad political obstacles barring the path toward success can be overcome. I'm not sure whether the president and his aides are guilty of optimism or self-delusion.
...
Obama knew from the beginning that these -- and other -- problems in Iraq and Syria are essentially political and can't be solved by military action alone.

So tell me again: What, exactly, do we think our bombs are accomplishing?
Meanwhile, the slaughter of innocents in the streets of Syria and outside Baghdad continues unabated!

Poll: Obama Taking Us to Hell in a Handbasket!

Responding to critics, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest insists: "What’s evident, I think, from this president’s leadership style is that he’s focused on solving problems." Really? What problems, has Obama solved. It seems everywhere you look things are getting worse. A new poll shows 58 percent of voters feel things in the world are “going to hell in a handbasket.”

In the few weeks left before November's midterm congressional election it's clear Obama hasn't got the right stuff to lead his party let alone lead the country. Democrats in tight races across the U.S. are refusing to even admit they voted for him. But as Ronald Reagan once said, they can run but they can't hide!

Funny Campaign Ad that Makes a Serious Point

Put versions of this up across the country!

Last week I posted the following chart which shows in one glance how out of step Democrats are with their constituents in key Senate races this year:

For a humorous take on this fact, check out this ad:

Isn't that great! And so true.

Obama Cuts CDC Spending for Emergency Preparadness. Democrats Blame Ebola on GOP!

There's no lie so big it will shame Democrats. Especially when they are about to lose an election!

By now you may have heard about the vicious Democrat ad that seeks to link GOP leaders seeking spending control with the Ebola outbreak. I won't link to the ad as it uses the bodies of dead Africans in a cynical attempt to make their shameful case. One attempt is to suggest that the Budget Sequester, which was Obama's idea, was to blame. Despite the fact that the Sequester had marginal impact on spending as the chart below demonstrates:

Readers may recall the scare tactics the Obama Administration employed in a vain attempt to make it appear that the Sequester was stopping the business of government. Except of course that the Administration hired more guards to keep the Parks and public monuments closed for political reasons they they would otherwise have had on duty for normal operations.

But back to the CDC. It was the Obama Administration which proposed cuts to the CDC:
Apr 10, 2013 (CIDRAP News) – The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) takes a hit of about $270 million in the Obama administration's proposed fiscal year 2014 budget, including significant cuts to biodefense and emergency preparedness programs, officials revealed today.
From Center for Disease Control to Community Organizers

But cutting CDC's budget wasn't all the Obama Administration did. They reprogrammed CDC to make it another version of Community Organizing. Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal writes:
Consider the Prevention and Public Health Fund, a new series of annual mandatory appropriations created by Obamacare. Over the past five years, the CDC has received just under $3 billion in transfers from the fund. Yet only 6 percent—$180 million—of that $3 billion went toward building epidemiology and laboratory capacity. Especially given the agency’s postwar roots as the Communicable Disease Center, one would think that “detecting and responding to infectious diseases and other public health threats” warrants a larger funding commitment.

Instead, the Obama administration has focused the CDC on other priorities. While protecting Americans from infectious diseases received only $180 million from the Prevention Fund, the community transformation grant program received nearly three times as much money—$517.3 million over the same five-year period.

The CDC’s website makes clear the objectives of community transformation grants. The program funds neighborhood interventions like “increasing access to healthy foods by supporting local farmers and developing neighborhood grocery stores,” or “promoting improvements in sidewalks and street lighting to make it safe and easy for people to walk and ride bikes.” Bike lanes and farmer’s markets may indeed help a community—but they would do little to combat dangerous diseases like Ebola, SARS or anthrax.
Further undermining CDC's mission is that many of the grants they handed out are in direct contradiction with federal law banning the use of funds for lobbying or political purposes. But since Obama's Department of Justice has become the fox guarding the hen house there's little chance the law will be enforced.

Of course none of these facts will stop the runaway crazy train of lies Democrats are willing to say during election season (or any time). We've already seen that they will say anything to get elected.

And as one Twitter user suggests:
Using the bodies of dead Africans for a political ad is a new low even for Democrats. No amount of funding, especially for street lights and sidewalks, would have prevented the Ebola outbreak. Politicizing tragedy is the shameless last gasp of sure losers!\

UPDATE: GOP House added more funds to CDC than requested by Obama. But that won't stop the big lie!

UPDATE: Washington Post Factchecker Gives Four Pinocchios to lie GOP to blame for CDC cuts.

Here's All You Need to Know About Senate Dems Up for Re-Election: They ALL Support Obama!

Despite the fact they are all trying to tell you something different, their records speak for themselves!

Deroy Murdock at National Review Online has quotes from vulnerable Senate Democrats up for re-election. To a man, or woman, they all make a similar weasley claim to be independent, even critical of Obama. Yet when it comes time to cast their vote in the U.S. Senate they march in lockstep with Obama and Harry Reid.

This chart says it all:

And while these Dems try and claim this election isn't about Obama, Obama said it was:
“I am not on the ballot this fall. Michelle’s pretty happy about that. But make no mistake: These policies are on the ballot. Every single one of them,” Obama said in prepared remarks at Northwestern University.
Keep that in mind when you go to vote. The Dems who want you to believe they have nothing to do with this current mess will go right back to making things worse the minute they get elected. Don't be fooled again!

P.S. Irony Alert: In 2008 Obama cited John McCain's voting record supporting Bush as one reason he wasn't qualified to be elected President. Oh how the tables have turned!

With Friends Like These.... Michelle Obama Repeatedly Screws Up Name of Iowa Senate Candidate

And they called George W. Bush a dunce?

Barack Obama's not welcome in Iowa where the Democrat, a Congressman, pretends he's got nothing to do with the current mess in Washington. But he's in a close race, with a Republican challenger who happens to be a woman (imagine that!) so he calls in Michelle Obama for help. Michelle arrives, stands in front of a HUGE sign bearing the candidates name and repeatedly (not once, not twice, not three, not four... I lost count) mispronounces the candidates name. Watch:

Joni Ernst, the Republican challenger, a woman, grandmother, Iraq War veteran and hog farmer has a slight lead in the polls. Michelle's performance might just put her over the top!

Mapping Obama's Failure in Syria and Iraq

Pinprick bombing does little to stop ISIS!

As a follow up to this earlier post we have these two charts from the BBC showing the intensity of U.S. airstrikes against ISIS:

Hardly a shock and awe bombing campaign it's been called "shock and yawn." Contrast the above with more serious U.S. war efforts in the past where hundreds of strikes would take place in the first few days of an air campaign. Is it any wonder this air campaign is having little effect? Analysis by the Associated Press concludes that Obama's strategy has "hardly dented the core of the Islamic State group's territory."

This week the Pentagon predicts that ISIS will take control of the Syrian city of Khobani putting tens of thousands of civilians at risk.  A U.N. report documents that nearly 10,000 civilians have already been killed by ISIS and thousands more Iraq troops massacred.

Jimmy Carter: Obama Waited Too Long!

It's pretty bad when even Jimmy Carter thinks you are weak. In an interview with a Texas newspaper Carter described a string of errors made by Obama.

Obviously Obama's stated goal of destroying ISIS isn't possible with the current approach. Yet, when Obama visited the Pentagon on Wednesday he refused to accept the recommendations from the generals for a more robust approach. Doubling down on dumb doesn't seem to bother him.

So, he's off for several days of fundraisers. He's already held 56 fundraisers this year. Obviously holding on to political power is more important to him than maintaining America's national security!

Despite Finest Medical Care in the World, First Ebola Death in U.S. Raises Level of Concern

Do we trust that the government is telling us the truth about the deadly disease and doing all it can to stop it?

Thomas Eric Duncan, the Liberian man who arrived in Dallas before becoming symptomatic with Ebola died Wednesday morning. His condition became critical over the weekend and he was given a new antiviral drug on Monday which apparently failed to halt progression of the disease. Duncan did not receive the ZMapp drug, supplies of which are now depleted with the last dose going to a victim in Norway. The drug's effectiveness is still uncertain.

Meanwhile, Jesse Jackson arrived in Dallas on Tuesday questioning whether Duncan had received the highest level of care. Never let a crisis go to waste hunh Jesse?

This case and the shifting information being provided by government officials has raised concerns. Less than a month ago Obama said it was "unlikely" that anyone with Ebola would reach our shores. The Centers for Disease Control have altered their warnings on Ebola expressing less certainty about the routes of transmission. In an era where trust in government is at an all time low and we've seen the corruption of formerly apolitical agencies like the IRS and the Department of Justice people aren't so trusting of CDC reports.

Stories of the NBC cameraman and Spanish nurse who came down with Ebola raise concerns that the virus is easier to catch than official pronouncements would suggest. The question of possible airborne transmission continues to stoke fear.

A large outbreak of Ebola appears remote in the U.S. As long as individual cases of sick persons and those in close contact with them can be quarantined it should be possible to contain the disease. However, it's entirely possible that flareups will happen in areas across the country as the disease spreads worldwide. What can you do to protect yourself and your family?

The Washington Post had a good article on the basic facts, as we understand them, on Ebola transmission. A person with an active infection beyond just aches, pains and fever can transmit Ebola by touching surfaces that are later touched by uninfected persons. The length of viable surface contamination varies depending on the volume of any infected bodily fluids. An infected person touching a door knob or a table may leave viable virus particles capable of infecting you up to several hours later. Imagine the number of times a day you touch a doorknob or enter your PIN at the grocery checkout or handle money.

The best defense against these exposures is to use hand sanitizer after every contact with a surface or other human being in public areas. That's also a good way to prevent infection from the flu or the common cold. It's good advice during flu season despite any Ebola fears.

The "Lying Game:" Further Proof that Democrats Will Say Anything to Get Elected

And do just the opposite if they are successful!

Across the country Democrats in close Senate races are pretending that if elected, or re-elected they won't support Obama's policies. They are even running campaign ads that make them sound like Republicans by criticizing Obama.

One of the best examples of this kind of misleading message comes from Kentucky where Democrat Alison Grimes runs an ad showing her shooting a gun and proclaiming “I’m not Barack Obama. I disagree with him on guns, coal, and the EPA.”

But among her supporters there's the admission that her disagreement with Obama is nothing more than a smokescreen and that once elected, she'll be right there supporting Obama like so many other Democrats who currently find themselves in close races. Project Veritas went to Kentucky and used hidden cameras at campaign headquarters for Grimes and got the real story:

From FreeBeacon report: “If we can get her elected do you think she is going to do the right thing and she’s gonna try to wipe out that coal industry and go for better resources?” asks an undercover videographer in one segment of the video.

“I absolutely think she is,” responds Fayette County Democratic Party operative Gina Bess.
...
“She’s saying something positive about coal because she wants to be elected,” said Ros Hines, a staffer in Grimes’ Lexington campaign office. “And in the state of Kentucky, if you are anti-coal, you will not get elected, period, end of conversation.”
...
“She has to say that,” remarked Juanita Rodriguez of the Warren County Democratic Party. “But you know what? Politics is a game. You do what you have to do to get [elected]. … It’s a lying game unfortunately.”

“I really don’t think her heart is 100 percent in backing coal. But she has to say she is because she will not get a high number of votes in this state if she doesn’t. But she’s got to get in there first and she’s gonna say whatever she has to say or do. And that’s the way the political game is played.”
Across the country vulnerable Democrats are trying to pretend that they don't support Obama's liberal agenda. I doubt there are too many voters gullible enough to believe them. One month to go before election day!

Big Surprise! Obama Bombing Strategy Failed Against Khorasan Group

Nice of Obama to give the terrorists two weeks warning before bombing began!

In Iraq, Obama's strategy of pinprick bombing against ISIS has had only limited success in keeping the Kurds from outright defeat. Meanwhile, in another part of the country ISIS captured an Iraqi base west of Baghdad and slaughtered hundreds. The threat of pinprick strikes did not deter them. ISIS is a greater threat now to Baghdad than it was before Obama's bombs began falling.

Things are just as bad in Syria where leaders of the Khorasan Group (otherwise known as Al Queda except Obama prefers to think he defeated Al Queda) are reported to have escaped pinprick strikes launched against the group. The Obama Administration had warned that Khorasan was planning an "imminent attack" on the United States. Now they are on the loose.

Thanks in no small part to the two week escape window Obama gave between his speech declaring his resolve to defeat terrorists in Syria and Iraq and the actual beginning of the bombing campaign.

You might actually be forgiven for thinking Obama planned it that way. Not willing to go that far, Brit Hume of Fox News had this to say:

HUME: “I think it’s beginning to look more and more as if our effort against ISIS is every bit as much inspired by politics and a nearing election as was the previous effort in Iraq. The bombing campaign appears to be anything but really intense. . . . It looks like a quite mild bombing campaign undertaken for the purpose of appearing to do something toward the goal, the president says, of ultimately taking down ISIS. My sense, is after he gets past this election, his effort to take down ISIS — I don’t think it’s something he deeply believes in, I don’t think he could possibly believe in the approach he’s taken — will subside.”
Since Obama's actions in Iraq and elsewhere are clearly inspired by politics Hume's conclusion is not surprising or original. Unfortunately, we've discovered from these past five and a half years that Obama doubles down even on a losing hand when a wiser man would know to try a different policy. Knowing that I fear the mess we currently see across the board in national security affairs can only get worse!

Obama Caught in Another Lie About Iraq

He just can't seem to admit he screwed it up!

Earlier there was Obama's interview on 60 Minutes where he tried to shift the blame to the Intelligence Community for ignoring the rise of ISIS despite their repeated and public warnings.

Then there is the Obama claim that it wasn't his fault we pulled all U.S. troops out of Iraq contrary to the best advice from military leaders. He blamed the Iraqis in a press conference last August. Of course he was only too proud to brag about pulling all U.S. troops out when he thought it would help him get re-elected.

But Leon Panetta, who was both Obama's Director of Central Intelligence and Secretary of Defense tells the real story in his memoirs. The Washington Post picks up the story in this article titled "Leon Panetta blows whistle on lies about Iraq:"
In clear and unequivocal terms, former Defense Secretary and CIA director Leon Panetta confirms precisely what conservative criticslawmakers, former officialstactical experts and military officials have said about Iraq:President Obama was advised to keep a stay-behind force and warned  about the consequences if he did not. He preferred to keep his campaign pledge to get all the troops out. The White House therefore allowed negotiations to falter for a status of forces agreement and bragged it had gotten all the troops out. Iraq has now collapsed.
In excerpts of his new book printed in TIME, he writes: “When President Obama announced the end of our combat mission in August 2010, he acknowledged that we would maintain troops for a while. Now that the deadline was upon us, however, it was clear to me — and many others — that withdrawing all our forces would endanger the fragile stability then barely holding Iraq together.” Among others, Panetta and Under Secretary of Defense Michèle Flournoy tried to convince the White House this was essential, but the White House refused to take obvious measures to maintain troops:
Flournoy argued our case, and those on our side viewed the White House as so eager to rid itself of Iraq that it was willing to withdraw rather than lock in arrangements that would preserve our influence and interests.
We debated with al-Maliki even as we debated among ourselves, with time running out. The clock wound down in December, and Deputy Secretary of Defense Ash Carter continued to argue our case, extending the deadline for the Iraqis to act, hoping that we might pull out a last-minute agreement and recognizing that once our forces left, it would be essentially impossible for them to turn around and return. To my frustration, the White House coordinated the negotiations but never really led them. Officials there seemed content to endorse an agreement if State and Defense could reach one, but without the President’s active advocacy, al-Maliki was allowed to slip away. The deal never materialized. To this day, I believe that a small U.S. troop presence in Iraq could have effectively advised the Iraqi military on how to deal with al-Qaeda’s resurgence and the sectarian violence that has engulfed the country.
As he so often does, Obama put his own short term political gain ahead of national security. We're paying the price for Obama's self seeking corruption now in Iraq and Syria. Tens of thousands of Iraqis and Syrians have paid the price with their lives!

Purveyor of GOP War on Women Fiction Calls Oklahoma Beheading "Workplace Violence"

Here's the perfect example of a real war on women and this liberal columnist is so blinded by left wing ideology she refuses to acknowledge it!

Alton Nolen, who renamed himself Jah' Keem Yisrael was suspended from his job at a Moore Oklahoma food processing plant after arguing with workers while insisting that women should be stoned to death for offenses against Islam. He returned later that day and beheaded one woman at the plant and was attacking another while shouting Islamic phrases until he was shot by the owner of the company.

On his Facebook page Nolen glorified beheadings in the name of Islam and declared "jihad, jihad, jihad." But apparently that's not enough to convince some who want to downplay the threat of terrorism:

Melissa Harris-Perry "It is a story that I read as workplace violence story. "

Stoning women, beheading and knife attacks is "workplace violence?" But Harris-Perry wants you to believe that the Republican Party is waging a "war on women." (1,2) It's another perfect example of how corrupted by left wing ideology some on the left have become.

In the end, it's all politics for people like Harris-Perry.  Admitting jihad has come to America might lower Obama's poll numbers further. Much better to continue pushing the lie that the GOP is the real threat to women!

P.S. 19 year old Brendan Tevlin was gunned down by a Muslim seeking revenge because of U.S. foreign policy. His murder wasn't called terrorism either. Of course Nidal Hassan's murderous rampage at Fort Hood Texas was also labeled workplace violence. And the murder at a Little Rock Arkansas Army recruiting center wasn't considered a terrorist attack either. All the killers were Muslims with an axe to grind.

UPDATE:  Arabic Man Asks Suspicious Questions at OK High School.

News report from Moore Oklahoma, site of beheading last week, describes an Arabic man who entered a high school in that city and asked how many police guards were on campus and how near the police station was. No doubt Harris-Perry will describe this as a case of tourist curiosity!

Obama, Nobel Peace Prize Recipient, Waives Restrictions Against Bombing Civilians in Syria

This is the guy in 2007 who said we needed more troops on the ground in Afghanistan so we're "not just air-raiding villages and killing civilians!"
White House exempts Syria airstrikes from tight standards on civilian deaths
Amid reports of women and children killed in U.S. air offensive, official says the 'near certainty' policy doesn’t apply
By Michael Isikoff
Yahoo News
October 1, 2014

The White House has acknowledged for the first time that strict standards President Obama imposed last year to prevent civilian deaths from U.S. drone strikes will not apply to U.S. military operations in Syria and Iraq.
A White House statement to Yahoo News confirming the looser policy came in response to questions about reports that as many as a dozen civilians, including women and young children, were killed when a Tomahawk missile struck the village of Kafr Daryan in Syria's Idlib province on the morning of Sept. 23.

The village has been described by Syrian rebel commanders as a reported stronghold of the al-Qaida-linked Nusra Front where U.S officials believed members of the so-called Khorasan group were plotting attacks against international aircraft.

But at a briefing for members and staffers of the House Foreign Affairs Committee late last week, Syrian rebel commanders described women and children being hauled from the rubble after an errant cruise missile destroyed a home for displaced civilians. Images of badly injured children also appeared on YouTube, helping to fuel anti-U.S. protests in a number of Syrian villages last week.
Remember this? August 13, 2007, Obama spoke to a group of potential voters in Nashua, New Hampshire:

Sen. Obama: "We've got to get the job done there, and that requires us to have enough troops so that we're not just air-raiding villages and killing civilians, which is causing enormous problems there."
Obama's strategy in Syria is all bombs and no troops. Is that an improvement?
