On Floor of U.S. House Dem Accuses GOP of Wanting Sick People to "Die Quickly"

Congressman Joe Wilson was sanctioned by the U.S. House of Representatives in a resolution that condemned his outburst "YOU LIE" by saying it brought "discredit" and violated the "decorum" of the House. GOP House leaders were quick to also condemn's Joe's outburst.

But when a Democrat speaks from the floor of the U.S. House and suggests the GOP wants sick people to die, there is a deafening silence from Democrats!

Will there ever be real civility in the political process where Democrats are completely exempt from the standards they daily demand of Republicans?

Latest Obama Classrom Indoctrination Video Reveals "Education is the Key"

For those who suggest that the indoctrination of school children is nothing more than isolated incidents the growing list of outrageous examples proves the opposite is true.

Last week there was the "Barack Hussein Obama hm..hm..hm...Hello Mr. President, we honor you today! ... Hooray Mr. President, you are number one!"

This week at a PTA meeting at Sand Hill Elementary School in North Carolina we find yet another example. Since the news of this video broke, the original which was posted at Hot Air has been moved to private viewing only by the person who posted it at You Tube. However, at the Mike's America home planet we managed to snag a copy before it was removed from public viewing:

"Uniting blacks and whites. Being both Obama cannot take sides.... HOPE! Change has come, change has come!... YES WE CAN!"

"Education is the key, education is the secret" to indoctrination of a new generation of liberal clones who readily accept the big lies that liberalism tells day after day.

Are YOUR tax dollars being used for this purpose?

If That Weren't Bad Enough... There's the "Story of Stuff"

Being shown in schoolrooms across the country is this anti-capitalist screed produced by the socialist Tides Foundation. You can see the video here. Two screen captures follow:

From the Story of Stuff: "Some people in this system matter a little more than others. Who are they? ....My friends tell me I should use a tank to symbolize the government...more than 50% of our federal tax money is going to the military." Another total lie of the left. Want to know who her "friends" are? Guess George Soros and you win a prize!

It's no accident that they label the big greedy "corporation" as larger than the federal government. Again, we have to wonder what planet these liberals are living on?

This is nothing more than a full fledged assault on capitalism and the American way of life. The same system which has brought prosperity and freed millions around the world; cured disease and done much to eradicate hunger is made the villain. No socialist system has anything like the record of success in helping humanity that American capitalism has produced.

The Story of Stuff is just the kind of thing that is being forced into the minds of children on a daily basis in our public schools. Taxpayers are paying to indoctrinate the next generation of liberals whose critical thinking skills will be weakened by this assault on reason.

Time to take our country back? Start in the public schools!

Socialists Repudiated in German Elections. Will U.S. Follow the Lead in 2010?

It was a victory for tax cutting, pro-business, labor union reform that swept the field in Germany!

German Chancellor Angela Merkel savors conservative victory.

Results in this weekend's parliamentary election in Germany has achieved what some in Europe call a "resounding triumph" for conservatives. One which saw the Social Democrats (socialists), who were part of the former governing coalition with Merkel, getting beat worse than at any time since World War II.

Merkel can now govern without compromise with socialists. All of this on a low tax, pro-business, labor reform platform!

Merkel's victory follows on the trend in other western governments like Italy, France and Canada (Britain may soon follow in the next six months).

The aberration among western governments is the 2008 U.S. presidential election.

The world and our friends are turning to tried and true conservative solutions. How much longer until we join them?

How Can Obama "Listen to the General" In Charge of Afghanistan If He Has Only Spoken to Him Once?

Obviously, Obama has higher priorities! Like seeing how many times he can say "I" or "my" in his next speech!

General Stanley McChrystal told CBS reporter David Martin in a television interview that aired Sunday on 60 Minutes that he's only spoken with the President once in the 70 days since being appointed by Obama to oversee our efforts in Afghanistan.

Remember that during the 2008 campaign and at the start of the Obama Administration the focus was on making Afghanistan the highest priority national security issue.

Remember also that in 2008, candidate Obama promised to listen to the generals. This was a mantra that Democrats beat like a drum during the Bush years.

But now, the Gen. McChrystal writes a requested report leaked report in PDF in which he says:

"Failure to gain the initiative and reverse insurgent momentum in the near-term (next 12 months) -- while Afghan security capacity matures -- risks an outcome where defeating the insurgency is no longer possible."

Time is critical to turning this situation around. But Obama's response is to wait, study and evaluate. Evaluate what? Either you believe the general you appointed knows what he is talking about and give him the support he requests or you don't.

Team Obama will only start discussing the issue this week with the first of what is billed as a series of meetings with no deadline set for reaching a decision regarding Gen. McChrystal's request for tens of thousands of additional troops.

How long will we have to wait until a reporter asks Obama why he doesn't listen to his general?

How long will our troops in Afghanistan have to wait to find out whether the Commander in Chief will support their mission?

Yikes! Is the "Mainstream" Media Starting To Sour on Obama?

In Newsweek Howard Fineman is saying what many of us have from the start. But when he says it, other libs listen!

Read it all.

Excerpt:

The president's problem isn't that he is too visible; it's the lack of content in what he says when he keeps showing up on the tube. Obama can seem a mite too impressed with his own aura, as if his presence on the stage is the Answer. There is, at times, a self-referential (even self-reverential) tone in his big speeches. They are heavily salted with the words "I" and "my." (He used the former 11 times in the first few paragraphs of his address to the U.N. last week.) Obama is a historic figure, but that is the beginning, not the end, of the story.

There is only so much political mileage that can still be had by his reminding the world that he is not George W. Bush. It was the winning theme of the 2008 campaign, but that race ended nearly a year ago. The ex-president is now more ex than ever, yet the current president, who vowed to look forward, is still reaching back to Bush as bogeyman.

He did it again in that U.N. speech. The delegates wanted to know what the president was going to do about Israel and the Palestinian territories. He answered by telling them what his predecessor had failed to do. This was effective for his first month or two. Now it is starting to sound more like an excuse than an explanation.

Members of Obama's own party know who Obama is not; they still sometimes wonder who he really is. In Washington, the appearance of uncertainty is taken as weakness—especially on Capitol Hill, where a president is only as revered as he is feared. Being the cool, convivial late-night-guest in chief won't cut it with Congress, an institution impervious to charm (especially the charm of a president with wavering poll numbers).

Add this to the tough questioning Obama faced on health care and ACORN from ABC's George Stephanopolous last Sunday and we're seeing the first cracks in the media wall which thus far has shielded Obama from his own worst enemy: himself!

Senate Report on ACORN Reveals It's Nothing But A CON!

Now, will Dems have the guts to investigate this corruption and misuse of taxpayer dollars? Or do we need to say "culture of corruption" until they do?

In the wake of the ACORN child prostitution/tax fraud and illegal immigrant smuggling video sting new attention has focused on the corrupt organization that reveals the rot goes much deeper than a few bad apples.

Senator Charles Grassley (R-IA) is the Ranking Member of the Senate Finance Committee and has been looking into the matter. On the Senate Committee web site he posts a report from the Committee's Tax Staff which is dynamite.

The Grassley Report calls ACORN a "big shell game" in which charities "are being used to raise monies which are then funneled to other charities or to other organizations for purposes other than what the donor may have intended. . . . Dollars raised for charitable [purposes] appear to be used for impermissible lobbing and political activity."

As someone who monitored grants for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency I can tell you what huge red flag that last statement is. It's not just a no-no, it may be a violation of federal law.

ACORN is set up in such a way to make it difficult to trace money through the various subsidiaries, dozens of which are registered to an address of an abandoned funeral home in New Orleans. It's like something out of a James Bond film where the villains are hiding their true identity.

The Washington Post ran a story on Grassley's report Friday. It's doubtful the rest of the mainstream media will pick up the issue. Thus far, they've been more inclined to sweep any report of corruption that might touch Obama far under the rug.

Under Obama's Health Care: If you Don't Sign up, You'll be Taxed AND Go to Jail?

Let's see Obama spin this one!

By now readers may be aware that the health care bill proposed by Democrats creates an individual mandate which requires all Americans to buy health insurance (illegal aliens will still be able to get their care free).

Even though then Sen. Obama campaigned for office against a mandate, he's on record supporting one now and claiming that it does not constitute a tax even though just about everyone else concedes it is a tax.

Republicans in the U.S. Senate tried to get the individual mandate removed from the bill Democrats are pushing rapidly through the Senate Finance Committee but their amendment was voted down on a largely party line vote.

What readers may not be aware of is the penalty for not buying insurance is more than a fine. It may also include jail time. Senator John Ensign (R-NV) questioned Senate Finance Committee Chief of Staff Thomas Barthold on the issue of penalties and got a handwritten response:

"If there is a willful failure to file, pay, maintain appropriate records and the like the taxpayer may be charged with a misdemeanor with a penalty up to $25,000 and not more than one year in jail."
Democrats will use the I.R.S. to enforce this tax and to hold every American accountable for signing up for health care insurance. OR ELSE!

Once again, Republicans are standing up for freedom and self reliance and Democrats are standing up for more big government, big brother and the IRS!

Don't tell me there is no difference between Republicans and Democrats!

Fox News' Megyn Kelly Squeezes Out Morning Show and O'Reilly Then Gives Birth to Baby Boy in AM

What a trooper!
Megyn Kelly Gives Birth to Baby Boy
By Chris Ariens on Sep 25, 2009 12:00 PMFox News anchor Megyn Kelly gave birth to a baby boy this morning. Edward Yates Brunt, named after his 2 grandfathers, weighs in at 7 pounds 10 ounces. Megyn and her husband Doug Brunt will call him "Yates."

Kelly anchored her show yesterday, even delivering a segment on the top 5 things not to say to a pregnant woman. And she even did her regular segment on "The O'Reilly Factor" last night.

Mom and baby doing great, we're told.

Violence and Mayhem in Obama's America

Where's Nancy Pelosi when left wing anarchists go out of control?

Remember when House Speaker Nancy Pelosi called Town Hall attendees protesting Obama's socialist takeover of health care "un-American?" Later, she tearfully suggested she feared the protests would lead to violence.

Where is Nancy as hundreds of left wing anarchists (how many of them voted for Obama?) wreak havoc on the streets of Pittsburgh as the G-20 summit of world leaders gets underway?

You didn't see anything like this during the 9/12 March on Washington where hundreds of thousands of Americans peacefully assembled and cleaned up after themselves!

This is Obama's America:

No McCain-Palin voters here!

You didn't see scenes like this when Americans protested the socialist takeover of health care and there were no arrests. And following this melee we haven't heard one word of condemnation from Nancy Pelosi!

Obama Backed Crazy Man in Honduras Coup Against Constitution

Do we really need another crazy like Venezuela's Chavez in our backyard?

Remember how Obama dissed the Honduran Constitution, Congress and Supreme Court to back the claim of the deposed wannabe dictator Manuel Zelaya? This is the guy they are protecting....

They're torturing me, Honduras' Manuel Zelaya claims
Honduras' fallen leader told The Miami Herald he is being subjected to mind-altering gas and radiation -- and that `Israeli mercenaries' are planning to assassinate him.
BY FRANCES ROBLES
MiamiHerald.com
September 24, 2009

TEGUCIGALPA -- It's been 89 days since Manuel Zelaya was booted from power. He's sleeping on chairs, and he claims his throat is sore from toxic gases and "Israeli mercenaries'' are torturing him with high-frequency radiation.

"We are being threatened with death,'' he said in an interview with The Miami Herald, adding that mercenaries were likely to storm the embassy where he has been holed up since Monday and assassinate him.
...
Zelaya, 56, is at the embassy with his family and other supporters, without a change of clothes or toothpaste. The power and water were turned back on, and the U.N. brought in some food. Photos showed Zelaya, his trademark cowboy hat across his face, napping on a few chairs he had pushed together.

"Look at the shape he's in -- sleeping on chairs,'' de facto President Roberto Micheletti told a local TV news station.

Micheletti took Zelaya's place after the military, executing a Supreme Court arrest warrant, burst into Zelaya's house and forced him into exile. The country's military, congress, Supreme Court and economic leaders have backed the ouster, arguing that Zelaya was bent on conducting an illegal plebiscite that they feared would ultimately lead to his reelection.

So, Zelaya claims he is being "tortured?" Heck, he'd probably be better off living at Guantanamo Bay. Notice how these lefties scream "TORTURE" to get your attention?

By now we're getting used to Obama dissing our friends the Brits, the Poles, the Czechs, the Israelis and Colombians. But to stick up for an obvious nutcase like this loon? Good grief!

Senate GOP Amendments Show Democrats True Hand in Health Care Bill

How can Dems say there won't be cuts or rationing in health care if they vote against amendments specifically addressing those and other issues?

Just as Democrat party line votes against GOP amendments in House Committees drafting health care legislation gave the lie to Obama's claim that abortions and illegal aliens wouldn't' be covered the same is true in the Senate. This week, the Senate Finance Committee is drafting the Senate's version of Obama Care. Once again Republicans on the committee offered a series of amendments which would have made Democrats live up to their promises. They were rejected on party line votes:

Rejected: Amendment To Preserve Seniors’ Medicare Advantage Plans

HATCH AMENDMENT: “This Amendment Would Strike The Medicare Advantage Provisions Of The Chairman’s Mark If CBO Certifies That Beneficiaries Currently Participating In The Medicare Advantage Program Will Lose Plan Benefits.

Rejected: Amendment To Provide Legislative Language And Price Tag Before Voting

BUNNING AMENDMENT: “This Amendment Requires That Before The Finance Committee Can Vote On Final Passage Of ‘America’s Healthy Future Act Of 2009,’ The Legislative Language Must Be Publically Available On The Finance Committee’s Website For At Least 72 Hours.”

Rejected: Amendment To Stop “Gag Order”

The Health and Human Services Dept. has issued a gag order to insurance companies with medicare customers prohibiting them from any communication with their customers not approved by the Democrats who control HHS.

Rejected: Amendment Prohibiting A Federal Rationing Board

KYL AMENDMENT: “The amendment would strike the following language from the Medicare Commission in subtitle E of Title III: ‘By April 1, 2014, the Senate Finance Committee, along with the relevant House committees, would be required to report out either the Commission’s (or Secretary’s) proposal or an amended proposal that achieves the same level of reductions in excess cost growth.’”

Ruled Out Of Order: Medical Liability Reform Amendments

ENSIGN AMENDMENT: “The amendment will insert language in Title III, Subtitle H of the Chairman‘s Mark to improve patient access to health care services and provide improved medical care by reducing the excessive burden the liability system places on the health care delivery system.”

CORNYN AMENDMENT: “Any state receiving funding under Medicaid shall enact a limit on total noneconomic damages against doctors and health care facilities of one million dollars or less.”

KYL AMENDMENT: “This amendment would limit noneconomic damages in a civil medical liability lawsuit to $250,000 from any provider or health care institution, not to exceed $500,000 from all providers and health care institutions. It would also make each party liable only for the amount of damages directly proportional to such party's percentage of responsibility.”

More News from the Hearings:

-CBO: “Legislation Would Raise Insurance Premiums”
-“Approximately Half” Of Medicare Advantage Benefits Will Be Cut
-Business Tax “Largely Falling On The Consumer”
-“Some People” With “Incomes Less Than $200,000” “Would Be Subject To The Penalty Excise Tax”
-Over $130,000,000,000 In Cuts To Medicare Advantage
-Nearly $120,000,000,000 In Medicare Cuts For Hospitals That Care For Seniors
-More Than $40,000,000,000 Cut From Home Health Agencies
-Nearly $8,000,000,000 Cut From Hospices

Sources: A, B

So much for Obama's promises that if you like your plan you can keep it or that you won't pay more in taxes and no cuts in Medicare.

OBAMA: "Don't pay attention to those scary stories. I will protect Medicare."

When it comes to lying about health care, Obama and the Democrats have no shame!

Sarah Palin's Speech in Asia

Quite a contrast with the rogues gallery on display at the United Nations!

While liars, terrorists and Jew hating psychopaths (you figure out who was who) spoke from the platform of the United Nations on Wednesday, Sarah Palin was in Hong Kong delivering a long awaited speech to Asian investors. She surprised even her critics, including the New York Times, which reported:

A number of people who heard the speech in a packed hotel ballroom, which was closed to the media, said Mrs. Palin spoke from notes for 90 minutes and that she was articulate, well-prepared and even compelling.
Though the event was closed to the media, former Governor Palin posted an extensive excerpt on her Facebook page:

SARAH PALIN: So far, I’ve given you the view from Main Street, USA. But now I’d like to share with you how a Common Sense Conservative sees the world at large.

Later this year, we will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall – an event that changed not just Europe but the entire world. In a matter of months, millions of people in formerly captive nations were freed to pursue their individual and national ambitions.

The competition that defined the post World War II era was suddenly over. What was once called “the free world” had so much to celebrate – the peaceful end to a great power rivalry and the liberation of so many from tyranny’s grip.

Some, you could say, took the celebration too far. Many spoke of a “peace dividend,” of the need to focus on domestic issues and spend less time, attention and money on endeavors overseas. Many saw a peaceful future, where globalization would break down borders and lead to greater global prosperity. Some argued that state sovereignty would fade – like that was a good thing? – that new non-governmental actors and old international institutions would become dominant in the new world order.

As we all know, that did not happen. Unfortunately, there was no shortage of warning signs that the end of the Cold War did not mean the end of history or the end of conflict. In Europe, the breakup of Yugoslavia resulted in brutal wars in the Balkans. In the Middle East, a war was waged to reverse Saddam Hussein’s invasion of Kuwait. North Korea’s nuclear program nearly led to military conflict. In Africa, U.S. embassies were bombed by a group called al Qaeda.

Two weeks ago, America commemorated the 8th anniversary of the savagery of September 11, 2001. The vicious terrorist attacks of that day made clear that what happened in lands far distant from American shores directly affect our security. We came to learn, if we did not know before, that there were violent fanatics who sought not just to kill innocents, but to end our way of life. Their attacks have not been limited to the United States.
...
During the election campaign in the U.S. last year, you might have noticed we had some differences over Iraq. John McCain and I believed in the strength of the surge strategy – because of its success, Iraq is no longer the central front in the war on terrorism. Afghanistan is. Afghanistan is where the 9/11 attacks were planned and if we are not successful in Afghanistan, al Qaeda will once again find safe haven there. As a candidate and in office, President Obama called Afghanistan the “necessary war” and pledged to provide the resources needed to prevail. However, prominent voices in the Democratic Party are opposing the additional U.S. ground forces that are clearly needed.

Speaker of the House Pelosi, Defense Subcommittee Chairman Murtha, the Senate Armed Services Committee Chair, and many others, recently expressed doubts about sending additional forces! President Obama will face a decision soon when the U.S. Commander in Afghanistan requests additional forces to implement his new counterinsurgency strategy.

We can win in Afghanistan by helping the Afghans build a stable representative state able to defend itself. And we must do what it takes to prevail. The stakes are very high. Last year, in the midst of the U.S. debate over what do to in Iraq, an important voice was heard – from Asia’s Wise Man, former Singaporean Prime Minister, Lee Kuan Yew, who wrote in the Washington Post about the cost of retreat in Iraq. In that article, he prophetically addressed the stakes in Afghanistan. He wrote:

“The Taliban is again gathering strength, and a Taliban victory in Afghanistan or Pakistan would reverberate throughout the Muslim world. It would influence the grand debate among Muslims on the future of Islam. A severely retrograde form of Islam would be seen to have defeated modernity twice: first the Soviet Union, then the United States. There would be profound consequences, especially in the campaign against terrorism.”

That statesman’s words remain every bit as true today. And Minister Lee knows, and I agree, that our success in Afghanistan will have consequences all over the world, including Asia. Our allies and our adversaries are watching to see if we have the staying power to protect our interests in Afghanistan. That is why I recently joined a group of Americans in urging President Obama to devote the resources necessary in Afghanistan and pledged to support him if he made the right decision.

That is why, even during this time of financial distress we need to maintain a strong defense. All government spending should undergo serious scrutiny. No programs or agencies should be automatically immune from cuts.

We need to go back to fiscal discipline and unfortunately that has not been the view of the current Administration. They’re spending everywhere and with disregard for deficits and debts and our future economic competitiveness. Though we are engaged in two wars and face a diverse array of threats, it is the defense budget that has seen significant program cuts and has actually been reduced from current levels!

First, the Defense Department received only ½ of 1 % of the nearly trillion dollar Stimulus Package funding – even though many military projects fit the definition of “shovel-ready.” In this Administration’s first defense budget request for 2010, important programs were reduced or cancelled. As the threat of ballistic missiles from countries like North Korea and Iran grow, missile defense was slashed.

Despite the need to move men and material by air into theaters like Afghanistan, the Obama Administration sought to end production of our C-17s, the work horse of our ability to project long range power. Despite the Air Force saying it would increase future risk, the Obama Administration successfully sought to end F-22 production – at a time when both Russia and China are acquiring large numbers of next generation fighter aircraft. It strikes me as odd that Defense Secretary Gates is the only member of the Cabinet to be tasked with tightening his belt.

Now in the region I want to emphasize today: The reason I speak about defense is because our strong defense posture in Asia has helped keep the region safe and allowed it to prosper. Our Asian allies get nervous if they think we are weakening our security commitments. I worry about defense cuts not because I expect war but because I so badly want peace. And the region has enjoyed peace for so long because of our security commitment to our longstanding allies and partners.

Asia has been one of the world’s great success stories. It is a region where America needs to assist with right mix of hard and soft power. While I have so much hope for a bright future in Asia, in a region this dynamic, we must always be prepared for other contingencies. We must work at this – work with our allies to ensure the region’s continued peace and prosperity.
...
Asia is at its best when it is not dominated by a single power. In seeking Asia’s continued peace and prosperity, we should seek, as we did in Europe, an Asia “whole and free” – free from domination by any one power, prospering in open and free markets, and settling political differences at ballot boxes and negotiating tables.

We can, must and should work with a “rising China” to address issues of mutual concern. But we also need to work with our allies in addressing the uncertainties created by China’s rise. We simply CANNOT turn a blind eye to Chinese policies and actions that can undermine international peace and security.

China has some 1000 missiles aimed at Taiwan and no serious observer believes Taiwan poses a military threat to Beijing. Those same Chinese forces make our friends in Japan and Australia nervous. China provides support for some of the world’s most questionable regimes from Sudan to Burma to Zimbabwe. China’s military buildup raises concerns from Delhi to Tokyo because it has taken place in the absence of any discernable external threat.
...
It is very much in our interest and the interest of regional stability that China work out its own contradictions – between a dynamic and entrepreneurial private sector on the one hand and a one party state unwilling or unable to adjust to its own society’s growing needs and desires and demands, including a human being’s innate desire for freedom.

I do not cite these issues out of any hostility toward China. Quite the contrary, I and all Americans of good faith hope for the Chinese people’s success. We welcome the rise that can be so good for all mankind. We simply urge China to rise responsibly. I simply believe we cannot ignore areas of disagreement as we seek to move forward on areas of agreement. Believe me, China does not hesitate to tell us when it thinks we are in the wrong.
...
How many books and articles have been written about the dangers of India’s rise? Almost as large as China – and soon to be more populous – virtually no one worries about the security implications of India becoming a great power – just as a century ago the then-preeminent power, Great Britain, worried little about the rise of America to great power status. My point is that the more politically open and just China is, the more Chinese citizens of every ethnicity will settle disputes in courts rather than on the streets. The more open it is, the less we will be concerned about its military build-up and intentions. The more transparent China is, the more likely it is they we will find a true and lasting friendship based on shared values as well as interests.
...
I see a bright future for America in Asia. One based on the alliances that have gotten us this far, one based on free and open markets, one that integrates democratic India into East Asia’s political life and one in which China decides to be a responsible member of the international community and gives its people the liberty – the freedom – they so desperately want.

Sadly, however, our largest free trade agreement ever in Asia, with South Korea, sits frozen in the Congress. In contrast, China is behaving wisely in negotiating free trade agreements throughout Asia. We want an Asia open to our goods and services. But if we do not get our free trade act together, we will be shut out by agreements Asians our making among themselves.
...
I am proud to be an American. As someone who has had the tremendous opportunity to travel throughout the United States and listen to the concerns of Americans in towns and cities across the country, I can tell you that there is a sense of despair and even crisis afoot in America that has the potential to shape our global investment and trade policies for years, and even decades to come. Never has the leadership of our government ever been more critical to keeping my country, and the world, on a path to openness, growth and opportunity in global trade and investment.
...
These are challenging times for everyone, but we in the United States must humbly recognize that if we are to lead and to set the direction for the rest of the world, it must be by our example and not merely our words. And we must tread lightly when imposing new burdens on the imports of other countries.

Well, CLSA: My country is definitely at a crossroad. Polling in the U.S. shows a majority of Americans no longer believe that their children will have a better future than they have had...that is a 1st.

When members of America’s greatest generation – the World War II generation – lose their homes and their life savings because their retirement funds were wiped after the financial collapse, people feel a great anger. There is suddenly a growing sentiment to just “throw the bums out” of Washington, D.C. – and by bums they mean the Republicans and the Democrats. Americans are suffering from pay cuts and job losses, and they want to know why their elected leaders are not tightening their belts. It’s not lost on people that Congress voted to exempt themselves from the health care plan they are thrusting on the rest of the nation. There is a growing sense of frustration on Main Street. But even in the midst of crisis and despair, we see signs of hope.

In fact, it’s a sea change in America, I believe. Recently, there have been protests by ordinary Americans who marched on Washington to demand their government stop spending away their future. Large numbers of ordinary, middle-class Democrats, Republicans, and Independents from all over the country marching on Washington?! You know something’s up!

These are the same people who flocked to the town halls this summer to face their elected officials who were home on hiatus from that distant capital and were now confronted with the people they represent. Big town hall meetings – video clips circulating coverage – people watching, feeling not so alone anymore.

The town halls and the Tea Party movement are both part of a growing grassroots consciousness among ordinary Americans who’ve decided that if they want real change, they must take the lead and not wait to be led. Real change – and, you know, you don’t need a title to do it.

The “Tea Party Movement” is aptly named to remind people of the American Revolution – of colonial patriots who shook off the yoke of a distant government and declared their freedom from indifferent – elitist – rulers who limited their progress and showed them no respect. Today, Main Street Americans see Washington in similar terms.

When my country again achieves financial stability and economic growth – when we roar back to life as we shall do – it will be thanks in large part to the hard work and common sense of these ordinary Americans who are demanding that government spend less and tax less and allow the private sector to grow and prosper.

We’re not interested in government fixes; we’re interested in freedom! Freedom! Our vision is forward looking. People may be frustrated now, but we’re very hopeful too.

And, after all, why shouldn’t we be? We’re Americans. We’re always hopeful.

Thank you for letting me share some of that hope, and a view from Main Street with you. God Bless You.
Bravo Sarah! Quite a better speech than the apologies and narcissism Obama put on display in New York!

Q: What do Obama, Iran's Ahmadinejahd and Libya's Khadafi Have in Common?

A: All three are speaking at the U.N. trashing the United States.

Earn extra credit by explaining what else these three have in common....

Tom "The Hammer" DeLay Dances "Wild Thing"

Now for something completely different!

I'm sure readers will recall former House GOP Majority Leader Tom Delay. Driven from congress on trumped up charges (which have yet to come to trial) by Democrats who never meet the same standard they demanded of DeLay. Mr. DeLay is now living it up as a private citizen.

Is it Racism when a Black President and Black Governor Take Shots at Each Other?

The simmering feud between Obama and New York Gov. Patterson heats up a notch!

First, there was New York Governor Patterson (D) claiming that racism was behind the move to get him to quit the race for Governor in 2010. Oddly enough, it was President Obama who recently made it known that Patterson should quit the race. Maybe that was the white half of Obama acting up.

Patterson isn't taking that lying down. When asked about the push by Obama, Patterson hinted that Obama should have better things to do than pick on him:

PATTERSON: If you look at it from their [White House] perspective, they haven’t exactly been able to govern in the first year of their administration in the way that other administrations have, where you would have, theoretically, a period in which the new administration is allowed to pass the needed pieces of legislation.
Patterson should know better than to criticize El Supremo. Obama doesn't take kindly to criticism from any source.

According to the Dem's latest playbook, any criticism of a black elected official is racist. So the question now is whether Patterson, Obama or both are racists?

Condi Rice Warns of Terrorist Attacks if We Abandon Afghanistan

We've missed her voice of reason these past months!

We haven't heard much from former Secretary of State Condi Rice since Obama took over. The following is an extensive interview by Nina Easton. It's an excellent reminder of what it was like when adults were in charge:

The money quote is:

"The last time we left Afghanistan, and we abandoned Pakistan," she said, "that territory became the very territory on which Al Qaeda trained and attacked us on September 11th. So our national security interests are very much tied up in not letting Afghanistan fail again and become a safe haven for terrorists.

"It's that simple," she declared, "if you want another terrorist attack in the U.S., abandon Afghanistan."

For those readers who wish to take a short walk down memory lane I offer this replay of the pictorial tribute to Condi Rice as part of the Bush Thankathon.

A Tax By Any Other Name: Obama "Stretches" the Truth About Forcing People to Buy Insurance or be Fined!

Joe Wilson where are you?

A Mike's America presentation: Obama Interview with George Stephanopolous of ABC News, aired September 20, 2009.

Notice the bizzard of bloviation designed to distract from the main point that forcing people to buy insurance or fining them for not doing so fits the definition of a tax!

Even Bill Clinton couldn't lie that good!

Is It Racist to Make Fun of Michelle Obama?

Or to point out how imperious the First Couple is?

Is she really the new Jackie Kennedy? Here's a photo of her at a White House meeting on Friday wearing something that looks like the suicide belt terrorists wear:

Photobucket

It reminded me of the ridiculous get up she wore while visiting Westminster Abbey when she flew with her girls over to London to do a bit of sight seeing.

Michelle Goes Out for Veggies!

Then there was Michelle's little trip out the front gates of the White House to a Farmer's Market one block away:
PhotobucketHi-Ho, the Derry-O
By Dana Milbank
Washington PostFriday, September 18, 2009

Let's say you're preparing dinner and you realize with dismay that you don't have any certified organic Tuscan kale. What to do?

Here's how Michelle Obama handled this very predicament Thursday afternoon:

The Secret Service and the D.C. police brought in three dozen vehicles and shut down H Street, Vermont Avenue, two lanes of I Street and an entrance to the McPherson Square Metro station. They swept the area, in front of the Department of Veterans Affairs, with bomb-sniffing dogs and installed magnetometers in the middle of the street, put up barricades to keep pedestrians out, and took positions with binoculars atop trucks. Though the produce stand was only a block or so from the White House, the first lady hopped into her armored limousine and pulled into the market amid the wail of sirens.

Then, and only then, could Obama purchase her leafy greens. "Now it's time to buy some food," she told several hundred people who came to watch. "Let's shop!"
...
Obama, in her brief speech to the vendors and patrons, handled the affordability issue by pointing out that people who pay with food stamps would get double the coupon value at the market. Even then, though, it's hard to imagine somebody using food stamps to buy what the market offered: $19 bison steak from Gunpowder Bison, organic dandelion greens for $12 per pound from Blueberry Hill Vegetables, the Piedmont Reserve cheese from Everson Dairy at $29 a pound. Rounding out the potential shopping cart: $4 for a piece of "walnut dacquoise" from the Praline Bakery, $9 for a jumbo crab cake at Chris's Marketplace, $8 for a loaf of cranberry-walnut bread and $32 for a bolt of yarn.
36 vehicles, shut down the streets and the metro station all so Michelle could do some shopping and drone on about how nifty overpriced veggies are? Is this how she shows she is touch with the common people? When was the last time anyone on the unemployment line had the spare cash to pay for such overpriced stuff? Besides, don't taxpayers already pay for the care and maintenance of her little garden plot on the White House lawn?

I remember the last time I saw Hillary Clinton zipping around Washington as First Lady. Three cars total! But I guess Michelle decided to supersize her motorcade for that one block trip. Anyone care to guess what the carbon footprint of her visit was?

Russian President Wants to Meet U.S. "Dissidents" During Visit

I know where he can find millions of us who would love to talk to him....

Who better to talk to than the citizens labeled by Pelosi, Reid and others as "un-American," "evilmongers," racists, intent on fomenting violence!

Reports: Medvedev wants to meet US 'dissidents'(AP) – 4 days ago

MOSCOW — Russian President Dmitry Medvedev says he would like to meet with "dissidents" when he visits the U.S. next week.

Russian news agencies quote him as telling a group of visiting foreign experts that "I believe there are dissidents in the United States."

ITAR-Tass quotes him as saying: "Let them tell me what problems the United States has. That won't be bad, considering the Soviet experience."

It wasn't immediately clear if the comment Tuesday was a subtle dig at the U.S., which has frequently criticized Russia for backsliding on democracy.
If Obama keeps going down the path of socialism we may reach a point where political opponents in Russia have more freedom than we do!

Fallout from Betraying Poland and Czechs on Missile Defense Grows

Bipartisan and Allied outrage!

Poles, Czechs: US missile defense shift a betrayal
By Vanessa Gera
Associated PressSep 18,2009

WARSAW, Poland – Poles and Czechs voiced deep concern Friday at President Barack Obama's decision to scrap a Bush-era missile defense shield planned for their countries.

"Betrayal! The U.S. sold us to Russia and stabbed us in the back," the Polish tabloid Fakt declared on its front page.

Polish President Lech Kaczynski said he was concerned that Obama's new strategy leaves Poland in a dangerous "gray zone" between Western Europe and the old Soviet sphere.
...
The Bush administration's plan would have been "a major step in preventing various disturbing trends in our region of the world," Kaczynski said in a guest editorial in the daily Fakt and also carried on his presidential Web site.
...
An editorial in Hospodarske Novine, a respected pro-business Czech newspaper, said: "an ally we rely on has betrayed us, and exchanged us for its own, better relations with Russia, of which we are rightly afraid."

The move has raised fears in the two nations they are being marginalized by Washington even as a resurgent Russia leaves them longing for added American protection.
...
"No Radar. Russia won," the largest Czech daily, Mlada Fronta Dnes, declared in a front-page headline.
Bipartisan opposition in U.S. Senate

Remember how then candidate Obama said we need not fear his foreign policy views because he had people like Indiana Senator Dick Lugar by his side? Here's what Sen. Lugar had to say about this decision:

Sen. Richard Lugar (Ind.), the ranking Republican on the Foreign Relations Committee, said the calls to Polish and Czech leaders came “in the middle of the night” and could endanger foreign countries’ support for the U.S. effort in Afghanistan.“To do this kind of action without any more notification than that is certainly not a confidence-builder,” Lugar said.

Heck, Obama couldn't even get Missouri's Sen. Claire McCaskill (D), to go along: “I’m concerned about scrapping it...I think missile defense is a very, very important part of our arsenal.”

Colunmist Ralph Peters sums up the issue:

Obama feeds allies to the Bear
By Ralph Peters
New York Post
September 18, 2009

STILL determined to "push the reset button with Russia," President Obama hit the delete key on our allies in Eastern Europe.

Obama's decision to abandon missile defense as we know it, cutting the throats of Poland and the Czech Republic, handed Moscow's hard-liners their biggest win since the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Russian strongman Vladimir Putin insisted all along that we'd never be permitted to deploy an anti-ballistic missile system in the former Soviet empire. He was right.

And Obama got nothing in return. No Russian commitments on Iran's nuclear program. No sovereignty guarantees for Georgia. No restrictions on arms sales to Venezuela. Not even a bearhug.
...
The move to kill this program was a White House attempt to toss a bone to the extreme left, which has always hated missile defense. (Why defend ourselves, when we're the enemy?) For that, Obama betrayed the trust of allies who'd done all they could to please us.

The Poles spent enormous political capital to convince their citizens to risk this deployment. They've backed us consistently in NATO and the UN. They sent combat troops to support us in Iraq.

The Czechs also fought our political battles for us, supporting our foreign wars and siding with us in international forums -- angering West European powers.

Now add Poland and the Czech Republic to the list of allies, such as Israel and Honduras, that we've thrown to the wolves. Obama's foreign policy embodies a line from "Animal House": "You [screwed] up -- you trusted us!"

But the worst thing is how this decision's read in Moscow. Putin, Russia's new czar, sees this as a triumph of his will over Obama's weak, retreating US. And he's right.

Thus it came to pass that, 70 years to the day after the Red Army invaded Poland, Warsaw's residents heard the news of this US betrayal and the implicit message that, yes, Eastern Europe still belongs in Moscow's sphere of influence.

If you're a citizen of Ukraine, Georgia or even the NATO-member Baltic states, you must be shuddering. You thought NATO and the US were serious about your right to live in freedom?

Better dig that Latvian-Russian dictionary out of the attic.

The last thing we needed to do was to further encourage Putin to believe he's all-knowing and invincible. But that's just what we've done.
...
Moscow believes we just signed over a new lease on Eastern Europe. And we didn't even get a tin of caviar. Will the Obama-Putin Act go down in history as the post-modern Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact?
It's pretty clear that Obama cares more about appeasing the left and the Russians (which are pretty much the same thing) than he does about building friendship and trust with our allies. And as for his campaign statement about following Dick Lugar's lead on foreign policy, like so much in Obama's world, those were just words. They meant nothing!

BETRAYAL! Obama Terminates Missile Defense Agreements with Poland and Czech Republic

News comes on the 70th Anniversary of Soviet Invasion of Poland in WWII!

Remember all Obama's talk during last year's presidential campaign about improving our relations with other nations? Well, today, President Obama gave a huge slap in the face to Poland and the Czech Republic, two allies who went out on a limb to support U.S. plans for a missile defense shield needed ever more so in an era when Iran and North Korea are threatening the world with these dangerous weapons.

The move is a transparent bid to appease Russia, which continues to refuse every plea that it help us in defusing the threat of Iran's development of nuclear weapons.

This action undermines our credibility throughout the world. What national leader will risk the political fallout of working with us in the future on difficult projects like missile defense if we simply turn around and run when a Democrat takes over the White House?

Sadly, this action signals to the nations of Eastern Europe that the United States will be less engaged with them in blocking a resurgence of the threat posed by Russia to their freedom. In the long run, that gives Russia a green light to threaten more of these nations with the kind of action we saw only last year when Russia invaded Georgia. We have thrown away our trump card in the region and will get nothing for it but further demands from Russia.

What did we gain from this? Nothing! Why is it that one of the only campaign promises Obama fulfills is the one that will make this country and our national security weaker?

Congressmen Took Obama At His Word Over Invite to Review Health Bill "Line by Line"

Yet calls and letters go unanswered!

President Obama issued the following invitation at a Town Hall meeting he held in July in Raleigh, NC (White House transcript):

So I just want everybody to know, Congress will have time to read the bill. They will have time to debate the bill. They will have all of August to review the various legislative proposals. When we come back in September, I will be available to answer any question that members of Congress have. If they want to come over to the White House and go over line by line what's going on, I will be happy to do that.
The next day Congressman Phil Roe (R-TN) wrote the President accepting his invitation. His letter is here. No word came back from the White House so Roe sent a second letter in early September. Two weeks after that second letter, still no response from the President who claimed he would be "happy" to sit down and go over the bill.

Congressman Michael C. Burgess, M.D. (R-Texas), chair of the Congressional Health Care Caucus. has also written twice noting in his second letter that the President stated in his speech before Congress last week that "My door is always open."

Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) has also written multiple times with no response. Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC) also indicated his willingness to review the health bills "line by line" with the President.

Both Reps. Roe and Burgess are Physicians and their expertise would certainly be useful to a President whose experience is limited to community organizing and running for public office.

Yet, no response from the White House and no meeting scheduled. Considering the urgency of the President's demand for health care reform you would think he would jump at the chance to meet with these Republican members of Congress to fulfill his promise for bipartisan solutions to the nation's problems.

Another example of how Obama's speeches are nothing more than empty words!

ACORN Employee in San Diego Offers Help in Smuggling Child Prostitutes Into U.S.

The latest ACORN sting video shows that we ain't seen nothing yet when it comes to corrupt ACORN lawbreaking....

ACORN employee: "I have a lot of contacts in Tijuana"

The stingers made it clear to him that they were talking about 12 girls 13-15 years old who would be smuggled into the country illegally and used for child prostitution!

I was a little hesitant to jump on the ACORN sting bandwagon when the first video surfaced. But now we have FIVE instances of ACORN employees advising on illegal activities with more to come. In an interview on Hannity's America Hannah Giles, the young woman who posed as the prostitute, revealed that not one ACORN office turned down their request for assistance in what were clearly illegal activities. In fact, if you watch all the videos to date, you'll see ACORN employees all very eager to help and offer advice on how to cover up the nature of these activities.

Survey Finds Doctors Will Quit if Obama Health Plan Passes

And they do NOT support the Dem plan!

Bill O'Reilly of Fox News interviewed David Axelrod, Obama's campaign strategist, recently and Axelrod claimed that doctors support Democrat's health care "reforms" (video).

Flopping Aces chief Obama apologist, Larry Weisenthal, a man spinning so fast he must dizzy all the time, echoed that same talking point a few days ago and pointed to a questionable survey where responding physicians were paid to offer their opinion as proof.

Sorry guys, but a new survey from the Investors Business Dailly Tipp poll, #1 in election predictions, has a different result:

45% Of Doctors Would Consider Quitting If Congress Passes Health Care Overhaul
By TERRY JONES
INVESTOR'S BUSINESS DAILYPosted 09/15/2009

Two of every three practicing physicians oppose the medical overhaul plan under consideration in Washington, and hundreds of thousands would think about shutting down their practices or retiring early if it were adopted, a new IBD/TIPP Poll has found.

Doctor opposition to health care overhaul proposals is broad and deep, revealing concerns not just about soaring costs, declining care, possible rationing and a lack of limits on malpractice suits, but also about government competence and motives, detailed responses to a new IBD/TIPP Poll show.

The poll contradicts the claims of not only the White House, but also doctors' own lobby — the powerful American Medical Association — both of which suggest the medical profession is behind the proposed overhaul.

It also calls into question whether an overhaul is even doable; 72% of the doctors polled disagree with the administration's claim that the government can cover 47 million more people with better-quality care at lower cost.

21 Objections

In combing through the responses, we identified no fewer than 21 separate issues doctors felt either weren't addressed or weren't solved by proposed reforms. The issues are many, but boil down to three big categories: costs, controls and courts.

One complaint was common: Doctors feared any government reform would turn into a kind of "socialized" medicine. Some were quite blunt: "I oppose socialism in all its forms or incarnations ... government should be shrunk drastically, not expanded."
...
This unconstitutional plan gives sovereignty over our bodies to unelected, unaccountable, ignorant bureaucrats," went one response along these lines. "Every governmental micromanagement of our lives has failed in its objective, and caused moral and economic bankruptcy."

But constitutional concerns were eclipsed by anger over the lack of tort reform — mentioned by hundreds of respondents. Physicians say they practice too much defensive medicine, which drives up costs, just to protect themselves from lawsuits.

The costs of this are enormous, though hard to precisely quantify. Estimates range from $100 billion to $200 billion in total added costs to both doctors and patients. Doctors in some specialties, such as neurology, pay as much as $250,000 a year for malpractice insurance.

Fear Of Lawyers

A number of our respondents used identical wording for why they didn't support health care reform: "No tort reform."

"The more lawsuits against doctors, the more testing is done," said one respondent, uttering a frequent complaint. "The government never interferes with lawyers — why? They are afraid, or they're all lawyers."
...
Foreign Experience

Many of those who opposed the plan had a unique perspective: They had practiced or lived under national health care systems in other countries.

"I trained and worked in Canada prior to coming to the U.S.," went one typical letter. "The same arguments were used in Canada to launch 'universal health care.' It is anything but universal and free."

Others had similar complaints.

"I did two years of training in Canada — disaster. When the government needed money, it decided patients with a stroke would not get a hospital bed. I had to have interns carry hemiplegic (a condition in which half a patient's body is paralyzed) patients to their families' cars."
...
"It will take away consumer choice, drive up health care costs, and drive down health care quality," said one. "It will sharply increase the demand for health care providers and sharply decrease the supply as doctors like me will retire early and students will avoid the field."

Who are you going to listen to? The majority of doctors who oppose the plan or the Democrats who have yet to show ONE government program that actually does what they promise it will at the cost they predict?

Photo Says It All: Dem's Best Hope for Health Bill Imploding

Look at all those empty seats as Sen. Max Baucus stands alone in Senate Committee Room!

Photobucket
Alone! No one joined Baucus to help push his "compromise!"

Curt has the full story on the much vaunted "compromise" health bill introduced today by Sen. Max Baucus, Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee. This was the bill Dems hoped would attract some GOP support and they couldn't even get Maine's Olympia Snowe to support it. Worse yet, Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D-WV) plans to vote against it for raising taxes on middle class coal miners in his state. This bill has so little support that Baucus couldn't even get the usual Dem posse to line up behind him for a photo op.

New Poll Shows Record Opposition to Dem's Health Plan

I suppose Sen. Rockefeller and other Democrats have been reading the latest Rasmussen poll which shows opposition to Democrat's plans is at an all time high (55% oppose, 42% support) less than one week after Obama's partisan speech to a joint session of Congress.

ABC's Anchor Charlie Gibson Out to Lunch on ACORN Corruption Story

Shouldn't the man who played "gotcha" with Sarah Palin be up to speed on this big news story? After all, that's his job!

PhotobucketRemember last fall when ABC's Charlie Gibson looked down his nose at Governor Sarah Palin and tried to sound superior when asking about the Bush doctrine which the Washington Post admits has several definitions? Well, once again it appears Charlie hasn't been doing his homework. He's clueless or indifferent to the biggest corruption story to break yet in the first months of the Obama Administration:
AUDIO:

Don Wade of 890 WLS radio's Wade and Roma show in Chicago threw a question at ABC World News Tonight anchor Charles Gibson:

Don: Ok here’s my question, Senate bill yesterday passes cutting off funds to this group called ACORN. Now we got the…we got that bill passing, we got the embarrassing video of ACORN staff giving tax advice on how to set up a brothel with 13 year old hookers. It has everything you could want corruption and sleazy action at tax funded organizations that’s got government ties. But nobody’s covering that story why?

Charlie Gibson: (laugh) I don’t even know about it. Uh, so you got me at a loss, I don’t know. Uh, uh, but, but My goodness if it’s got everything including sleaziness in it we should talk about it this morning.

Roma: This is the American way…

Charlie Gibson: Well maybe, maybe that’s one you just leave to the cables.

Roma: Well I think that this is a huge issue because there’s so much funding that goes into this organization and it’s a multi…

Charlie Gibson: Well, I know we’ve done some stories about ACORN before but uh, uh this one I don’t know about.

Roma: Jake Tapper did some blogging on it. I know he’s at least blogged once on this scandal.

Charlie Gibson: You guys, you guys are really up on the uh on the website.

Don't you think that the anchorman of one of the big three news outfits should have a clue about a scandal involving tax cheating and child prostitution connected to an organization taking millions in tax payer dollars and one with close ties to the Obama White House? Isn't it newsworthy in the the same way as the "culture of corruption" Democrats used to howl about?

Don't Americans have a right to know?

Dem Congressman: Joe Wilson Makes Lynching O.K.

What is WRONG with these racebaiters?

"I guess we'll have folks putting on white hoods and robes again and riding through the countryside intimidating people." -- Congressman Hank Johnson (D-GA)

Congressman Wilson is the "face" of the new KKK?

These are the words and thoughts of the congressman who replaced the nutjob Cynthia McKinney, famous for slapping a Capitol Hill policeman who didn't recognize her and asked for her I.D. Apparently, she's not the only racebaiting fool in Georgia's 4th Congressional District.

Besides, the only member of the U.S. Congress who DID wear the white hood is U.S. Senator Robert Byrd... A DEMOCRAT!

The past few months Democrats have called those of us who dissent from their plans for a socialist makeover of America every name in the book. Then they have the nerve to suggest that the bad feelings that result are all our fault. But this is a new low!

U.S. Senate Votes 83-7 to Ban ACORN from Housing Grants

Now THAT is what I call bipartisan!

Monday evening, the Senate approved a measure sponsored by Senator Mike Johanns (R-NE) that would block ACORN from receiving grants for mortgage counseling, Community Development Block Grants, the Neighborhood Stabilization Program, and other programs.

Such a provision is not included in the House version of the housing bill, so it will not become law unless House negotiators approve of the change to the bill in conference.

With ACORN under fire for enabling child prostitution, tax cheating, voter registration fraud and embezzlement it's about time Congress started to bar the group from collecting federal funds. ACORN has recieved $53 million in taxpayer funds. Under the similus bill ACORN is eligible for grants totaling billions of dollars.

What a shame that the U.S. Senate and House could not move forward with the same bipartisan spirit in other areas where strong agreement exists. Instead Democrats continue to try and force their radical plans like health care and cap and tax down our throats!

Largest Political Protest in History was More "Green" Than Obama Inaugural!

When it comes to trash, Dems count on someone else to pick it up. Conservatives can clean up after themselves!

By any reasonable estimate, the crowds which showed up in Washington, DC Saturday, September 12th for the National Tea Party were the largest crowd every assembled on the mall for any kind of protest. The government no longer releases official figures so, it's impossible to say exactly how many, but Skye , Always On Watch , Michelle Malkin and others have compared the aerial views of the crowds at Obama's "Green" Inaugural to that of the 9/12 march. Obama's crowd was concentrated into a much narrower band than the 9/12 march which was spread all over the West Front of the Capitol and filled major arteries on both sides (photo).

But let's not quibble by comparing Obama's crowd which was bussed in by union and ACORN thugs who paid for the transport of willing dupes and the 9/12'ers who paid their own way. I'd rather compare the scene AFTER both events. Obama billed his inaugural as a "green" environmentally friendly event. Here's one of many similar views of the National Mall as his crowds dispersed:

Photobucket

Here's the National Mall as the 9/12'ers were heading out:

How a crowd leaves an area after the event is over says alot about what kind of people they are. Clearly the 9/12'ers are good citizens who can clean up after themselves.

"They Can't Stop Us!" Obama Makes Disgusting Partisan Attack in Minnesota Speech Saturday!

Is this the same man who promised a new era of bipartisanship and working with both sides to solve problems?

That was just another of his LIES!

On a day when hundreds of thousands of citizens gathered in Washington, DC to demand their voices be heard, Obama was in Minnesota. The first 48 seconds are all you need to hear:

OBAMA: "They can't stop us."

Who is "they?" Seems to me his biggest obstacle in his overreaching bid for a government takeover of health care are members of his own party!

This speech is another demonstration of the real Barack Hussein Obama. A hardcore liberal who refuses to compromise and can't break away from campaign mode.

If the man had spent HALF the time he has in campaign mode by instead working with Republicans , he might have a health care bill by now. But it seems that attack mode is all the man knows.

A perpetual partisan campaign is not the way to provide presidential leadership on the really big and important issues. Obama's arrogant attack campaign will only generate more negativity towards his Administration from Independents and Republicans alike.

Conservative Grass Roots Show Power in Supporting "You Lie" Wilson

Congressman Joe Wilson surpasses $1 million in contributions since challenging Obama! Some want him named "Truth Czar!"

Conservatives who wanted a champion not afraid to take the fight to Obama have found a hero in Joe Wilson, my congressman, who catapulted to fame by shouting "You LIE" at President Obama when he falsely claimed that WE were the ones lying about illegal immigrants qualifying for benefits under Democrat health care takeover plans!

Contributions have poured in from across the country from disaffected citizens willing to vote NO on Obama with their checkbooks by supporting a conservative like Joe.

Over one million in contributions have poured in thus far, surpassing the early lead his opponent briefly held.

Ben Smith at the Politico describes the wave of support Joe is experiencing this way:

Wilson's success -- despite having been criticized by Republican leaders -- represents the power of the conservative grassroots to reward politicians who confront the White House in the sharpest terms.
As I have said repeatedly to fellow conservatives who are frequently upset with what they see as lackluster leadership from GOP elected officials, go out and find solid conservatives you can support enthusiastically and put your money where your mouth is!

Visit Joe's web site if you want to join me and the throng of well wishers willing to pony up to help this conservative champion. Even if you only give a few dollars, you'll be making a statement that cannot be ignored. At the site you'll see the video where Joe explains that despite his apology to President Obama, he's not backing down from defending our viewpoint.

White House Concedes on Illegal Immigrant Benefit Ban

So I guess Cong. Joe Wilson was right all along when he told Obama "You Lie!"

When President Obama insisted that illegal immigrants would not be able to participate in the Dem plan for a government takeover of health care my Congressman, Joe Wilson, snapped and yelled "you lie."

PhotobucketWhite House transcript, presidential address to a joint session of Congress September 9, 2009:

OBMAMA: There are also those who claim that our reform efforts would insure illegal immigrants. This, too, is false. The reforms -- the reforms I'm proposing would not apply to those who are here illegally.

CONG. JOE WILSON: You lie! (Boos.)

THE PRESIDENT: It's not true.

The Congressional Research Service report clearly indicates that the bills before Congress lack an enforcement provision which would prohibit illegal aliens from taking advantage of this bill. Furthermore, in House committees Democrats voted against Republican backed amendments which would have addressed the issue.

White House Changes Tune: Admits Need for Enforcement!

Late Friday, after most people were busy with weekend plans, the White House released a statement to the news media. The statement is so embarrassing to President Obama's already shattered credibility that you won't even find it on the White House web site.

WH statement released to NBC news: Verification will be required when purchasing health insurance on the exchange. One option is the SAVE program (Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements) which states currently use to make sure that undocumented immigrants don't participate in safety-net programs for which they are ineligible.

Of course this changes nothing in either House or Senate bills. Obama made a lot of promises in his speech Tuesday, but that doesn't make it law.

Support Joe Wilson

Congressman Wilson immediately apologized for his outburst, but has been viciously attacked for stating the truth. Without Joe's outburst, Obama would be continuing to lie about the illegal immigrant issue in health care just as he lies by saying that abortion would not be covered or that if you like your current doctor and health plan, you can keep them.

The haters on the left are pouring money into the coffers of Joe Wilson's opponent for the 2nd district of South Carolina congressional seat. I encourage readers to show their support for Joe Wilson by donating what you can to help him fend off this assault. I made my contribution today and urge you to do the same.

If we lose conservatives like Joe Wilson, or my Senator Jim DeMint, who is also up for re-election in 2010, we lose the foundation for a conservative comeback. Don't let that happen!

World's Oldest Obama Voter Dies at 115

She never would have made it that far if Obama's death panels were in place!

Photobucket

In this April 6, 2009 file photo Guinness World Records' gerontology consultant Robert Young, left, presents Gertrude Baines with a certificate naming her the world's oldest person living, as she celebrates her 115th birthday at the Western Convalescent Hospital in Los Angeles. Baines died in a Los Angeles hospital Sept. 11, 2009 said Dr. Charles Witt.

Baines celebrated her birthday at the nursing home April 6 with music, two cakes and a letter from President Barack Obama, whom she voted for in November.

Featured on local television newscasts when she cast her ballot, Baines, who is black, said she backed him "because he's for the colored." She said she never thought she would live to see a black man become president.

"We were hoping to have her until the next election," Exconde said. "We'll miss her."

You mean to tell me that America's racist health care system took care of a black maid for decades without dumping her? SHOCKING! Who knew?
