Big Loser in GOP Debate? The Media. CNBC's Moderators Were an Embarrassment to Journalism

They would never ask such sneering questions of Hillary Clinton!

What a farce! In a report prior to Wednesday's GOP debate in Colorado it was suggested that CNBC  would bring "gravitas" to the proceedings and focus on the economic issues Americans care about. Instead it was embarrassing. Just to show how confused CNBC was going into the debate another report had Carl Quintanilla one of the CNBC moderators describing how they sought to get "big fireworks." In that they succeeded. But at the expense of substance.

Here's a sampling of some of the gotcha questions that were asked. Note the number of times the crowd groans in disapproval and even boos:

Texas Senator Ted Cruz summed up the feelings of the audience and many on the stage with this response to CNBC's shenanigans:

CRUZ: “The questions that have been asked so far in this debate illustrate why the American people don’t trust the media.

This is not a cage match. And if you look at the questions—Donald Trump, are you a comic book villain? Ben Carson, can you do math? John Kasich, will you insult two people over here? Marco Rubio, why don’t you resign? Jeb Bush, why have your numbers fallen? How about talking about the substantive issues people care about?”
NJ Governor Chris Christy got in the act too: “Wait a second. We have $19 trillion in debt. We have people out of work. We have ISIS and al-Qaida attacking us, and we’re talking about fantasy football?!”

Then there was this from Florida Senator Marco Rubio:

RUBIO: OK. I know the Democrats have the ultimate SuperPac. It’s called the mainstream media ... Last week, Hillary Clinton went before a committee. She admitted she had sent e-mails to her family saying, “Hey, this attack at Benghazi was caused by Al Qaida-like elements.” She spent over a week telling the families of those victims and the American people that it was because of a video. And yet the mainstream media is going around saying it was the greatest week in Hillary Clinton’s campaign. It was the week she got exposed as a liar. It was the week that she got exposed as a liar…
But she has her super PAC helping her out, the American mainstream media.
Winners: Rubio, Cruz, Christie?
Trump finally let some other candidates have more speaking time. That's a first!

Marco Rubio continues to perform well in debates and may be prepared for a breakout in the polls following his excellent performance tonight. Likewise with Ted Cruz. Chris Christie deserves a mention because he may have saved himself from being lost in the back of the pack.

It was a bad night for former Florida Governor Jeb Bush whose campaign has been struggling recently. His answers are somewhat technical and he really doesn't seem to be enjoying himself. Jeb has the money to stay the distance after reigning in campaign spending so he won't be going anywhere soon.

As for the others, they all had good moments. But for back of the pack candidates like Ohio Governor John Kaisch, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee and Kentucky Senator Rand Paul their campaigns need a breakout moment. Tonight wasn't it.

Former Hewlett Packard CEO Carly Fiorina needs to turn around sagging poll numbers. She spoke the most during the debate. Will that help? And Developer Donald Trump seemed to behave himself more tonight. Is this a new more serious side of Trump? Stay tuned!

UPDATE: Ratings 9 million fewer than previous debates. That's down in the same territory as the Dem debate. No wonder, it was on a Dem station!

The Syrian Migration Crisis Did Not Have to Happen But Once Again Obama Ignored the Lessons of History

His warped left wing world view that America should pull back from leading has created a powder keg for the future!

It didn't have to be this way:

Refugees on the march through Slovenia headed for Western Europe. Millions are on the move.
Three years ago Obama declared a red line in Syria and warned that there would be consequences if Syria's ruler Assad used chemical weapons. Assad ignored Obama without suffering any consequence and this was one of the results:
Syrian children killed by chemical weapon attack. Red line crossed and Obama did nothing!
In the wake of these crimes against humanity the world waited for leadership and action. None was forthcoming. Syria's cities continued to be turned into bombed out ruins. Is it any wonder so many have fled?

Mostly Syrian men of fighting age wait at the Budapest Hungary train station for a way to reach Western Europe.
The migrant wave consisting mostly of young men are fleeing to Western Europe. But already they are expressing their dissatisfaction with their new home. The Daily Express in London published an article titled "'Bored' migrants BEMOAN lack of cash to buy cigarettes and slow internet in camps." Boredom? Lack of money to buy cigarettes and poor internet? Can you imagine what will happen when the refugees are resettled in their ultimate destination and find themselves segregated by their poor grasp of the native language, unable to find work and nothing to do? It's a breeding ground for trouble and the potential for Muslim radicalism is high.

The lesson from 20th Century history is that you are better off taking effective, though difficult, action when a problem is small than you are if you wait until it gets worse. It would have been difficult for Obama to lead an international effort to address the Syrian crisis in it's infancy but the problem and is far larger now and will only get worse. The consequences will be far reaching.

Unfortunately, Obama was raised on a diet of far left ideology that always blames America first. He has deliberately pulled back from leadership, especially in difficult situations and the consequences of America's failure are there for all to see. War is not receding into the past as Obama naively hoped it would. The threats to world peace and the consequent assault on human rights and justice are growing daily. Hillary Clinton, who as Secretary of State also presided over this mess must bear some responsibility for the mess.

We've tried it Neville Chamberlain's way. It's time for another Churchill!

Carly Fiorina Visits Mike's America

A full house in Mike's neighborhood gives Carly the thumbs up!

Apologies for the terrible photo but the lighting in this community hall is especially bad and the better photos of the candidate were worse for lighting. But that didn't dampen the enthusiasm of hundreds of local residents who turned out to see Carly Fiorina in my South Carolina neighborhood this afternoon.

Carly gave her usual impressive stump speech which hit all the right notes with this crowd then followed it up with a free-wheeling Q&A session. Unlike some of the mega events held by candidates like Donald Trump this opportunity to quiz the candidate gives locals the opportunity to really see whether Fiorina fits with with the voters vision of where the country needs to be headed. She did  not disappoint.

Due to lack of notice for this event (I only found out about it as it was underway) I did not have time to get a notepad and record more of the event. I did let Fiorina's South Carolina campaign team know that they need to do a better job publicizing her events. That's one of Fiorina's weaknesses that she doesn't have a seasoned campaign team (most were 20-30 somethings) and a more effective organization.

As I mentioned below Fiorina has taken a downward dip in the latest polls. But there's no reason she can't turn that around with another strong debate performance. Still, with a little over $5 million in the bank she's far behind the middle ground contenders. She'll need to make up ground in the money race if she wishes to improve her campaign organization!

2016 GOP Polling Update

From Real Clear Politics an average of national GOP 2016 polls. Click link for more information.

Both Carson and Trump have dipped up from a September slump and maintain their dominance in national polls. Carly Fiorina is having an October slump. Meanwhile Ted Cruz has been ticking up and now ties with Rubio and Bush.

On Wednesday, October 28 CNBC will host the next GOP debate. I will update the polling graphic again after new polling comes in.

Ted Cruz, Likable and Conservative

After dismissing Ted Cruz's chances, the politics web site 538 comes out with a more favorable view of the Texas Senator's chances. Among the metrics that persuaded the writer to give Ted another chance were these based on polling of likely GOP primary voters:

Don't forget... Debate on Wednesday, October 28!

Benghazi Committee Reveals Smoking Gun: Hillary Lied About Video Protest. Knew All Along It was Terrorist Attack

Documents reveal that Obama White House was also behind the big lie!

The night of the attack Hillary emailed her daughter Chelsea (full email). Note that Hillary names "an Al Queda-like group" being responsible. No mention of a video or protest:

Yet, the same night of the attack Hillary blamed a You Tube video in an official State Department statement on the attack.

The next day State Department document records call between Secretary Clinton and Egyptian Prime Minister:
Hillary: "We know that the attack in Libya had nothing to do with the film. It was a planned attack- not a protest."
But in public, Hillary and Obama continued the lie that a video was to blame. State Dept. employees were puzzled by the claim:
In a series of e-mails shown by Jordan, experts in the State Department’s Near East Affairs Bureau are shown reacting dubiously to Rice’s claim. “I think Rice was off the reservation on this one,” one wrote. “Off the reservation on five networks!” another responded. Another e-mail said the “WH [was] very worried about the politics. This was all their doing.”
Email from the White House aide Ben Rhodes confirms: “Goal”: “To underscore that these protests are rooted in and Internet video, and not a broader failure or policy.” Clearly, the White House didn't want Obama blamed for this mess during the presidential election campaign where Obama repeatedly claimed "Al Queda is on the run."

Here's the full presentation by Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) in Benghazi hearings on Thursday:

REP. JIM JORDAN (R-OH): Everything points to a terrorist attack. We just heard from Mr. Pompeo about the long history of terrorist incidents, terrorist violence in the country.

And yet five days later Susan Rice goes on five TV shows and she says this, "Benghazi was a spontaneous reaction as a consequence of a video," a statement we all know is false. But don't take my word for it. Here's what others have said.

"Rice was off the reservation," off the reservation on five networks, White House worried about the politics. Republicans didn't make those statements. They were made by the people who worked for you in the Near Eastern Affairs bureau, the actual experts on Libya in the State Department.

So if there's no evidence for a video-inspired protest, then where did the false narrative start?

It started with you, Madam Secretary.

At 10:08, on the night of the attack, you released this statement, "Some have sought to justify the vicious behavior as a response to inflammatory material posted on the Internet."

At 10:08, with no evidence, at 10:08, before the attack is over, at 10:08, when Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty are still on the roof of the annex, fighting for their lives, the official statement of the State Department blames a video.

We know the answer to that question now. Hillary lied to the families of our fallen heroes. She lied to the American people. Why? To cover up her failures as Secretary of State and the failure of the Obama Administration which falsely claimed we were winning the war on terror.

The fact that Obama and Hillary put politics above national security and the lives of Americans won't surprise anyone who has witnessed the foreign policy debacles across the board these last six and a half years. But this record of LIES should disqualify Hillary or any Democrat involved from gaining higher office!

Even NYTimes Analysis Admits Tax Increases on the Wealthy Won't Pay for Democrat Spending

You could never raise taxes on the rich high enough to pay for all Democrats giveaways!

An interesting article in the New York Times analyzes how much money tax increases on the wealthy could bring in to fund federal programs. While the article is very "rah-rah" for tax increases, even large increases on the rich wouldn't be enough to pay off the current federal deficit let alone the new spending that Democrat presidential candidates are proposing.

As a side note, Democrats are always talking about income inequality. The rich are getting richer while the rest of us are getting hosed. Very true. Under Obama's economic stewardship the rich have been getting richer. Nothing to do with Republicans.

My solution? I might not object to a modest increase in taxes for people at the very top. But only if that was paired with equal cuts in spending. Democrats always talk about fairness and my proposal is fair. But you can bet they would never agree to it. In the end Democrats don't care if we actually pay for the programs they demand. It's much easier for them to demagogue the rich while demanding more and more spending!

Who is Winning the 2016 Money Race? Plus, a Democrat War About the Coronation of Hillary?

It's  getting interesting!

Third quarter fundraising and spending reports for 2016 presidential candidates are in. The New York Times has a great visual summary of the information. The graphics below are an excerpt (and grainy images at that). To see the full graphic, go here.

Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders may top the chart for contributions to their individual campaigns, but note that total contributions to GOP candidates is greater.  Does that indicate greater interest in GOP campaigns? Well, that would match with the blowout of viewership for GOP debates which was NOT matched by the Dems.

Cash on hand shows the potential ability of candidates to organize and advertise as the first caucuses and primaries approach in February. For the GOP, note the strength of Ted Cruz followed by Carson, Rubio and Bush. This is not to say that one of those with fewer dollars couldn't emerge to take an early prize in states like Iowa or New Hampshire. It just means that such an outcome is less likely.

A lot of candidate money has already been spent on organization. And don't forget the Super PACS which are ready to step in. The chart above shows Bush, Cruz and Rubio in the stronger position.

Finally, from Real Clear Politics the updated chart for GOP candidates polling averages. Note that Fiorina has taken a three point dip while Ted Cruz seems to be slowly and steadily gaining. Rubi, Fiorina, Cruz and Bush are now clustered as the underdog alternatives to Trump and Carson. Money may make the critical difference for who emerges as that underdog champion.

Democrat Insurrection Over Hillary's Rigged Coronation

A month ago I shared with you the open rebellion in the Democrat grassroots over debate schedules that seemed designed to favor Hillary Clinton. Since then things have gotten worse, not better. Top party leaders are now openly criticizing DNC chief Debbie Wasserman Shultz for shutting down discussion and ramming through a pro-Hillary process (1,2). It seems that Debbie is about as popular among the Democrat rank and file as she is among Republicans. Oh joy!

The next GOP debate is October 28 on CNBC. After that, expect to see a winnowing of the GOP field. But even then, we're still months away from the first real contests and anything can happen!

Was That a Democrat Debate or a Socialist Love Fest?

What a perfect illustration of how corrupt and out of touch Democrat candidates are with mainstream America!

Tuesday's Democrat debate was a snooze fest. It's no surprise that it got nine million fewer viewers than the GOP debate or that CBS's crime drama NCIS got more viewers. Stunning record numbers for the GOP debates are proof that Americans are clamoring for some real answers. Instead, Democrats on the debate stage in Las Vegas on Tuesday went out of their way to outpander the other candidates and see who could promise the most goodies and offer the fewest real solutions to the problems confronting mainstream America.

Outside of the usual Robin Hood take from the rich and  give to the poor Democrat playbook, candidates didn't come up with any new ideas to grow the economy. Instead, they seemed eager to do all they could to punish job creators and slow the economy in the same way Obama has done these past six and a half years.

There was little mention of national security and foreign policy with candidates like Bernie Sanders suggesting that global warming was a bigger threat than Russia or ISIS. When asked to name their enemies, the candidates all listed Americans as their target. Not one suggested ISIS or Russia.

All Hail Hillary!

But as Forrest Gump said "stupid is as stupid does" so that part of the snooze-a-thon didn't surprise me. What did surprise me was the announced policy of the moderator Anderson Cooper to avoid provoking any kind of confrontation between the candidates. Could it be that the moderator, himself a former member of the Clinton Global Initiative wanted to make things as smooth as possible for Hillary?

Even more surprising was the lack of any real effort by other candidates to attack Hillary, the frontrunner. Have they realized they stand no chance of winning the nomination and are just here for show? Bernie Sanders, Hillary's chief challenger went further by saying he didn't want to talk about Hillary's email problem. That view may be popular  inside Democrat circles but Middle America wants to know what Hillary is hiding and why she has repeatedly lied about her email.

Oh, and should I point out that all the candidates were white? The GOP debate had not just a woman, but two Hispanics a black man and an Indian. The GOP is the real party of diversity when it counts!

The funny thing about this debate is how the candidates complained about how our capitalist system was rigged in favor of the big guys while this debate was clearly rigged in favor of Hillary Clinton. And CNN willingly participated in that. Hillary is the crowned queen of Democrat crony capitialists. Screw the little guy!

We didn't learn anything new from Democrats on Tuesday. We already knew that they will say anything and promise anything to get elected. And from the weak ratings it would appear that Middle America knows this too. A debate rigged in favor of Hillary may not be enough to save her!

"Truth" Movie Proves Once Again There's No Lie Too Big for the Left if It Serves Their Agenda

Movie attempts to make heroes out of liars all for the cause. Is it any wonder the left does the same thing with race relations, global warming and so much else?

Remember the phony Bush National Guard story that CBS News anchor Dan Rather tried to use to swing the 2004 presidential election to John Kerry? Four people at CBS, including Dan Rather were fired after a 244 page report on the investigation by an independent team at CBS found Rather's report violated the "core principles of fairness and accuracy" at CBS News and that the authenticity of the documents was never verified. Also, when questions were raised about their reporting Rather and his team dug in their heels and "virtually no attempt was made to determine whether the questions raised had merit."

Four CBS personnel, including anchor Dan Rather were fired for their part in the charade.

Well, lying libs never give up. Now, the movie "Truth" is trying to make heroes of Dan Rather, his producer and the team that cooked up and spread that big lie. Dan Rather attended a premier for the film in Toronto where he took back his previous apology  and statement that he "no longer ha[s] confidence in these documents" and now says that "there has never been any doubt the story was true."

Responding to the film, CBS News had this statement:
“It’s astounding how little truth there is in ‘Truth,’” a CBS spokesman said in response to Variety’s inquiry. “There are, in fact, too many distortions, evasions and baseless conspiracy theories to enumerate them all. The film tries to turn gross errors of journalism and judgment into acts of heroism and martyrdom. That’s a disservice not just to the public but to journalists across the world who go out every day and do everything within their power, sometimes at great risk to themselves, to get the story right.”
But no doubt Rather and the others involved will find some way to profit from this new adventure in truth telling.

No truth in truth?

It wouldn't be the first time and it won't be the last. How many times has Obama or some other Dem big wig told you that 97% of scientists agree man is to blame for global warming. Except it isn't true and everyone who pays the slightest attention knows it (1,2). Just like the lie that extreme weather events are increasing when for the most part they are either staying the same or decreasing. Or the whole "hands up don't shoot" lie from Ferguson Missouri all started by Mike Brown's accomplice in crime and refuted in sworn testimony by every other witness!

You have to hand it to the left. Not only do they keep on repeating the lies to suck in the gullible (Stalin called them "useful idiots") they make heroes of the liars and find a way to enrich them with book and film deals (or in the case of global warming an endless gravy train of government grants). Those on the right could never pull off the same scam. They would be hounded by the very same media that continues to look the other way at the left's lies!

Obama's Looming Surrender in Syria Has Consequences Far Beyond Middle East

This is worse than Poland in 1939. At least then Brisith Prime Minister Chamberlain realized his policy of appeasement was wrong!

It's official. The Obama Administration has thrown in the towel (a WHITE towel) on their plan to train and arm Syrian rebels. For over a year that has been Obama's ONLY plan to defeat ISIS in Syria and topple Assad.

Now the brilliant arm chair generals in the White House are insisting they will directly arm Syrian opposition fighters already in the field. This is something they could have done years ago when it might have done some good. But now that Russia and Iran are carving up Syria even that belated change in policy stands little chance of success.

Russians not bomb shy when it comes to exerting their national interest.
Bombing U.S. allies because they know they can!
And while Syrian forces nominally allied to the United States are begging for help they are still not getting it. Instead, they are being bombed by the Russians and attacked by Iranian ground troops.

Behind the scenes, rumors abound that Obama is about to surrender in Syria. It would be another significant strategic defeat for the United States. Some might ask, isn't that exactly what Obama wanted?

Russians in Iraq too?

Meanwhile, the Iraqi Prime Minister, no stranger to Obama's weak, feckless approach to fighting ISIS may even "welcome" Russian forces to fight in Iraq!

General: Russian Move Signals Danger in Europe Too

Testifying before the Senate Armed Services Committee retired General Jack Keane warns that Russia (I would include Iran as well) is waging "a proxy war" against the United States:
Putin, believing U.S. and European leadership to be weak, “is counting on the U.S. fear of escalation and fear of confrontation to stop any thought of retaliation.”

“Historically, aggression unanswered, has led to more aggression.”

“If we continue to wring our hands and continue to be dominated by fear and opposed to instilling fear, then Russian aggression will not just advance in the Middle East – it will with certainty escalate in the Baltics and eastern Europe,” Keane said.
Putin has already dismantled Ukraine and Obama did nothing. Now consider this:

Russian invasion of Syria gives base of operations effecting large portions of the Middle East.
This can't be a good thing!
Around the world the bad guys are growing in strength and daring. Hitherto kept in check by a strong and determined United States there is a growing danger to peace and security. You can thank Obama for that!

If Showtime's "Homeland" Writers Understand Nature of Islamic Terrorism Why Can't Obama?

When fiction writers get it and Obama doesn't there is something WRONG!

Watch this:

We have no strategy!
“The only book they ever read, they read it all the time, they never stop. They’re there for one reason and one reason only: to die for the caliphate and usher in a world without infidels…
And what are we doing about it? Pinprick air strikes! No wonder we are losing!

GOP Gets Second Chance to Get it Right After Rep. McCarthy Withdraws from Speaker's Race

But question emerges.... was McCarthy sabotaged by someone in the Obama Administration?

I am pleased with the news that Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) withdrew from the race to become Speaker of the House. We need some housecleaning in Congress and that means we need a Speaker who isn't just another member of the same GOP establishment that has been so ineffective in countering Obama.

Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI), Mitt Romney's running mate in the 2012 presidential election would be more than acceptable despite the fact that he's weak on immigration. At least he's only half beholden  to the establishment. Whether he can be persuaded to take that thankless job is another matter.

McCarthy's withdrawal shocked many. I'd like to believe it was a selfless act to bring the party together but a report from the Daily Caller raises serious questions regarding possible sabotage from someone at Obama's Department of Homeland Security alleging an affair between McCarthy and a female representative.

This comes on the heels of reports that the Secret Service leaked and distributed the private file of Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) another candidate for Speaker.

Sounds pretty much like the Chicago machine at work behind the scenes!

Despite all the dirty business, the unintended consequence of the saboteurs may be that it gives the GOP a second chance to get it right and elect a Speaker who will be more effective and actually counter Obama's unconstitutional actions. That would be the best revenge on the Chicago smear machine!

Residents of Roseburg Oregon Object to Obama "Campaign Stop" Visit Politicizing Shooting Tragedy

He's not welcome but he's going anyway. Way to intrude on the communities grief!

Most experts agree that there is not one new gun law that would have prevented the mass shooting tragedy in Roseburg Oregon last week. But that won't stop Obama from advancing a left wing anti-gun agenda even during a visit to the town where residents wish he would stay away.

The Publisher of the local Roseburg Beacon said Obama's visit would be “a campaign stop for agenda to take away American citizen’s right to own firearms.” Roseburg is very pro-Second Amendment and the Douglas County Sheriff has declared he will not enforce any unconstitutional gun grabs by Obama. Even one of the mother's of a shooting victim declared that she wished her daughter had been armed that day. As this report in the Los Angeles Times makes clear residents of Roseburg want no part of Obama's gun grabbing agenda.

Of course none of that will stop Obama. And it hardly matters to him whether his proposed solutions would actually halt gun violence. He's motivated more by politics and power than achievement.

Will Obama Denounce Anti-Christian violence?

Meanwhile, has Obama said one word about the anti-Christian hatred which apparently motivated the shooter? If so, I missed it. But you could not have missed Obama pointing out historic Christian wrongs on multiple occasions. One wonders if his overheated rhetoric (which he is so quick to denounce in others) contributed to this tragedy?

GOP Presidential Polling Update

Some settling for the top six but don't count out the underdogs just yet!

A slew of national polls over the weekend warrant an update to the Real Clear Politics graph:

Trump still leads overall but the Investor's Business Daily poll showed Carson in the lead. Either way the top of the field is Trump, Carson, Fiorina, Rubio, Bush and Cruz.

Expect to see fundraising reports for all the candidates prior to the October 15 deadline that will give a further indication of who might have a better chance to break out in 2016.

The next shakeout should occur following the October 28 debate.

Dems War on Women: Obama Policies Undo 27 Years of Progress for Women in the Workforce

What's more important for women: a job or abortion anytime, anywhere?

Rep. Elijah Cummings, top ranking Democrat on the  House Oversight Committee accused Republican members of that panel from waging  yet another "war on women" because they dared to ask tough questions of Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards who gets paid more than $500,000 a year to run the abortion mill which is currently subsidized with $500 million taxpayer dollars.

Apparently women are not able, and should not be expected to endure the same kind of accountability that men in the workplace face every day. Odd that the same people who scream RAPE when a conservative man even looks sideways at a woman were among those who pelted GOP candidate Carly Fiorina with condoms and insults the same week. Oh, but I forgot, that kind of micro-aggression, including violence, directed at Republican women is just fine! Score another point for left wing hypocrites.

Obama sends women back to the kitchen!

The Democrats war on women charade masks a nasty reality. Just as Obama playing to the #blacklivesmatter crowd masks the Democrats failure to create opportunity for black Americans mired in poverty, economic policies under Obama have set back employment for women to where it was in 1988.  The gains of the past few decades have been wiped out:

Democrats will continue with their phony charges of a GOP war on women because of the above failure. Millions of women have given up looking for work but Democrats will try and change the subject to talk about preserving Planned Parenthood's right to chop up and sell baby body parts!

Once Again Obama is Selective in Outrage After Oregon Shooting, Ignores Far Worse Gun Violence and Admits Politics Is Part of Scheme

Obama blamed the guns used but they were legal. He did NOT blame the shooter!

On Thursday Obama rushed to the microphone to weigh in on the Oregon mass killing before all the facts had even been released. In a 12 minute speech he managed to make reference to himself 28 times but said little else that has not been said before. And he continued to repeat the same worn out falsehoods that are so easily debunked. Example:
OBAMA:We know that states with the most gun laws tend to have the fewest gun deaths. So the notion that gun laws don't work, or just will make it harder for law-abiding citizens and criminals will still get their guns is not borne out by the evidence.
Odd that he would say that because the guns used were all purchased legal. Odder still because Obama is from Chicago which along with the state of Illinois has some of the toughest gun control laws in the country. Yet the killing spree among blacks in Chicago continues unabated. 14 people were shot in 15 hours on Monday with six dead. Among the victims were two children. Do #blacklivesmatter to Obama? Apparently not as he's rarely if ever addressed the problem. And this week was not unusual for Chicago. 2015 may break a record for gun homicides during the presidency of Obama. Here's the carnage report for September:

Chicago on the way to break murder record during Obama presidency. But apparently black lives don't matter.
Obama rarely if ever addresses the problem and NEVER addresses the underlying cause!
Further undermining any credibility he may have Obama admitted that he was ready to politicize the Oregon shooting tragedy when he admitted "this is something we should politicize." Also curious for it's absence was any condemnation by Obama of the shooter. The best he could do was say "anybody who does this has a sickness in their minds," yet he offered NO new proposals on what to do about that root cause. Millions of Americans walk around with guns every day and don't commit mass murder. Yet Obama wants to take action that punishes them, while not addressing the real problem of mental illness.

Obama also mentioned other countries with strict gun laws and fewer mass shootings. Noticeable by it's omission was France, which has strict gun laws but those laws did not stop terrorists in France from killing 12 earlier this year or a lone gunman on a train who attempted to kill fellow passengers but was stopped by young American tourists.

Obama and the left are locked into rhetoric which does nothing to address the real problem and only serves to perpetuate ideological myths. Just as they do with global warming/climate change facts do not matter. And the killing spree in Chicago and other cities run by Democrats continues!
