Happy 2015!

There is reason for optimism but prepare for the worst!

Sydney Australia is the first major metropolitan center across the International Date Line and so, kicks off the New Year's celebration every year with a HUGE fireworks display in the harbor. The Sydney Morning Herald has a photo wrap up with fantastic images. There's a video of the display here.

I'm looking forward to the adults being back in charge of both houses of the U.S. Congress. Finally, we can take at least a few steps to contain the damage of Obama's reckless presidency. But, warped, naive and rigid ideological perspective will continue to cause problems for the U.S. at home and abroad. To paraphrase Obama's Rev. Wright, the chickens are coming home to roost. I don't see many bright spots as I look around the globe or at home.

Still, with every good wish for the New Year....
HAPPY NEW YEAR

Protests Against Cops Obscure REAL Problems in Black Community

Why is it that protesters and politicians want to talk about anything but the real problem?

While the rest of us were singing Silent Night on Christmas Eve, blacks were killing other blacks in Chicago. Over the holiday weekend 5 were killed and 20 were wounded. Mostly black. There were no protests. No one carried signs that said "black lives matter." None of those killed or wounded were shot by police.

The real problems in the black community go unanswered year after year as the death toll mounts. Beyond the death toll there is withering economic and societal decline. Yet no one wants to talk about that. Democrats have been managing these centers of urban decay for years and no one seems to care about the consequences of their policies.

What are the consequences? Walter E. Williams, Distinguished Professor of Economics at George Mason University writes:
A good start to meeting that challenge is to recognize that much of the pathology seen in many black communities is entirely new in black history. Let's look at some of that history. In the late 1800s, depending on the city, 70 to 80 percent of black households were two-parent. In 1925 New York City, 85 percent of black households were two-parent. As late as 1950, only 18 percent of black households were single-parent. From 1890 to 1940, a slightly higher percentage of black adults had married than white adults. In 1940, black illegitimacy was about 14 percent.

Today it's an entirely different story. Black illegitimacy is 75 percent. Close to 50 percent of marriage-age blacks never marry. Close to 70 percent of black households are female-headed. If one thinks family structure doesn't matter, consider that the poverty rate among black female-headed families is about 47 percent but among married families it has been in the single digits for more than two decades. It's not just poverty. Children raised by single parents are likelier to be physically abused; use drugs; engage in violent, delinquent and criminal behavior; have emotional and behavioral problems; and drop out of school.

What about employment? Every census from 1890 to 1950 showed that black labor force participation rates were higher than those of whites. Today it's a mere fraction. Prior to the mid-'50s, the unemployment rate for black 16- and 17-year-olds was under 10 percent and less than that of whites. Who would argue that this more favorable employment picture was because there was less racial discrimination in the job market in earlier times? Labor laws such as the Davis-Bacon Act of 1931 — a federal minimum wage law for construction workers — and the 1938 federal minimum wage law for all workers reduced work opportunities for blacks.

Then there's the high crime rate. Each year, roughly 7,000 blacks are murdered. Ninety-four percent of the time, the murderer is another black person. Though blacks are 13 percent of the nation's population, they are more than 50 percent of homicide victims. Nationally, the black homicide victimization rate is six times that of whites, and in some cities, it's 22 times that of whites. Along with being most of the nation's homicide victims, blacks are most of the victims of violent personal crimes, such as assault and robbery.

Older black people, who were raised in an era when there was far greater discrimination and who faced far fewer opportunities, need to speak out against behavior and excuses that their parents would have never accepted. Otherwise, the race hustlers, poverty pimps and white liberals will continue with the narrative that black problems are a result of racism and racist cops and condemn future generations of blacks to a lifetime of mediocrity.
Ironic isn't it that in many ways blacks were better off in America's supposedly racist past? And you can't argue with Williams. He's black and if you disagree, you are by definition a racist! Hasn't Obama and Holder taught us that?

How many tens of thousands more black lives will be lost in 2015 and the years beyond as the left continues to do all it can to ignore the real problem?

Over 20,000 Cops Mourn NYPD Loss as War on Cops Continues

Obama, Holder, Sharpton and DeBlasio to blame!

The funeral of NYPD's Rafael Ramos on Saturday. More photos at the Daily Mail.
Over 20,000 law enforcement officers from across the nation showed up to honor Ramos. Many turned their backs on Mayor Bill DeBlasio who has blamed problems with the NYPD on racism despite the fact that the department is over 60% non white. Vice President Biden got a better reception when he said the NYPD was "probably the finest police department in the world." Obama, Sharpton and Holder choose not to attend.

Meanwhile the War on Police inspired by Obama, Holder, Sharpton and DeBlasio continues with protests organized by communist groups. Encouraged by the protest a lefty loon in Massachusetts walked into a Framingham police station and tossed raw bacon and sausages saying it was "time to feed the pigs." On the more violent side two police officers in Los Angeles were fired upon as well as two Sheriff Deputies in Pasco County Florida.

13 year old Jaden Ramos, whose father was buried on Saturday, summed up the crisis and his personal loss:

"Everyone says they hate cops but they are the people that they call for help!" Only wrong about one thing Jaden. Not everyone hates cops. And not all of us think they are racists!

Merry Christmas!

And lefty trolls were snuggled all warm in their beds. With visions of socialism dancing in their heads!

skip a bit brother...

When out on the hill there arose such a clatter. Republicans would return and settle the matter.

No longer would Obama reign without shame. Republicans would control Congress and call him out by name.

All over the land a peace settled in. The adults were back and hope was restored!

The 2014 Christmas tree at the U.S. Capitol. The entire building now safely back in the hands of adults!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Obama: Censorship by Muslims OK. By North Koreans, Not So Much

If SONY had been hacked by Muslims SONY execs would be in jail!

Before taking off for vacation in Hawaii here's what Obama said about the SONY hacking case:
"We cannot have a society in which some dictators someplace can start imposing censorship here in the United States because if somebody is able to intimidate us out of releasing a satirical movie, imagine what they start doing once they see a documentary that they don't like or news reports that they don't like," Obama said. "That's not who we are. That's not what America is about."
Except of course when HE blamed a silly internet video critical of Muslims and said it had caused the attack on our compound in Benghazi killing four Americans including our Ambassador. Then he couldn't move fast enough to appease Muslims. Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, the man behind the video was arrested in the middle of the night and thrown in jail on trumped up charges. Is that "what America is about?"

One has to wonder if the North Koreans learned from that example that if they make demands like the pulling of the SONY film, The Interview, that Obama will cave. After all, Obama drew a red line in the sand over Syria's use of chemical weapons and backed down. He's not exactly known for standing up to dictators. Russia invading Crimea would be another example.

However you want to look at it the rising tide of challenges in foreign policy are mounting each month. Obama's inconsistent and wavering policy invites more trouble down the road!

Debunking the Cops Kill Blacks Lie

Sadly, facts don't matter in the face of ginned up hysteria!

In the run up to the fall election Democrats were only too eager to fan the flames of black anger towards the police. They used racist fliers in key races in an attempt to drive up the black vote. The effort wasn't enough to win those races and now Dems are stuck with angry blacks who believe the lies they have been told.

It's proving difficult to put the genie back in the bottle not that Obama or the Dems are trying very hard. We see the consequences of this racist political meme in the killing of two New York Police officers (both minorities by the way) by a shooter who took direct motivation from the anti-cop protests.

Yet, at the heart of these protests is a lie. Heather MacDonald writing at City Journal traces the meme and it's consequences and puts the "cops kill blacks" lie in perspective to the real epidemic of black deaths that goes unmentioned at all these protests.

The article is worth a read in it's entirety, but I'll condense it here for those with limited time:
HEATHER MAC DONALD
The Big Lie of the Anti-Cop Left Turns Lethal
The real story behind the murder of two NYPD officers
22 December 2014

Since last summer, a lie has overtaken significant parts of the country, resulting in growing mass hysteria. That lie holds that the police pose a mortal threat to black Americans—indeed that the police are the greatest threat facing black Americans today. Several subsidiary untruths buttress that central myth: that the criminal-justice system is biased against blacks; that the black underclass doesn’t exist; and that crime rates are comparable between blacks and whites—leaving disproportionate police action in minority neighborhoods unexplained without reference to racism. The poisonous effect of those lies has now manifested itself in the cold-blooded assassination of two NYPD officers.

The highest reaches of American society promulgated these untruths and participated in the mass hysteria. Following a grand jury’s decision not to indict a Ferguson, Missouri, police officer for fatally shooting 18-year-old Michael Brown in August (Brown had attacked the officer and tried to grab his gun), President Barack Obama announced that blacks were right to believe that the criminal-justice system was often stacked against them. Obama has travelled around the country since then buttressing that message. Eric Holder escalated a long running theme of his tenure as U.S. Attorney General—that the police routinely engaged in racial profiling and needed federal intervention to police properly.
...
The New York Times ratcheted up its already stratospheric level of anti-cop polemics. In an editorial justifying the Ferguson riots, the Timesclaimed that “the killing of young black men by police is a common feature of African-American life and a source of dread for black parents from coast to coast.” Some facts: Police killings of blacks are an extremely rare feature of black life and are a minute fraction of black homicide deaths. The police could end all killings of civilians tomorrow and it would have no effect on the black homicide risk, which comes overwhelmingly from other blacks. In 2013, there were 6,261 black homicide victims in the U.S.—almost all killed by black civilians—resulting in a death risk in inner cities that is ten times higher for blacks than for whites. None of those killings triggered mass protests; they are deemed normal and beneath notice. The police, by contrast, according to published reports, kill roughly 200 blacks a year, most of them armed and dangerous, out of about 40 million police-civilian contacts a year. Blacks are in fact killed by police at a lower rate than their threat to officers would predict. In 2013, blacks made up 42 percent of all cop killers whose race was known, even though blacks are only 13 percent of the nation’s population. The percentage of black suspects killed by the police nationally is 29 percent lower than the percentage of blacks mortally threatening them.

But among all the posturers, none was so preening as New York’s Mayor Bill de Blasio. In advance of a trip to Washington for a White House summit on policing, he told the press that a “scourge” of killings by police is “based not just on decades, but centuries of racism.” De Blasio embroidered on that theme several days later, after a Staten Island grand jury declined to indict an officer for homicide in Garner’s death. (The 350-pound asthmatic Garner had resisted arrest for the crime of selling loose cigarettes; officers brought him to the ground, provoking a fatal heart attack.) “People are saying: ‘Black lives matter,’” de Blasio announced after the grand jury concluded. “It should be self-evident, but our history requires us to say ‘black lives matter.’ It was not years of racism that brought us to this day, or decades of racism, but centuries of racism.” De Blasio added that he worries “every night” about the “dangers [his biracial son Dante] may face” from “officers who are paid to protect him.”

The only good that can come out of this wrenching attack on civilization would be the delegitimation of the lie-based protest movement. Whether that will happen is uncertain. The New York Times has denounced as “inflammatory” the statement from the head of the officer’s union that there is “blood on the hands that starts on the steps of City Hall”—this from a paper that promotes the idea that police officers routinely kill blacks. The elites’ investment in black victimology is probably too great to hope for an injection of truth into the dangerously counterfactual discourse about race, crime, and policing.
But as we have seen on numerous occasions the truth about this situation does not matter. It's the utility of the lie as a political football that allows it to continue. And as Dems fail to understand how they are responsible for ginning up this anger it's doubtful that Obama, Holder, Sharpton, DeBlasio will accept responsibility and do anything to stop the madness they have unleashed. In order to do that they might have to admit they were wrong and they will never do that!

Obama, DeBlasio, Sharpton & Holder Responsible for Execution Murder of Two Cops in New York

While lecturing the police on treatment of blacks they looked the other way as violent protests festered then exploded. How many more will die?

Remember how Obama liked to lecture the Tea Party on rhetoric? After the shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) [note, the seat was just won by a Republican] Obama told us "it's important for us to pause for a moment and make sure that we are talking with each other in a way that heals, not a way that wounds." Of course that call for civility was one sided as Democrats, including Vice President Biden continued to call Tea Partiers "terrorists."

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi also used to wag her finger at the Tea Party. She once scolded: "I think we all have to take action and responsibility for our words." Yet when liberal protesters demanded Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin (R) be removed from office "dead or alive" we didn't hear a peep about it. On the contrary, she called the Wisconsin protests "an extraordinary show of democracy in action."

In the wake of Grand Jury decision in Missouri Obama gave several speeches in which he had a few throwaway lines about the need to protest peacefully followed by paragraph after paragraph lecturing the police on the treatment of black people. Since then he's said little about the violence and civil unrest which has gripped major cities.

Did we hear Obama condemn the protesters who chanted "what do we want? DEAD COPS?" Not a word. You can imagine his response if the Tea Party did anything similar?

Meanwhile, the violence simmering just below the surface was allowed to fester and finally explode as a man who was directly inspired by the protests and violent rhetoric first shot his girlfriend in the stomach near Baltimore then got in his car and drove to New York City where he gunned down NYPD Officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos

NYPD Officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos, killed because
Obama and the left let the monster of racist violence loose!
Just to show how widespread this left wing culture of violence and hate has become, some at the scene shouted:
"Fuck the cops." One witness reported “A lot of people were clapping and laughing,” he said. “Some were saying, ‘They deserved it,’ and another was shouting at the cops, ‘Serves them right because you mistreat people!’” he said.
On Twitter people only celebrated the killing and cheered for the shooter. That's civility on the left!

Oh, Al Sharpton did make a statement decrying violence. But once again, that message is buried in the hate he spouts every day. No word from the White House. In a statement from Attorney General Holder he couldn't help get in a dig accusing cops of being distant from the communities they serve.

New York Mayor DeBlasio showed up at the hospital where the dead officers were taken and attempted to show he sympathized with the police. He was shunned by officers at the scene who turned their back to him. Along with Obama and the rest DeBlasio has made it clear he sides with protesters and accuses police of being the bigger problem.

After a short break, Obama, DeBlasio, Sharpton and Holder will go right on placing the blame for unrest on the police with only a few words warning against violence by others. But as the New York Patrolman's Benevolent Association President Patrick Lynch said late Saturday DeBlasio has "blood on his hands." So too for Obama and the rest who stood by and watched this happen!

Obama Unhinged: Politico Finds Obama Out for "Revenge" and Seeks to "Punish" Republicans

Does this sound like the kind of talk you would expect from a guy who claims he wants to work with both sides?

Writing at Politico Glenn Thrush notes that Obama will continue to make "the usual let’s-work-together" noises in press conferences and speeches but behind the scenes, Obama's is engaging in a take no prisoners strategy of confrontation and attack. Nothing new you say, but it is. On issues across the board Obama's stand on things like race, immigration and Cuba policy are more divisive and confrontational than in the past. Obama's got nothing to lose and he's hell bent on doubling down on the politics of attack even when the targets are members of his own party.

Deep down, Obama has always been a Chicago thug politician. In 2010 he told an Hispanic audience that political motivation should be to "punish our enemies..reward our friends." Yet the minute some Republican attacks him you'll hear him whine sanctimoniously about the need for civility in debate and can't we all get along. Then of course whoever criticizes him is a racist!

Obama is signaling that despite the massive GOP win in November he intends to continue ramming through policies that he knows the majority of Americans, as they expressed their will at the ballot box, oppose. He doesn't care. His legacy will be as the most divisive President EVER. As a result expect race relations and the partisan divide to worsen. Not that Obama cares!

Obama Change in Cuba Policy Based on Lies and Betrayal

Has Obama ever met a communist regime he didn't like?

What do you suppose Obama's attitude would be towards a right wing dictatorship that brutally repressed it's own people? He would demand sanctions and the full diplomatic and economic isolation of that regime. Remember South Africa before Mandela if you want an example.

But when it comes to Iran he decided negotiation was the way to go. Iran is still speeding towards getting a nuclear weapon which will further destabilize the Middle East. Obama "reset" relations with Russia and Putin responded by invading Ukraine.

Now, it's Cuba's turn. Team Obama says isolating Cuba hasn't worked so they're throwing in the towel and opening the floodgates to U.S. money. Just what the Cuban communist government needs as Venezuela, which previously subsidized them, is also on the ropes after the collapse of oil prices.

Obama left Cuban Democracy advocates in the cold on his decision. An editorial in the Washington Post titled "President Obama’s ‘betrayal’ of Cuban democrats" says it all:
Guillermo Fariñas, the general director of the dissidents’ United Anti-Totalitarian Front, told reporters in Havana that Mr. Obama had promised in a November 2013 meeting with himself and Ms. Soler that any U.S. action on Cuba “would be consulted with civil society and the nonviolent opposition. Obviously this didn’t happen . . . they didn’t take into account Cuban democrats.”

The negative response from the people whom Mr. Obama portrays as the beneficiaries of his initiative is one reason to question his contention that Cuba should be treated like China and Vietnam, two Communist nations with which the United States normalized diplomatic and economic relations decades ago. The United States was not able to join with opposition movements in those countries in demanding democratic reforms as part of a normalization process because, at the time, such movements barely existed in either place. In Cuba’s case, the opportunity was there.
...
In Cuba’s case, that means listening to the brave freedom fighters Mr. Obama spurned. Mr. Obama’s prescription was not the only alternative to what he saw as the failed policy of the past half-century. Opposition leaders from throughout the island have agreed on four immediate demands to put before the government: the release of political prisoners; the end of repression against human rights and pro-democracy groups; the ratification of international covenants on human rights; and the recognition of Cuban civil society groups.

Mr. Obama could have linked a step-by-step normalization with Cuba to the regime’s satisfaction of these steps, which stop far short of introducing democracy. Instead he settled for the release of 53 political prisoners — or about half the number that Cuban human rights activists say are held — and a vague promise of greater access to the Internet.
...
If U.S. policy is really to be revised and refocused on helping the Cuban people, it would be well to promote the changes that their citizen leaders are seeking — not just the ones sought by their totalitarian rulers.
Bipartisan Opposition to Obama Move

Note that Obama threw Cuban democracy activists under the bus and violate his pledge to work with them in the process. He did the same to the U.S. Congress. Members of both parties were appalled by the decision. Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ), son of Cuban immigrants and outgoing Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee said this deal "stinks."The Senator went on to say ""I think it's wrong. I am deeply disappointed in the president."" Menendez was not consulted which is standard practice and something that Obama again had pledge to do.

Nailing the point about consultations home, in confirmation hearings in November for Tony Blinken who was seeking a top State Department job there was clear promise made to Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), also the son of Cuban immigrants:
“Do you anticipate, during the rest of the president’s term, that there will be any unilateral change” to sanctions on Cuba absent democratic reforms, asked Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida, whose parents emigrated from Cuba to the U.S.

“Anything that might be done on Cuba will have to be consistent with the law,” Blinken replied. He added, “Anything that in the future might be done on Cuba would be done in full consultation” with Congress.
The day after the Senate voted to confirm Blinken Obama made his announcement. Since this plan was in the works for months it can only be concluded that the Obama Administration lied to Congress. It's not the first time.

Once again, Obama takes unilateral action that only caused more division, even in his own party. It won't help the Cuban people gain their freedom any more than his "reset" of relations with Russia did any good or engagement with Iran. Obama doubles down on stupid and we will regret it!

Washington Post Editorial: Obama's Immigration Move "Unprecendented"

Funny how the news of Obama's unconstitutional unilateral action got buried by other news like Ferguson and Garner. You might almost suspect it was planned!

Neat trick the Obamatons have of burying any unfortunate, embarrassing or politically damaging news stories by putting on an even bigger circus to attract media attention. And of course the media falls for it.

But as the din of the latest outrages subside, I thought we might want to review this editorial from the Washington Post on December 3rd. It's titled "President Obama’s unilateral action on immigration has no precedent." Here's an excerpt:
[I]t is increasingly clear that the sweeping magnitude of Mr. Obama’s order is unprecedented.
...
This is not a game of gotcha; facts matter — even in Washington — and so do the numbers. Under close scrutiny it is plain that the White House’s numbers are indefensible. It is similarly plain that the scale of Mr. Obama’s move goes far beyond anything his predecessors attempted.
...
Republicans’ failure to address immigration also does not justify Mr. Obama’s massive unilateral act. Unlike Mr. Bush in 1990, whose much more modest order was in step with legislation recently and subsequently enacted by Congress, Mr. Obama’s move flies in the face of congressional intent — no matter how indefensible that intent looks.

Keep in mind this is the Washington Post, heart and soul of the Washington establishment. It's not Fox New or Rush Limbaugh.

Meanwhile, a federal judge in Pennsylvania has written a decision which finds Obama's action unconstitutional. Legal scholars say the judge overstepped his bounds but why should that matter? After all, isn't that exactly what Obama is doing? Or will the rules of law only apply to Congress and the Judiciary and not the Executive Branch?

Your rich campaign contributors are enjoying their windfall at the expense of everyday Americans!

New York Liberal Mayor Violates Building Codes to Put Up 10' Fence to Keep the Citizens Away

Republican Mayors Guiliani and Bloomberg were fine with a six foot wall, but not limousine liberal DeBlasio!

Radical New York Mayor DeBlasio bills himself as a man of the people and has also encouraged protests against Police in New York which he calls "peaceful." If the protesters are so peaceful why did the Mayor erect a ten foot fence around the official mayoral residence? And why did he do it without obtaining the permits that every other citizen would be required to obtain?

The New York Post has the story.

Another liberal who hides behind layers of security while tossing the rest of us to the mob!

Man Who Conducted Enhanced Interrogations of KSM Slams Critics and Senate Report

Had the CIA not got the information that saved lives Senate Democrats would also be blaming this guy!

That bogus Senate Dem report on torture has taken up a week's worth of national news. During that time atrocities like the massacre of Muslim schoolchildren in Pakistan seem to less important than the waterboarding of JUST THREE of the very worst terrorists.

Also, that Senate Dem report failed to give anyone at CIA the chance to respond and released names and information which puts their lives at risk. One man, Dr. James Mitchell decided to speak out. Senate Dems never contacted him or allowed him to present his side of the story but he does so in an interview with Megyn Kelly. This is the condensed version with the final part.

If you want to know what really happened to these terrorists that Dems call "torture" watch this and learn:

Now you know why Senate Dems didn't want to hear from Dr. Mitchell or others at CIA. The truth might get in the way of the big lie that the Bush Administration was engaged in widespread torture!

One Month After Horrific Attack on Israeli Synagogue Where is International Support for Israeli Restraint?

And where is justice for those who were slaughtered?

When Israel responds to an attack there's an instant call from the West for restraint. Where is the recognition of Israel's restraint following an attack on a Synagogue last month? Where is the call for Palestinian restraint?

Once again, Western leaders look the other way as Muslim mass murderers commit acts of evil. No wonder these attacks are growing in frequency and death toll!

Taliban Monsters Kill 132 Children After Forcing Kids to Watch as Teacher Burned Alive

When will Obama wake up and do something?

The Daily Mail has the story and more pictures here.

One of the injured Pakistani children receiving urgent care.

ISIS Muslim Monsters behead children in Iraq and Syria. Boko Haram in Africa has been kidnapping children and forcing them to marry. All the Obama Administration did was have Michelle Obama and some State Department flunkies send out a tweet saying #bringbackourgirls.

Lone wolf attacks in Canada, New York City, Sydney and elsewhere are on the rise.

Obama's official statement following the attack Tuesday in Pakistan didn't even mention the Taliban. Perhaps because the Obama Administration has been negotiating with the Taliban and naming them as the culprits might get in the way. In the way of what? Justice for the children!

Since the September 11, 2001 attacks, and even further back, there has been a willful blindness on the part of many liberals. They don't want to admit the painful reality of Muslim terrorism and thus bend over backwards to either ignore the facts or, as Hillary Clinton did recently, somehow understand and "empathize" with them.

How do you empathize with monsters that do this to children and innocent people? The only rational course is to kill them before they kill more of us! You cannot negotiate with EVIL!

For a week Democrats have been fretting about a biased report decrying enhanced interrogation of a handful of terrorists during the Bush Administration. Will they allow the waterboarding of JUST THREE Muslim monsters who are alive and well today to eclipse this very real massacre and the need to address solutions to the problem?

Left's Response to Sony Execs Racial Remarks More Hypocrisy on Parade

You can imagine the uproar if a Republican said the same thing!

When Donald Stirling, now former owner of the L.A. Clippers Basketball team made some racist remarks that were leaked to the press liberals went bonkers and Stirling was forced to sell his team and was banned for life. When the emails of Hollywood libs at Sony Pictures were hacked the reaction was rather more muted.

Oprah provides the perfect contrast:
Oprah Winfrey defended Sony chair Amy Pascal on Monday after Pascal's racist comments about President Barack Obama were leaked to the media. "There are things that you say in your private conversations with your friends and with your colleagues that you would not want to be broadcast on CNN," she told CNN's Don Lemon. Yet in April, Oprah blasted former L.A. Clippers owner Donald Sterling for his tape-recorded racist comments.

"We're off the plantation! The plantation days are over!" Winfrey told TMZ, adding that she hoped the Clippers would be bought by Magic Johnson. Sterling was banned for life from the NBA and forced to sell the team.

There is no difference between the Pascal and Sterling cases. Both were victims of allegedly illegal eavesdropping.
The lesson here is that if you're part of the liberal in crowd you can say or do whatever you want and it's OK. If you're a Republican or otherwise unconnected from the rich and powerful left wing elite you'll be made an example as a warning to the rest of us to stay in line. Or, as Oprah would understand, if you don't do as your told, you'll be put back on that plantation!

Obama's Racial Policies Bring Out the Worst as NYC Protesters Call for "Dead Cops"

Imagine Obama's response if the Tea Party behaved like this?

Remember when the Tea Party was labeled as terrorists by top Democrats? Remember when Obama said they needed to behave in a civil manner and watch their language?

So, where is Obama when protesters in New York City chant "What do we want? Dead Cops" over and over and over? Silence!

Here's the video:

In newly released information from the FBI 76 cops were killed by assailants last year. Did you hear about ANY of these murders on the news?

I have an idea. Let's withdraw police from minority neighborhoods for a week and see what happens!

Obama Admin. Racial Agenda Now Extends to Car Buying

If you're black you might have gotten a bad deal on your latest car buy and the Obama Administration wants to send you a check!

It's a complicated story by Holman Jenkins in the Wall Street Journal titled "Finding Racism Where It Isn't." I summarize it here.

The Obama Administration's Consumer Financial Protection Bureau claims blacks are getting a bad deal when they go to buy a new car on credit. Actually, they don't know if the people getting a bad deal are black or not because there is no record of race attached to the transactions. They use a dubious statistical tool which looks at the buyer's last name and zip code to guess race. They then go after lenders who they feel have taken advantage of those buyers and demand rebates. If you're black and live in a white zip code you're out of luck. Ditto if your last name sounds white. Oh, and if you are white, forget about it.

Obviously, a government which has enough time to go around trying to guess your race and whether you got a good deal on the last car you bought has too much time and money on it's hands. And while I'm sure the blacks who benefit appreciate the gesture, very real problems like the murder epidemics in those same zip codes are going unanswered. At least they can drive those new cars to the funerals.

This example is just another in a long line of examples which reveal Obama's racialist policies. Start with the Department of Justice refusing to prosecute Black Panthers who violate the Voting Rights Act (that act is only to be used to protect blacks, not whites) and move on from there to Obama personally inserting himself in police matters like Skip Gates ("Cambridge Police Acted Stupidly"), Trayvon Martin and Ferguson.

The damage to race relations from these racialist policies will take years to heal!

Is the World Upside Down? UN Official Demands Prosecution of CIA for Interrogations, Does Little to Stop Beheading and Sex Enslavement of Children

Is there any better example of how useless the UN is?

The world is literally burning with war and violence breaking out all over the place in the wake of America's withdrawal under Obama. Meanwhile Democrats in the U.S. Senate have nothing better to do than spend $40 million on a report of old news regarding terrorist interrogation in which ONLY THREE of the very worst Al Queda monsters were waterboarded (an effort which saved thousands of live) and in which they did not interview ANY of the key CIA personnel.

That totally biased and partisan report is now being used to further undermine U.S. leadership around the world.

Based on that silly report, top officials in the United Nations are calling for the prosecution of CIA officers.

Forget all about the young girls being held as sex slaves by ISIS or the Christian girls beheaded in Mosul or the mass slaughter of Iraqi and Syrian men. Apparently their human rights are less important than the rights of these terrorist monsters.

Oh sure, we can probably dig up some lame statement from the U.N. condemning the violence but that's as far as it goes. Yet the killing goes on.

Unbelievable that Democrats would play into the hands of America's enemies with such a report but totally understandable that the U.N. has the moral issues completely upside down!

UPDATE: At the Wall Street Journal Former CIA Directors and Deputy Directors write joint op-ed Declaring that enhanced interrogations saved lives.  Ignore their expertise at your peril! More information here.

UPDATE: Reminder from Porter Goss, former Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee and later Director of the CIA. Democrats knew and approved of waterboarding and enhanced interrogation techniques at the time they were used.

READER QUESTION: If waterboarding JUST THREE TERRORISTS is such an egregious act that prosecution of those involved is warranted then should Obama be removed from office and prosecuted for ordering the drone attacks which have killed scores of innocent civilians?

And, how many people died from waterboarding vs. how many lives were saved by the information gathered?

Finally, if waterboarding is torture then why are we doing it to our troops to train them? Should Obama be prosecuted for torture?

Lena Dunham Lied. Another Left Wing Rape Hoax Exposed

If the problems they complain about are as serious as they say, why do they have to lie?

It seems like we could do one of these stories a week. Another lefty lies about some perceived crime or injustice, usually at the hands of some evil Republican or white guy.

Last week it was the gang rape charge at the University of Virginia, which tarred and feathered all the fraternities on campus. But the story was retracted by Rolling Stone which admits they could not verify the claim. And of course we've all heard the "hands up, don't shoot" lie in the Ferguson shooting case which was not supported by the evidence seen in the Grand Jury proceeding.

This tactic isn't new. Fake race and gender hoaxes are common. And let's not leave environmentalists out of this. They're not above hooking a propane tank up to their kitchen faucet and faking the claim that their water is hazardous to drink because of fracking.

Here's the particulars in the Lena Dunham case. Lena was happy to be part of the 2012 Obama campaign, and as such is a great conduit to promote the GOP war on women falsehood. Her autobiography was released recently in which she claimed she was raped by a College Republican named Barry, the campus "resident conservative" when she was a student at Oberlin College in Ohio.

In her memoirs Dunham gives specific details about the encounter. Now her publisher is backtracking. As John Nolte points out:
Lena Dunham apparently wants us to believe this was all some kind of crazy coincidence. Yes, the real Barry One was a prominent Oberlin Republican who worked at one of the school libraries during Dunham's time there. But when she described her alleged rapist as a prominent Oberlin Republican named Barry who worked at the school library, she didn't mean him.
The first thing I'd like to say is have you seen a photo of Lena Dunham? Who would want to rape that? But back to being serious. Barry's identity has been exposed and he's now been tarred with the charge that he's a rapist. He's planning to sue and I hope he does so. But like other hoaxes, the wrongfully maligned have difficulty getting their reputations back. Remember the damage done to the Duke LaCrosse players and those wrongfully accused in the Tawanna Brawley hoax.

As Eugene Volokh points out at the Washington Post more people will see the false and inflammatory charge than will ever see the correction. Barry's been trashed and solely because he's a conservative and therefore an easy target.

Most troubling about this latest fraud is the damage it does to real cases of rape. Dunham's lie reinforces the attitude that some rape victims are lying and real abuses will go either unreported or not prosecuted. Democrats like Dunham are waging a war on the truth and that's hurting women's lives in the same way that those who perpetuate the "hands up don't shoot" falsity in Ferguson damage race relations and take the focus off the real danger to black lives which are black killers, not the cops!

UPDATE: Dem Senator: Fake Dunham, UVA charges make advancing new law on sexual assault more difficult. You heard it here first!

UPDATE: Heather Wilhelm describes Dunham's distorted view of rape. Going back to childhood she accused her 2 year old sister and a man who looked at her as raping her.

Children Learn Important Lesson About Freedom and Leftwing Tyranny from Michelle Obama Lunch Program

School kids are taking to Twitter to mock and complain about Michelle sticking her big nose into their school lunch!

Let's face it. Young students today aren't likely to learn much about government and politics in the classroom. Teachers are too busy trying to brainwash kids with global warming and other blame America nonsense. But there is one place at school where kids can learn a practical lesson about politics and it's in the lunchroom.

Kids are taking to Twitter to complain about the crappy school lunches and blame Michelle Obama who as this report in the Washington Post suggests, is the driving force behind the change:
The country's public school meal program has undergone a good deal of change over the past few years, largely driven by a national push for more nutritious lunch trays. And Michelle Obama, arguably the school nutrition movement's most public proponent, has become a symbol of the healthier meals. She was an instrumental player in the implementation of new health standards in 2012.
The Twitter hashtag #ThanksMichelleObama has gone viral in the past few weeks with kids putting photos of their yucky lunches online. Would you eat this?

Some of their comments are pretty on the money:
  • Another filling lunch brought to you by Michelle Obama
  • Michelle Obama ruined my lunch starter pack
  • I bet prisoners eat better food!
  • Sometimes, you can never have enough ketchup.
  • thanks to you I've just stopped eating. At four dollars I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy
Yes, prisoners probably do get better food and more freedom to decide what to eat!

Students are learning that big government will stick it's nose into their lives with unpleasant results. A good lesson to learn at an early age. Next time they see some liberal do gooder politician claim to have their best interests at heart they can keep in mind that it comes with a cost: the loss of their freedom to make even the most basic decisions about what to eat!

Bon appetite!

At University of Virginia Another Big Lie Exposed but Also After the Damage is Done

Rolling Stone didn't fact check story of rape at UVA because it fit with their prejudices and phony war on women!

Months after the most damaging charges in the Ferguson shooting of Mike Brown were repeatedly splashed across the media, the Grand Jury report comes out and multiple black eye witnesses and the forensic evidence reveal the truth. Too little and too late for people who either don't hear the correction or don't care.

And now, another case. Rolling Stone Magazine broke a story about sexual assault at the University of Virginia that got widespread national news coverage. Too bad it wasn't true either. Rolling Stone has now apologized. But will all those who saw the original reports now see the correction? Will they care? The damage has been done and UVA fraternities have been lynched in the media. Meanwhile, UVA has suspended all fraternities as angry protests comprised of the usual troublemakers shut down parts of the campus.

How many examples have we seen of left wing fakery and lies? What does it say about the strength of their case if they have to lie?

Media leapt to the charge but will the correction receive the same attention? Will the protesters who assumed the frats were guilty apologize? Don't bet on it.  Like the Duke LaCrosse Players wrongfully accused of rape, where do UVA frats go to get their reputations back?

No Riots, No Looting When Black Cop Shoots White Teen in Albama

Grand Jury found no reason to indict. Where was Obama and Al Sharpton?

A story from 2012 illustrates the selective outrage of the race grievance industry. From the Washington Times:

Unarmed Gil Collar, 18 years old. 5'7" 135 pounds killed by black cop in Mobile, Alabama.
No riots. No looting. The cop wasn't indicted and still has his job.

Gilbert Collar, a white, unarmed 18-year-old under the influence of drugs was shot and killed Oct. 6, 2012, by Officer Trevis Austin, who is black, in Mobile, Alabama. Despite public pressure for an indictment, a Mobile County grand jury refused to bring charges against Officer Austin, concluding that the officer acted in self-defense.

The circumstances mirror those of the Aug. 9 shooting death of Michael Brown, a black unarmed 18-year-old under the influence of drugs by Officer Darren Wilson, who is white, in Ferguson.
...
The discrepancy in the reaction to and coverage of the two grand jury decisions has not been lost on social media, where critics are citing the Collar case to counter those who say Brown was the victim of racism in both law enforcement and judicial system.
...
Critics also note there has been no rioting or sustained protest in Mobile, even though the slightly built Collar, unlike Brown, never touched the officer and, because he was naked when he was shot, was more obviously unarmed.

Both shooting victims were found with marijuana in their systems.
...

Collar also tried to bite the driver while the vehicle’s passenger, a former university football player, punched him repeatedly in the face.

Although Collar was just 5-feet-7 and 135 pounds, the blows “didn’t faze him,” Ms. Rich said at the press conference, a video of which was posted on AL.com.

When he arrived at the police station, Collar began banging on the outside windows, then walked in the general direction of Officer Austin, who had his gun drawn.

The officer shot Collar in the chest while he was still several feet away, according to reports based on a surveillance video.

“At no point during the ensuing moments did Gilbert Collar ever touch Officer Austin. On one or more occasions, Gilbert Collar went to the ground and put distance between himself and Officer Austin,” the complaint said.

“Officer Austin had ample opportunity to obtain his baton and pepper spray, to holster his weapon and to use his own physical abilities, if necessary, or to prolong the situation and wait for back up to arrive.”
Another difference is that Officer Austin is still on duty unlike Darren Wilson who was forced to resign after death threats made his continued employment a security risk for other officers. There are no reports of death threats for Officer Austin.

Should whites now demand that black officers be removed from Police forces in predominantly white areas? Should whites riot for justice? Or should the fools in Ferguson pushing a phony racism charge just shut the f### up and stop lying about what really happened? I vote for the latter!

Where can I get a bumper sticker that says:
"Hands Up, Don't Loot or I shoot!"

Ferguson Fascists Close Freeway in San Diego Denying Others Their Right to Get to Work

How many times have we seen left wing fascists put their rights above others?

How many times has Obama bent over backwards to excuse lawless behavior on the part of those protesting in the Ferguson case? Heather MacDonald at City Journal describes how he seems to go out of his way to criticize the police yet has few words of rebuke for the lawless actions of so-called protesters. I suppose it shouldn't surprise anyone that a guy who has been a lawless President in so many ways, would also look the other way when others follow his example.

Neither should we be surprised when the left puts it's rights to free speech ahead of the rights of others. It happens on college campuses everyday where anyone with a point of view not in line with the left's dogma is shouted down or denied the right to be heard.

But now, no longer limited to the college scene, these Ferguson protesters shut down a freeway in San Diego and prevent working people from getting to work. Like burning down black owned businesses in Ferguson and putting black families out of work before Christmas this is what the left would do to all of us if given the chance and with every encouragement from Obama:

Here's the story from Breitbart and an excerpt from one angry black man who informed these protesting fools what they were doing to him and his family:
When a group of students protesting the Ferguson grand jury decision shut down Interstate 5 during Wednesday morning rush hour, thousands of people became late for work. Some got out of their cars to watch the protesters, while others simply waited for police. But one man angrily confronted them, stealing a protester's bullhorn to shout back a message of his own. Now, video of the man's rant has gone viral, with some calling him a "hero" for standing up to the protesters.

"I gotta go to Ross right now, homie," Tyree Landrum told ABC 10News San Diego in the video. "If I don't get there, I'm gonna get fired. I got six f***ing kids to feed, I gotta get this car off the... Day goes on homie. M*****f***ers get shot every f***ing day. Deal with it the right f***ing way, not like this."

Landrum can then be seen in the video confronting a protester, yelling, "I'm about to lose my f***ing job, and you guys are f***ing out here protesting?"

One woman wearing medical scrubs got out of her car and began yelling at the protesters. "Arrest them!" the nurse yelled. "We have doctors and nurses that have to save lives here."

Police reportedly arrived about a half hour after the protest began, and immediately cleared the freeway. None of the protesters were arrested.
Here's the video.

One area resident wasso moved by Tyree Landrum's rant he set up a special online fund to help Tyree buy his kid's presents. The fund has raised over $10,000. None of it likely coming from race hustlers like Al Sharpton or the lefty tools who think they have the right to close a freeway!

It's a shame that all the blacks who lost their jobs because their business was burned in Ferguson or their right to work was impeded by protesters couldn't all speak out in the same way as Tyree. It's time they should!

UPDATE: Ferguson Freeway Fascists block traffic in D.C.

So called "protesters" blocked traffic in Washington, D.C. on Monday preventing people from getting to work. Note that they did NOT block traffic around the White House. Imagine the federal response if members of the Tea Party engaged in similar behavior!

Standing in the Way of Left Wing Mob Rule: Former Fed Prosecutor Debunks Myths of Ferguson Prosecution

What was clear in Ferguson, as in so many other racebaiting cases is that revenge, not justice, is what the left demands!

Andrew McCarthy, the former Federal Prosecutor in New York who prosecuted and put behind bars the Blind Sheikh from the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. Here's an excerpt of his take on the Ferguson Grand Jury announcement. It's worth reading in full:
It is irrelevant whether an idea around which the Left’s avant-garde rouse the rabble is true; the point is the idea’s power to mold consciousness and rally the troops.
...
Darren Wilson was a white cop and Michael Brown was a black teenager killed in a violent confrontation with Wilson. Therefore, Brown was the victim of a cold-blooded, racially motivated murder, Q.E.D. That is the myth, and it will be served — don’t bother us with the facts.

Once you’ve got that, none of the rest matters. In fact, at the hands of the left-leaning punditocracy, the rest was pure Alinsky: a coopting of language — in this instance, the argot of grand-jury procedure — to reason back to the ordained conclusion that “justice” demanded Wilson’s indictment for murder. And, of course, his ultimate conviction.
...
The critics’ claim that Wilson’s innocence is put in doubt by “conflicting testimony” is legally and factually frivolous. Legally, our system resolves all doubt in favor of the accused — as the Left is apt to remind us when a terrorist is in the dock, this is called the “presumption of innocence.” Factually, the chatter about “conflicting testimony” falsely implies that all testimony is created equal. In reality, accounts given by anti-Wilson witnesses, where not patently fabricated, tended to be discredited by forensic evidence. The forensics, instead, corroborated the exculpatory testimony — much of which came from African-American witnesses, a fact that undermines the myth and therefore goes largely unnoticed. The grand-jury rules are more permissive than those that govern criminal trials, but prosecutors are still ethically barred from asking the grand jury to rely on testimony they believe is false, inaccurate, or unconvincing.

Add to that the facts that Wilson’s own testimony would have powerfully influenced a jury (as a credible defendant’s testimony always does), and that Wilson would have had the benefit of Missouri law, which looks favorably on the use of deadly force by police officers who are endangered in attempting to make an arrest. A jury would have acquitted Wilson in short order — assuming for argument’s sake that the judge had not dismissed the case for lack of evidence before letting it get to jury deliberations.

If the Michael Brown shooting were an ordinary case, a grand jury would never have been asked to consider indicting Officer Wilson. McCulloch, the chief prosecutor, directed his office to present it to the grand jury because it was not an ordinary case — because it was a racially charged case in which Al Sharpton’s notorious “No Justice, No Peace” demagoguery was amplified by the community organizers in the White House and the most politicized Justice Department in American history.

Ordinarily, prosecutors unilaterally decide whether or not to seek an indictment and, in the rare instance when anyone asks why they decided as they did, are restrained by investigative-secrecy protocols from explaining their decision. But McCulloch was understandably unwilling to make a unilateral judgment for which he would have been unable to defend himself from inevitable charges of racism. He thus directed his office to make an exhaustive presentation to the grand jury. It was both a Pontius Pilate–style abdication that made the community, rather than himself, accountable for the charging decision; and a vehicle that, with the court’s blessing, enabled him to disclose the voluminous evidence justifying the decision not to indict.

All very reasonable, but let’s not pretend reason has anything to do with what happened in Ferguson this week. In Liberal Fascism’s focus on myth, Jonah recalls Mussolini’s assertion, “It is faith that moves mountains, not reason. Reason is a tool, but it can never be the motive force of the crowd.” The crowd in Ferguson was moved to riot on the article of a false faith that condemns America and its police forces as incorrigibly racist. It is from this condemnation that all purported “reasoning” proceeds.

Such reasoning dictates that our constitutional right not to be indicted in the absence of just cause should be subordinated to the mob’s demand for a public trial. Succeeding in that legerdemain, it next dictates that our constitutional right not to be convicted in the absence of proof beyond a reasonable doubt be subordinated to the mob’s demand for a guilty verdict.
Isn't it amazing how the left will presume innocence, even after conviction in a jury trial, when a police officer is murdered by a black assailant such as the celebrated Abu Jamal but refuses to accept the not guilty verdict in the Trayvon Martin or no indictment in Ferguson. But perhaps I shouldn't be surprised as McCarthy points out the left just changes their tune to suit their objective. And that objective is NOT justice but mob rule by the left!

Liberal Reaction to Mugging Shows why Racial Apologists Will Block Real Minority Progress

When you make excuses for bad behavior there is no reason to expect positive change!

Michael Brown, killed in Ferguson Missouri, would be alive today if he had obeyed the cop's order to get out of the street and walk on the sidewalk. He would be alive today if he had actually put his hands up and surrendered after the fracas with Police Officer Darren Wilson. Heck, he'd likely still be alive today if instead of turning and charging at Wilson he had just run away. But that's not what happened. The evidence is clear.

Instead of driving that message home Obama and the race hustlers blame the police. On Tuesday night Obama spent hundreds of words lecturing the police, very few on the real problem of black crime and attitudes towards cops.

That attitude that somehow the cops are to blame was amplified in a Time Magazine column written by Columbia University professor John McWhorter who suggests that the reason Brown acted was because of "the preset hostility to the cops that Brown apparently harbored. And that hostility was key because it was indeed totally justified."

With that kind of excuse making is it any wonder there is so much violence in the black community?

In that same vein, Oliver Friedfeld is a student at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He was mugged recently by young black men. In a letter to the school newspaper he describes his feelings on the matter. Not only did he say he forgives them, but he understands the reasons that justify the crime:
Not once did I consider our attackers to be “bad people.” I trust that they weren’t trying to hurt me. In fact, if they knew me, I bet they’d think I was okay. They wanted my stuff, not me. While I don’t know what exactly they needed the money for, I do know that I’ve never once had to think about going out on a Saturday night to mug people. I had never before seen a gun, let alone known where to get one. The fact that these two kids, who appeared younger than I, have even had to entertain these questions suggests their universes are light years away from mine. . .

Who am I to stand from my perch of privilege, surrounded by million-dollar homes and paying for a $60,000 education, to condemn these young men as “thugs?” It’s precisely this kind of “otherization” that fuels the problem.
Friedfeld is in the School of Foreign Service at Georgtown. When he graduates he'll get a job at the State Department where that warped "blame America" type of thinking will fit right in as diplomats excuse Iran getting a nuke and sympathize with the grievances of terrorists.

Liberal Guilt and Race Hustling Block Racial Progress and Black Safety

Jason Riley, himself black, points out in the Wall Street Journal, that the real tragedy here is the refusal to be honest about the epidemic of crime among blacks. It isn't just privileged whites like Freidfeld getting mugged, it's thousands of blacks being killed not by police officers but other blacks:
According to the FBI, homicide is the leading cause of death among young black men, who are 10 times more likely than their white counterparts to be murdered. And while you’d never know it watching MSNBC, the police are not to blame. Blacks are just 13% of the population but responsible for a majority of all murders in the U.S., and more than 90% of black murder victims are killed by other blacks. Liberals like to point out that most whites are killed by other whites, too. That’s true but beside the point given that the white crime rate is so much lower than the black rate.

Blacks commit violent crimes at 7 to 10 times the rate that whites do. The fact that their victims tend to be of the same race suggests that young black men in the ghetto live in danger of being shot by each other, not cops. Nor is this a function of “over-policing” certain neighborhoods to juice black arrest rates. Research has long shown that the rate at which blacks are arrested is nearly identical to the rate at which crime victims identify blacks as their assailants. The police are in these communities because that’s where the emergency calls originate, and they spend much of their time trying to stop residents of the same race from harming one another.
...
Racial profiling and tensions between the police and poor black communities are real problems, but these are effects rather than causes, and they can’t be addressed without also addressing the extraordinarily high rates of black criminal behavior—yet such discussion remains taboo. Blacks who bring it up are sell-outs. Whites who mention it are racists.
...
And if black criminal behavior is a response to white racism, how is it that black crime rates were lower in the 1940s and 1950s, when black poverty was higher, racial discrimination was rampant and legal, and the country was more than a half-century away from twice electing a black president?
...
Pretending that police behavior is the root of the problem is not only a dodge but also foolish. The riots will succeed in driving business out of town, which means that Ferguson’s residents will be forced to pay more at local stores or travel farther for competitive prices on basic goods and services. Many Ferguson residents today can’t go to work because local businesses have been burned down.

Even worse, when you make police targets, you make low-income communities less safe. Ferguson’s problem isn’t white cops or white prosecutors; it’s the thug behavior exhibited by individuals like Michael Brown, which puts a target on the backs of other young black men. Romanticizing such behavior instead of condemning it only makes matters worse.
Once again, the race hustlers and their media enablers block any honest discussion of the real problem. Since they profit from the hysteria there seems little chance the situation will improve any time soon. How many more blacks will die before the black community recognizes that cops aren't the problem?

A Victim of Ferguson Rioters Finds Justice in Kindness of American People

Nancy Dubose's dream of owning a bakery was shattered by looters but restored by the generosity of the American people!

Nancy Dubose, a single mom with two children, had a dream. She loved to bake and wanted to open her own business in Ferguson, Missouri. She sold cakes on weekends to save money to open her shop and finally achieved the dream in June. Then the trouble started. For weeks after the Michael Brown shooting not a single customer walked through the door. Then, after the Grand Jury announcement rioters broke the windows of her shop and damaged her equipment.

After viewing the damage tears run down Nancy's face as she wonders whether her dream has been shattered:

Nancy isn't alone. 25 businesses destroyed, damaged or looted in Ferguson were minority owned. Thanks to the rioters scores of workers are out of jobs right before the holidays. Where is their justice?

Fortunately, Nancy is going to be OK. Some kind soul set up an internet funding campaign to raise money to restore Nancy's shop. As of this writing over $109,000 has been contributed by over 3,500. The amount may go much higher after Rush Limbaugh gave out the address on his radio show Wednesday afternoon. Something tells me that Al Sharpton is not among those contributing to restore Nancy's dream!

Top Democrat Says ObamaCare Was a Mistake

But he won't help fix the problem!

From National Journal. Excerpt of remarks at the National Press Club by New York Senator Chuck Schumer, the #3 Democrat in the U.S. Senate:
"After passing the stimulus, Democrats should have continued to propose middle-class-oriented programs and built on the partial success of the stimulus, but unfortunately Democrats blew the opportunity the American people gave them," Schumer said. "We took their mandate and put all of our focus on the wrong problem—health care reform."

The third-ranking Senate Democrat noted that just about 5 percent of registered voters in the United States lacked health insurance before the implementation of the law, arguing that to focus on a problem affecting such "a small percentage of the electoral made no political sense."

The larger problem, affecting most Americans, he said, was a poor economy resulting from the recession. "When Democrats focused on health care, the average middle-class person thought, 'The Democrats aren't paying enough attention to me,' " Schumer said.
A stark admission but too little and way too late!

Is This What Justice Looks Like for Ferguson Protesters?

People who don't respect the rule of law deserve no consideration for their views!

UPDATE: AP has a report about the changing stories of some of the people who claimed Wilson executed Brown. Turns out some of them were not even at the scene and others changed their story once the autopsy results were released. Will these "mistaken" or lying people be held accountable?

NBC has the story of Officer Darren Wilson, the policeman who shot and killed Michael Brown. Wilson's testimony was found to be accurate and matched the other facts in the case. What a shame this news couldn't have been released immediately after the shooting. Everything else you heard about the shooting was a lie. Not that it matters to the looters, shooters and rioters in Ferguson.

UPDATE: Obama supports controls on police but says very little about criminal violence.

Obama was in Chicago Tuesday. He spoke one sentence condemning the criminal violence in Ferguson yet that appeal to law and order was lost in remarks that suggested the police, not just in Ferguson, but nationwide were partly to blame.

He went on to say he "instructed the Attorney General" to investigate not the looters, but the Ferguson Police and to extend those efforts nationwide focusing on law enforcement, not law breakers. Holder was instructed to "start identifying very specific steps that we can take to make sure that law enforcement is fair and it is being applied equally to every person in this country." While he said he had "no sympathy at all for destroying your own communities," the totality of his statement suggests otherwise.

Michael Brown is dead because he was a thug who strong armed a convenience store owner and tried to take the gun away from a cop. And instead of surrendering, he charged the officer. This has NOTHING to do with law enforcement attitudes towards blacks and Obama should be ashamed for pretending it does. No wonder so little progress in race relations has been made during his tenure as President!

UPDATE: Witness statement confirms Officer Wilson's account. How long will he live if his name is revealed?

From the NY Times report:
Some people claiming to be eyewitnesses said Mr. Brown was shot in the back, Mr. McCulloch said, but later changed their stories when autopsies found no injuries entering his back. But others, African-Americans who did not speak out publicly, he said, consistently said that the youth had menaced the officer.
Will those who lied in their initial testimony and in police interviews be held accountable? Don't bet on it!

Then, there are the other black eyewitnesses who told the truth. Here's the entire testimony of Witness #10. Page down to the yellow highlighted area. Witness #10 said he saw the initial scuffle and heard the gunshot inside the police officers car and feared that Brown had murdered Wilson. Witness #10 continues:
WITNESS #10: The police officer exited the vehicle with his weapon drawn pursuing Mr. Brown. Mr. Brown was quite a distance and he stopped and when he stopped, he didn't get down on the ground or anything. He turned around and he did some type of movement. I never seen him put his hands up or anything. I can?t recall the movement that he did. I?m not sure if he pulled his pants up or whatever he did but I seen some type of movement and he started charging towards the police officer. The police officer then returned fire, well, not returned fire, open fire on Mr. Brown.
...Um, after that, Mr. Brown then paused. He-he-he stopped running and when he stopped running the police officer stopped firing. And, then Mr. Brown continued, started again to charge towards him and after that the police officer returned fire and um well not returned, I?m using wrong. . .a started to fire once more at him. Um, if I had to guess the rounds that were fired then it would be four to five more shots and after that Mr. Brown collapsed and fell to the ground.
The blood trail of forensic evidence at the scene presented to the Grand Jury also confirms the movements testified by both the witness above and Officer Wilson.

UPDATE: Aerial photos show extent of the damage. Where is the justice for those who lost jobs and property?

How many of these burned out businesses were black owned? How many blacks are out of work right before Christmas? Full size images here.

From the Daily Mail.

Burning down the pizza restaurant. How many jobs were lost?

Looting a liquor store. Is this justice? What does it tell you about these people?

The police showed restraint. Not so for the rioters.

I have NO respect for people who do this to the flag.

Since when did looting become a legitimate tool of protest? This isn't political protest. It's mayhem. SCUM!

UPDATE: Full testimony of Officer Wilson before the Grand Jury is here. Full transcript of Grand Jury proceedings is here. Note how the NY Times story describes the outcome:
The most credible eyewitnesses to the shooting death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo., said he had charged toward Police Officer Darren Wilson just before the final, fatal shots, the St. Louis County prosecutor said Monday night as he sought to explain why a grand jury had not found probable cause to indict the officer.

The accounts of several other witnesses from the Ferguson neighborhood where Mr. Brown, 18 and unarmed, met his death on Aug. 9 — including those who said Mr. Brown was trying to surrender — changed over time or were inconsistent with physical evidence, the prosecutor, Robert P. McCulloch, said in a news conference.

“The duty of the grand jury is to separate fact and fiction,” he said in a statement watched by a tense nation. “No probable cause exists to file any charges against Darren Wilson.”
...
So, the whole nasty hubbub was founded on a lie! How do you suppose that happened? Who benefited from the outrage? Race hustlers like Al Sharpton, Obama and the Democrats who shamefully used the lie to stoke anger in the black community to motivate them to vote!
